It would be if it was made up of only the Granite and other "rock-men." Aren't they vulnerable to Dark and Smashing damage?
[/ QUOTE ]
indeed.
the rock men are a joke for any smashey smash smash -

As I recall, Phase Shift and its ilk were given a 30-second timer for activation chiefly for PvP reasons. Issue 13 added tech that makes it possible for the game to distinguish between PvP and PvE play, and the biggest PvE exploit for Phase Shift, clicking glowies while phased, was fixed long ago. So does Phase Shift still need to have a 30-second use limit while in PvE? Obviously it would keep the limit in PvP.

Yeah, I know I miss the Hamidon Dance Party we used to have on Jusice... I'd kill to get that back -

my favorite myth is ppl thinking a build is makin an alt, and an alt is makin a gamer.

what? -

*Facepalm* Seems it really is gonna take the wrath of the devs to get it through people's heads rather than just threats.
[/ QUOTE ]
do you really expect anything less? -
[ QUOTE ]
Has anyone actually played with another dev and knew? I'm sure they occasionally mention being a dev... well... maybe...
[/ QUOTE ]
As a matter of fact, they can't, and don't mention they're devs on their normal accounts/characters. It would cause a [censored] storm of epic scale. -

Posting on a forum doesn't count as exercise.
[/ QUOTE ]
Unless you do it with wrist weights and a weighted mouse.
Feel the burn! -
Or do what I do, set up a PC in a workout room and play while on the treadmill and keep some small weights next to your desk...
What?!? -
[ QUOTE ]
it will automatically fail anything though
(if its a rescue mission dropping it will fail the mission)
[/ QUOTE ]
as mentioned before your post, and after.
flat out wrong.
a dropped mission is a successfully completed mission. -
I'd like to throw FIre/Dark into the mix.
Sure, you don't have the res debuff form Sonic, but you have more damage in the form of damage over time from the Fire attacks, plus
Tar Patch+Fearsome Stare +Rain of Fire+Fire Ball is amazing to watch. I still don't get tired of seeing enemies melt. Toss in an Aim before Rain of Fire, and there's even more damage flying around. -

Seems to support my definition of tier as far as the game is concerned.
[/ QUOTE ]
[/ QUOTE ]
I'd like to point out that the definition as stated supports both structures, neither more than the other
Hover
Air Superiority
Fly
Group Fly
just as much as your
Hover
Air Superiority
Fly
Group Fly
I don't use the "tier" system when I'm discussing powers for the exact reason stated earlier, people use it differently, just pointing that out. -

Anticipating obligatory quoting of that huge block and adding "tl;dr".
Hah!

I almost did it when you posted it, but nooooo you had to ruin it by posting that you expect it -
empty just means the character that sent the mail has been deleted
-
also, if you're shooting for a broadcast, you wouldn't want a local in the bind. Though you could set it up like I do and do a local and a broadcast int he same bind
/bind numpad1 "b Level $level $archetype LFT, PST!$$local Level $level $archetype LFT, PST!$$petsayname Cadre <em Binoculars>"
would be the bind I'd use for my Mastermind if I were to set one up -
[ QUOTE ]
Okay, if it's so easy... how does one do it?
[/ QUOTE ]
1: set venge/rez on autofire
2: Shift+number target the ally a few times in rapid succession(hold shift, and tap the number that applies to the blown up team mate a few times) -
You can still do it on team mates that have blown themselves up, it's quite easy. See this.
edit: for some reason I said enemies, not team mates.. -

Sio, I don't think it would be necessary to delete the current superleader character. Setting the auto demote for the lowest timeframe, and not playing said superleader toon until it gets demoted should do the trick. Then, play only the toon one wants to be the top dog. That would ensure that it's the only toon eligible for the shiny red star.... theoretically.
[/ QUOTE ]
I could be mistaken on this, but I thought that the super leader position isn't affected by autodemote.
In any case, they found a workaround that didn't involve deleting the character.
[/ QUOTE ]
Super leader is the ONLY rank that's hit by the auto-demote timer now, the former leader rank isn't touched anymore. there's a thread floating around somewhere that's got a quote from one of the red names that gives a breakdown of the Super Leader functions
Edit: Here we go, from the Announcement by Sunstorm
[ QUOTE ]
Greetings Heroes & Villains,
In an effort to bring more power to the people and help to alleviate our Customer Support Team, we have recently developed a new Super Group Rank #6, named Super Leader which will be brought live with Issue 14.
Here is a list of what Super Leader can do:
<ul type="square">[*]Super Leader has all permissions available to leaders.[*]Super Leader can modify permissions of leaders, and can demote or promote any rank.[*]Super Leader can promote another leader to their position, and self demote themselves back to leader rank.[*]Super Leader position can be named to be in line with SG/VG tastes and motif.[*]Super Leader position will always be filled by active user and Rank 5 leaders will no longer be demoted unless the SL designates.[*]Super Leader will be auto-demoted if inactivity period set by permissions is reached.[*]The highest ranking member with the most recent log-out time will be auto-promoted once Super Leader position is vacated.[*]Super Leader can pass leadership to a Rank 5 Leader at any time as long as both players are online. This transfer of leadership occurs in the SG/VG screen.[*]There is a confirmation screen before this transaction occurs to eliminate errors.[*]Customer Service can promote any on-line player to the Super Leader position, if the petition warrants such action[*]Yes, there is only one Super Leader.[/list]

Unless something's changed in the last few days the juggle emotes do work while hovering, but only if you're not moving.
[/ QUOTE ]
Well I can only assume that if they ever worked like this then something has changed. On both the Test and Live servers the juggle emotes currently do NOT work for me while -not- moving with either Fly or Hover on.
Just to be clear I would not have posted that they didn't work without testing it myself first. Even the "invent" emote currently works while Hovering and that one has had a history of "working then not working then working again" after various patches.
Hopefully this'll be sorted soon enough.

tested myself to double confirm, this is correct. -

Doing a Google search for Nexus Argos came up with full bio page with photo.
https://www.virtueverse.com/index.ph...;printable=yes
The character is almost an exact clone of Captain Mar'vell, even the bio. The kicker? at the bottom of the page it reads "Character influenced by Captain Mar-vell from Marvel Comics "
[/ QUOTE ]
INFLUENCED BY, not a direct rip off, doesnt even look anything like captain marvel. and i love how people hide behind the EULA these days for any decision that the GM/Mod/Devs make, they are just happy to give up 15+ dollars a month per account to let these people do what ever they want all in the name of some bullshyte EULA that just gets changed without notice to what ever they want it to say at the time.

You need glasses. -
we're not arguing that more stuff is a bad thing, just more stuff with restrictions placed on it for no reason other than "i want it to"
-
limiting power selections(even if they're new powers added to the game) based on origin is a bad idea. it's that simple. Every single power you could come up with could be explained to come from any origin. Origin shouldn't serve that type of function. They tried it pre-beta, and during beta, and it failed every time.
pre-beta they had a setup where Mutantas could select (example, not actual numbers) 5 powers, but only enhance them to a mid-level, and Tech could select 3 powers, and enhance them fully.
then they tried what Backfire mentioned, it too was rejected.
this game is as restrictive as it should ever be right now(and it's not at all compared to other games). Adding in content that causes more restrictions would be bad.
Edit:
Xyzyx had a great example with the witch broom flypose, I'm all for origin inspired content, as long as it's not restricted to that specific origin. -
[ QUOTE ]
Origin power pools maybe?
[/ QUOTE ]
that would restrict power choices to specific origins.
