I LOVED auto-assault, still sad it closed down. Earth and Beyond is another one that went down.
  2. None to soon. Seems like he just got less talented the older he got.

Not all of them really though. Just demons and robots mainly, because they are huge and loud. I dont really notice the more humanoid pets. But, everyone plays Robots and Demons.

I do hope and pray for a day when MMs don't have to have all 6 pets out for max efficiency on teams, and can stick with 2 or 3. Especially ever since AoE shielding came out having them around feels blinding.
I actually prefer Mercs for my MM's, my Merc/Pain is my 'main'. I actually like having my little army of men, and am working on getting Lore pets on top of my boys. *Laughs*

I don't know what it is about Arctic Air I can't get enough of. It's just such a weird power, and any time I play another game I always quickly go, "Yep, nothing like AA in this game, gotta go back." And yet the set itself is not what I'd call crazy powerful, and I can see a lot of people really hating it.
I am actually encountering the same thing with Masterminds. "Welp...I can't summon my own army...back to CoH!"
  5. Me or my in game character? In game, my main is just a guy who happens to be good with an assault rifle, and he just happens to know a couple of other guys who ALSO use rifles. He's also very good at convincing people that they don't hurt near as much as they think they do. Merc/Pain. Me personally? Eh. I'd live my life the same as always, and just...try to avoid any situations with people who had superpowers.
  6. While we're talking about in character reactions...my mastermind spread out his soldiers around Statesman in a defensive pattern, then focus fired Darrin. When he EVENTUALLY took enough knock-out serum to force him to retreat, my mastermind shook his head at the fallen Statesman, took off his coat to cover the body, then ordered his men to carry the fallen hero out of the ruins. It was a sad day, but it isn't like he hasn't seen people, even close, powerful friends die before. But...Wade will pay for what he has done.
  7. There will always be negativity on the forums. On any forums, anywhere. It could be a Carebear forum, and people would be complaining that Hugs-a-lot has to much brown on him or something like that.
  8. Yup. With...burnout, is it? Someone correct me if I am wrong.
  9. Thugs are considered the current best set, I believe. I may love the crap out of my Mercs, but Thugs are just overall better.

As for builds...depends. I think Dechs has a good guide floating around out there, even if I do disagree with his opinion on personal attacks.
  10. Eh, I hit that point with another nameless MMO. I hit that point where they changed way to many things from the core game, and I hated it. I haven't been here long enough to experience a change large enough to trigger that response in me yet. Now...if City of Heroes were to suddenly, say, take out the slotting and enhancing system and give you a choice to add some little effect as opposed to enhancing them out, then I might flip my wig.

No, you're right, they do less damage. Mainly due to the T2 minions being low damage dealers and...you know. Lethal. But I don't notice them being like, minutes behind everyone else or anything. At most it elongates EB's by half a minute or so, at absolute worst a full minute. It is slower, just not "HO MAH GAWD!" levels of slower.
  12. Yup, there's another thread on it somewhere around here. Ragdoll physics are currently a bit on the borked side. You'll also notice the effect with any abilities that cause clutter, such as rocks, junk from propel, or shells from AR/Mercs/Pistols. Used to they'd leave behind a sizeable amount, now they leave behind very little.

It doesn't really take me all that much longer to kill things on my mercs as compared to my other MM's ((And at this point I have at least one of every MM sans the upcoming Beast Master at at least level 32)). I'm just not likely to make another because I have something along the lines of four of them at various levels. But seeing as to how I don't see many if ANY other Mercs now days, I was expecting to see them a lot more in this thread.
  14. Eot? Bmuht? Eenk? Gel? Pih? Hcamots? Traeh?
  15. Merc mastermind. Not because I don't enjoy them, I just have to many. *Laughs*

I'm not...FEELING Peacebringers yet. They just aren't singing to me. They aren't bad, just...off. Maybe I just need more levels.
  16. You weren't really presenting factual "Cons" though, you were presenting your opinion as fact. The first being a strict rule in place to prevent people from flooding the market with these enhancements, the second being...just your average problem, not something specific to the question at hand. Understandable that it irritates you, but not really 'cons' overall.
  17. I enjoyed it, but I did have a problem or two. Mainly that all of that end stuff could have been avoided if Statesmen had taken five steps to his left, and THEN approached Wade. Second that there was no big battle. Don't get me wrong, I know Wade wouldn't have stood a chance, but he could have used a couple of unwitting decoys or lackeys to have distracted Statesman and or forced him onto that spot. Would have felt much better to me.

And yeah, gotta admit I was somewhat surprised by the difficulty of those last fights. Had to rethink my strategy and go tankermind on it.

To an extent I get that. But at the same time, you've got bigger, badder villains who have been out for Statesmans blood for a long time. Not to mention any specific names. I also think it adds a certain amount of arrogance "I am the only one strong enough to take down Statesman!" when really...we're all approaching god like levels of power at this point.

  20. Even the trainer in the tutorial refuses to teach you anything.
  21. I support this on the basis that it's IAI STYLE. Which is freaking awesome. Do want.
  22. Yes, this was an accidental leak. The one responsible for said leak was promptly blown to bits. Reportedly, he got better.
  23. You can slot resistance, yes. And you'll definitely want to slot your Prince for Endurance redux at or around 32, since it gets even worse with that second set of upgrade powers.

Something to note about the AoE heal is that it goes off every twenty seconds, ready or not, in combat or not.
  24. You can right click on a summon ability, then click info. It'll tell you what it summons, and then give a list of abilities and numbers for the minions. You can do the same with the upgrade abilities as well, BUT the thing to keep in mind there is that it doesn't show updated numbers for enhancements, but enhancements DO effect upgrade powers.

Finally, you'll probably want to toss some endurance reduction onto your second tier demon summons, otherwise they run out of endurance over longer fights once you get their second upgrade power. You CAN slot them for heals, and it will effect both their standard heal and the AoE heal they get later, but most people suggest leaving them unslotted since minions won't use heal powers unless you've taken at least the powers amount of healing in damage.
