I f**king love this community. You're all very helpful despite my poor grammar and lackluster sentence structure. I'm not 100% happy with the devs for making these non-recipe drops but I guess I can live with that. Be well my friends.
-
I hate to put my ignornace on parade but i'll take solace in the whole, "There are no dumb questions..." line of thinking. How or where so ATO recipes drop? I've never received one from a drop since their inception. I discovered that you can buy them using Astral Merits but is there any other way outside of the Auction House and A-Merits to procure them?

Is it too late to vote for Ill/Storm? Epic chaos and a massive fun. Win/win.

This explains the thousands killed on U.S. Highways every year...

Title pretty much covers it. I've been contemplating rolling up a Fire/Dark/Stone Troller for a while now and with the new found glory of Bonfire (I know, I know...it'll be nerfed), I thought that now is that time.
I've played Dark Miasma sets on several Defenders, so I feel comfortable with the powers that carry over to /DA (Tar Patch, Twlight Grasp, Howling Twilight...etc.). I'm less sure about the 2 new DA powers though. Namely, Fade and Soul Abosorb.
Chief among my concerns are:
1) Can either or both of these powers be made "perma". I have a high recharge build in mind and was hoping they could be.
2) Slotting? I was thinking for Fade I'd do Lotg 7.5%/Def, Def/Rch and Def/end/Rch. Then I was going to slot Soul Absorb with 5 sets of Doctored Wounds. Is there a better way to slot these? Pleas elet me know if I've missed something.
3) Any additional advice for Dark Servant slotting is always welcome. I typically just slot it for accurate tohit debuff but I'm never 100% sure that's the best way to do it.
Thanks in advance for any tips/advice/critiques. -
My Fire/Rad/Pyre was decent before this proc but it feels like a whole new animal now. I dare say that it now rivals my Plant/Storm/Cold in terms of sheer power. It's an absolute game changer. Bonfire is perhaps the most indispenable(sp?) power in all of Fire Control now? I don't feel as though I'm prone to gushing about powers willy-nilly but I'm in love with this IO/Bonfire/Fire Control. Just...wow.

Storm/Water Blast... There's going to be a ton of these come July 10th but the combo, both in terms of theme and lethality can NOT be beat.

Epic stuff. Thank you. -
IMHO, the Prequels were rubbish. That is all.

Staff/WP is likely the most well rounded toon you'll find at SO level investment.

My Fire/Ice/Pyre Tanker has had success farming 54x8. Often people are surprised to discover he's a tank. BU + FE > Ice Stomp > Burn > Frost > FB takes care of Minions/Lts and the bosses are left with about 50%. I can clear the Dominion Cave in 45-50 Minutes. I'm excited to add the Assault Hybrid to see if it cuts any time off. Keeping my fingers crossed that Ice Melee comes to brutes at some point.

Have you given any thought to taking/slotting the two PBAoE disorienting powers from both sets. I was thinking about rolling a Dark/Storm for just this reason.
-
I'm rather happy the set is set up as Absorb >> Res >> Regen. Building for defense is oh so easy these days and if you care to, you could pair bio-armor with Katana, TW or Staff. This set looks like it's going to be extermely beefy.

[and Iron man is more of a blaster not a PB.
No way a blaster survives getting caught in a giant Turbo Fan and lives to tell the tale... -

You've got me there. I want to scream at you and tell you that, "No! I didn't pick them based on performace!" but truthfully, looking at that list posted earlier, I'd be hard press to dispute you. -
Theme is paramount for me in relation to Lore picks.
Time/Ice Defender: Cimeroians
VEATS: Arachnos
Capt. America/Ironman Hybrid Clone: Longbow
Ill/Storm Controller: Phantoms

Big oopies on my part...How the hell did I forget to add the build? Without further a-do, I present my last build. Feel free to rip it a new one. I need to get this one right.

Hello Forumites,
As my time here in Paragon draws to its end, I've decided to spend all my influence on the build below. My goal(s) for the build were to first get at least 32% defense to S/L AND eng/N.eng. My next priority as to build for recharge to keep healing flames/soul drain/gloom and Midnight Grasp pumping. Third on my list of needs was to build for +HP/regen. I want to feel the power between my legs before I retire... -
It's not difficult to get those IO's any longer. Maybe back in issue 6 they were, but no longer. You could easily get all of them in under a week with H or V merits, regular merit rolls, AE tickets...etc.
-
TW/WP has more than enough endurance recovery. I was able to slot 4 +end procs in my build, Stamina, Quick Recovery and Physical Perfection all make endurance trivial (save for sapper attacks, but luckly I'm at 45% energy defence).
-
Am I the only one thinking Staff/Nrg???
-
Is it wrong that I still prefer the first MI film above all the others?

Personally, I like the idea of adding a touch of class conflict to the script. I feel as though it'll create an interesting dynamic for the dicotmy of Bruce Wayne (the very ideal of captialism) and Batman (The people's champion). Now, do I want it to devolve into an onscreen debate? Hells no. I do like the tension that could stem from it though.
