Interesting, thanks for the pic! A teamful of these guys ought to be pretty nasty if the debuff stacks. I wonder what else is there to stumble on....

Ah, so the Hellion was offering him some cheap home brewed version of Superadine. With of course the Hellion guarantee of quality! Seem good; after all, we're just talking about exotic superpower inducing biochemicals being mixed in a bathtub by semi-literate Satanists; what could go wrong?

Also, on many channels new people are automatically silenced (mostly as a defense against spammers). In that case, open up the Friends tab and check the list for that channel. Look for someone with a star by their name; that's a channel operator and they can unsilence you. Right click and choose Chat to send them a tell asking to be unsilenced, if they don't get around to it on their own.

I'll add my voices to the chorus; much better than the first try.
Actually it reminds me of the kind of guys who showed up in Doctor Strange comics. Impractically fancy outfits with multiple layers and parts sticking out all over. -
My opinions on the powers mentioned:
Flash Arrow: Skip.
Glue Arrow: Take. Don't use it on confused enemies, but you can't confuse everything.
Poison Arrow: I'd skip it on a Controller, take it on a Mastermind (to help protect your pets a little). -
Of those two I'd definitely go with Grav/Storm. There's a lot more synergy between Grav and Storm than Elec and Storm.

So our attempts to change history by Ouroboros's time travel worked. We saved Atlas Park from a meteor strike! OK, we blew up Galaxy as a result, but these things happen...

I asked pretty much this question two months ago, the result was inconclusive.

Good thing my sig point is classed as a 'light truck'.

Quote:Which is exactly what they did. We had two Issues this year, and two ".5" Issues. We should feel 'lucky' to get 2 issues a year? As a paying customer, I don't feel 'lucky', I feel disappointed - the devs need to improve on releasing new stuff faster.
<snip>
Instead of packing everything into issues that take six months to get out, they should release what the can more quickly to retain player interest, because once players leave, they run the chance of losing them permanently. -
Quote:Circle of Thorns. Big thread here. The Cavern of Transcendence is getting a revamp? Or is there some other CoT getting revamped? Either way, I've not heard about it, can you share or link the info?

Quote:I agree that it's pretty iconic of Iceman, but there are some instances of other supers using it...sorta. Steve Jackson Games, GURPS Supers, had an NPC female super called Icepick who used an ice slide to fly. Maybe she's to obscure to count, but I certainly noticedQuote:How about Frozone in the Incredibles: Pretty much dead on ice sliding in a mass media entity.

Quote:Illusion/Traps: Special effects guy turned superhero/villain; like the Marvel villain Mysterio.I like traps, though it's look is quite different from most controller sets, much more gadget oriented, I can't come up with a ??/Traps controller theme off the top of my head.
Plant/Traps: Mad scientist with gadgets and genetically engineered plant life. DC's Poison Ivy with more hardware.
Earth/Traps: "You cannot defeat Doctor Quake, mwhahahahaha! Give in to my demands, or Paragon will be reduced to rubble by my earthquake machines!!"" -
Quote:For Plant, Plant/Fire is both powerful and a good secondary for a beginner. Throw Seeds and go to town frying the confused enemies. For Elec/, /Psi or Earth among others are good. And yes, the melee attacks are good; Doms actually have a higher damage modifier for melee attacks.I never play blasters, and rarely scrappers, so most the offensive sets are a mystery to me, if I were to pick one of the control types above, which secondaries should I look at, and are the melee attacks worth picking or it is better to stick at a range?
Also, since you are coming from Controllers there's a common mistake to avoid; remember that Doms don't get Containment so immobilizes don't boost your damage and can be put off if you get them at all. -
Well, Mace does have the advantage of doing smashing damage, which is somewhat less resisted and has a fair amount of enemies (many robots) that are weak to it.

Justice is still well populated. This is a game where people spend a lot of time in mission instances. And where people usually gather teams and socialize using the various global chat channels (I'm on the Justice-centric channel Justice for All, for example). Also a lot of people are probably off in the Rikti War Zone (not Crash Zone - another change) doing Incarnate trials.

Quote:I was able to find these details from the Comics Con thread:Flight Pool
Afterburner -- +Max flyspeed, +defense, Only affecting self (Can't attack o ruse ally targeted powers, can still use self powers)
Quote:Afterburners does not grey out powers, it gives you a mag 4 only affecting self and 13.5% defense all . Flight speeds with flight and afterburners active at 50 is 71.34 mph.Quote:Here's what I know: With only Afterburner active, your flight speed is about 21 mph. With Flight and Afterburner active, your flight speed is about 71 mph.
Afterburner is a mag 4 Fly, mag 4 Only Affecting Self, +13.5% defense all, and has a fairly long recharge.
Because it is a mag 4 Only Affecting Self, you still have access to all your defensive toggles while it is active. -
Just a few things chosen at random:
There's now a market for things to be bought and sold at.
Old or missed missions can now be played in Ourosboros.
We have custom weapons as well as the already mentioned custom power colors.
Real Numbers lets you see the actual values of your powers, click on top of your powers tab IIRC.
Items and Inf can now be e-mailed.
Powers have been balanced, rebalanced, buffed and nerfed right and left. Dominators for example had their damage buff removed from Domination, made part of their normal functioning, then had all their powers rebalanced (making them quite a bit better)
The EU and NA forums and server lists are merged.
Ultra Mode: a general graphical upgrade. Also better sounds and every NPC group getting their own emotes.
Various upgrades to the ingame chat system, like custom channel colors, more channels, right clicking on a name to get data about a person or talk to/invite them, etc.
Faster leveling at high levels.
The ability to turn off your experience to avoid outlevelling things.
