Are other players the only legitimate target for Vengeance?

Apparently, I play "City of Shakespeare"
*Arc #95278-Gathering the Four Winds -3 step arc; challenging - 5 Ratings/3 Stars (still working out the kinks)
*Arc #177826-Lights, Camera, Scream! - 3 step arc, camp horror; try out in 1st person POV - 35 Ratings/4 Stars

You can only use it on other players (ON YOUR TEAM.) I keep it on my Controller with auto-attack on it (the green circle.)

*Note: If I am wrong on this, PLEASE correct me before it goes further down the page with posts. I've tried to use it on people not on my team and it hasn't worked for me. Maybe PvP usage on non-teammates is different as compared to out of PvP situations.

Vengeance cannot be used on pets of any kind, if that's what the OP is getting at.
The target must be a defeated player.

Thanks... I was actually wondering if it could br used on NPC allies or Patron pets

It also won't work on allies who use Self-Destruct, since you can't target them

Hmm, can you use it if you had them targeted before they blew up? Or will it drop them out of your target window?

You can still do it on team mates that have blown themselves up, it's quite easy. See this.

edit: for some reason I said enemies, not team mates..

1: set venge/rez on autofire
2: Shift+number target the ally a few times in rapid succession(hold shift, and tap the number that applies to the blown up team mate a few times)

Speaking of the Auto Attack feature. Is there a way to have multiple abilities on auto-attack? On my Brute I like to have Brawl on auto but when I try to auto anything else it replaces the previous one. I've learned to live with only one ability on auto but if there is away to get more I'd be interested to know how to do it.

[/ QUOTE ] You can also use the Self destruct while shapeshifted (like PPD Hardsuit Costume) and you'll leave a body behind that can be targeted for veng and/or rez
