Getting /Poison is nice, but yeah I've really wanted /Traps on my Controllers for a long time.

I suggested a /Dual Pistols Assault set a while back. My idea is that rather than switching to bare hands you'd use pistol whipping and a "Point Blank" attack that would count as melee, to get the ranged/melee mix that is normal for Doms.
Then all that doms (and controllers) would need is a primary that looks natural or tech based to go with a /DP secondary. -

Heck, add Tar Patch (available at level 2) and Dark is sitting pretty dang close to Noxious Gas by level 4 (34 levels earlier than Noxious Gas) with NONE of the limitations that Noxious gas has. Radiation can do similar things by level 10 with Radiation Infection and Enervating Field. -

As you can see NG debuffs across the board and it stacks with Envenom and Weaken. Go look again I'll wait. Now note there is a multiplier depending which tier pet you apply Noxious Gas. The numbers above are based on a tier 2 which has 1.00 multiplier. The tier 1 pets have a 0.75 multiplier. Your tier three bruiser has a 1.25 multiplier. -
That would be a new animation I believe. You can't just swap the katana model and the Greater Ice Sword; one is a weapon model and the other is a power animation. Which is why we got custom katanas a lot sooner than we got colorable Greater Ice Sword.

The old base salvage included Alien Tech, which came from some unspecified, unknown alien species. -
They've added pre-50 Task Forces, and are about to revamp several low level zones and implement a new round of Powerset Proliferation. We've just had a pair of Issues heavy on the new Incarnate content; that doesn't make the game all about raiding at 50 any more than Issues 6 and 7 meant the game was all about villains.

They said that the animation team is fully booked until after Issue 21, so sets were picked for proliferation because they needed no new animations.

As I said in the other thread, they've said that the animation team is booked until after Issue 21, so the sets chosen for proliferation were ones that required no new animations. Which could mean that whatever they are planning to give Doms post-21 will require new animations.

Wild hope: Hellfire (Whip) Assault? Since they tend to mix melee and blasts, Doms are really the best choice for proliferating Whips from Demon Summoning, since I understand the big problem is that it's hard to animate. Take the three attacks, repurpose the Hell on Earth animation as an attack, add a utility power and that's 5 powers. Maybe another whip power (a PBAoE spin perhaps), and the last three maybe being easier to animate blasts (or some oddball power).

On a Blaster I find knockback very desirable. It's a strong form of damage mediation for an AT that doesn't have much, and a blaster isn't knocking the enemy out of their nonexistent Tar Patch or whatever.

Poison for Controllers and Corruptors
This set has been requested for proliferation for a great while and we thought now would be a great time to release it. This set is very much like the Mastermind version, however Noxious Gas (a pet targeted AoE debuff power) was replaced by Venomous Gas. This new power is a PBAoE toggle that significantly weakens enemies in close proximity to the user. -
