Quote:Yes, your advice is 100% spot-on, because as we all know, the entire game consists of nothing but AE boss farms...Something I have noticed while fighting lvl 52 bosses in ae farms with my lvl 50 fire blaster.
I can strip aggro from a tank who only uses auras as their taunts far, far easier than a tank who spams taunt whenever it is up.
So my imput to a anyone who want to be a tank is take your auras, TAKE TAUNT. -

No numbers here really, but I just ran 2 missions back to back solo set for +1/x4 and got ONE recipe drop off an enemy defeat. Obviously two missions is a very limited amount to base anything off of, but it sure seems to me that something is off.

In my experience, both scrappers and brutes are going to find themselves pretty squishy using Shields without significant IO investment. The best you can achieve without using any set IO's and including Weave is about 30% defense.

Quote:Just remember, you can't truly be considered an 'uber healor' unless you also take the entire Medicine pool to max out your healing ability. Now, you may need to make some sacrifices in your power selections to do this. Best not to take any of your secondary attacks beyond the first required one. That way you won't be wasting any time attacking when you could be firing off those sweet, sweet heals. Then I misrepresented myself. I meant:
"If I were to try to defend my team, what is the powerful heal that I see being spammed all over the place. [then a joke that I wanted to do it. my bad for adding that since you dont' know me]. Liberty is sometimes sparsely populated as I can tell by doing a /whoall and finding only a few of whatever we need on a team. Could going to a more populated server be better?" -
It can be finished by 2. Or 4. Or even one person solo.

Quote:There are a fair number of temp powers that you can get multiple times by using Ouroboros to repeat the arc or mission that granted the power. However, many of the flashback versions are somewhat weaker than the originals.Welcome to the city mrmeeowgi!
Like any city there's alot to do if you can find it. I said before I been playing 2+ Years and still haven't done All there is to do. If you want extra goodies look for Missions with rewards. One example and one of my favorites is the pet Warwolf you get doing a Mission in Striga Isle. It a bummer that you only get to summon a Warwolf 5 times.

Quote:Agreed. TF's are great ways to level up and get XP. You'll almost always have a full team that is pretty much guaranteed to stick together for the entire time. Plus you get merit rewards on top of the XP. And now with the upcoming SSK system, even exemping down for lower level TF's will still give XP.Ah your in the 30 hump! Yeah the levels in the higher 30s tend to level slower for some reason. Or it just feels that way. One way is to do some Task Forces the XP rewards are good and with a Great team can be gained fast. Me I tend to run Imperious Task Force when I hit those levels. There is also the Lady Grey Task Force in the RWZ.
One of my Friends after hitting level 10 does nothing but Task forces, Trials, and Radio Safeguard Missions.
In addition to ITF & LGTF, Manticore and Numina are both fun and can be knocked out pretty quickly with a good team. Respec trials are another fun & quick way to knock out some XP. -
Quote:You were not forced to seek help outside of the game. If you had used the in-game Help channel, you likely would have had an answer within seconds. You could also have asked the same question in one of your server's global channels or even Broadcast, and again likely would have gotten a very quick answer. My apologies for my frustration, and i appreciate your answers and candor. I just don't see why anybody should have to seek help outside of the game. Why can't these things be explained in C.O.H.. As it stands now I have to cheat my way to a destination beacon. I guess that's life.

Quote:Then you've teamed with some bad tankers. I have a 50 Dark Armor/Fire tank and I have never had an issue getting and holding agro without taunt. The Taunt power is not the only tool at a tanker's disposal with a taunt component to it.The Tanker AT's main purpose is to hold aggro as you said...the part I'm having trouble with is the some have it...some don't. The only Tanker Primary that can get away with no taunt is maybe Ice Armor. Past that, if your a tanker without taunt...your just a scrapper trying to be a tank in disguise. Over the past 2 weeks, I've team with various tankers without taunt and each time...they have face-planted the whole team because they could not hold the aggro so the squishie ATs could support/heal/buff that particular tanker.

Short answer is that player attacks have a base hit chance of 75% in PvE. This is further modified by the accuracy of the attack. Most attacks have an accuracy of 1.0, while many weapon attacks, like Katana, have a modifier of 1.05. You can see that using the in-game numbers. -
The only people paying 100K for common salvage are players who have so much inf they don't care, impatient players that can't wait even 5 minutes for a reasonable bid to fill, and players who just look at the last 5 sales and bid whatever the highest price was.

Quote:You can store a small amount of salvage in your personal vault and you can also use SG base storage racks for more. However, you are going to be much better off simply selling your salvage at Wentworth's or the Black Market, then using the inf you gain to buy whatever salvage you need in the future. Same thing applies with IO recipes. It is normally more efficient to simply sell them on the market rather than carry a bunch around taking up storage space.I've played a few MMOs and one thing I like about CoH is that it's different from any others I've played. Of course, this means I've had to make some adjustments and a big one is "loot". I'm pretty good at this point of either using an enhancement or selling it and similarly I use inspirations all the time so I have room for new ones, but I'm having some trouble with salvage. I don't want to sell what I don't use because I might find a recipe and need what I sold and no store sells it. Of course, I don't have room to keep everything. I'm curious how others handle this issue.

Ultima Online has been running for 12 years this month, and still has over 100k subscribers. I could easily see CoH lasting at least that long.

And, as is also true in real life, the poor are often poor simply because they don't know how to manage money. You could give a poor person a million dollars, and chances are, within a year or two they would be right back where they were before they got it.

Quote:Ouch!BI, it's not that your opinion is different, it's that your opinion is stupid.
Had you come into this thread stating any of the following:
1: I think the XP nerf goes overboard. Yes, they're easy, but this is too much.
2: They deserved no nerf at all. They get dull pain and a self-res.
3: Yup, they're a cakewalk, they deserve the nerf.
THEN you'd be sharing an on-topic opinion.
But you don't do that. You never have. You've always been the ridiculous waste of space doomcrier that you're being in this thread.
Do you speak on the topic at hand? Oh, no, you come in torches burning, screaming at all the nonbelievers, "NERFS ARE KILLING THE GAME!!! THEY'VE ALWAYS BEEN KILLING THE GAME!!!! DOOOOM!!!!"
And yet there's still over 100000 people playing. Just like last time.
