  1. Actually looking at binding within the macro/bind would have been my next course of action, so that should help a lot. Thanks.
  2. Yeah, that's what I'd planned as I don't use the combination for anything else. I just can see me getting confused between the forms though.
  3. Dinged 20 last night and finally got Black Dwarf to add some versatility to my build and [thank god] some variety to my playstyle. It's been hard work living in Nova for 14 levels.

Anyhoo, I have lshift+lbutton bound to Shadow Step when in Human Form and I'd like to use the same bind when in Dwarf form if possible so that I don't have the inevitable brain-lag induced moments where I can't TP.

So, will the following bind activate whichever power is valid in the current form?

    /bind lshift+lbutton "powexec_name Shadow Step$$powexec_name Black Dwarf Step"

Not at home at the moment so I can't test it out, would be grateful if someone can confirm. Thanks.

Golden advice, that will always be gospel to the defending community.

I was close to this on Saturday night actually. A good team mix (All ATs) and an Ice Tank who kept spamming HEAL. He also seemed to expect me to chase him around the room, ignoring the rest of the team. A couple of warnings from me (One final) and he quit the team... but not before I checked out his build. He'd only taken Hoarfrost from the Ice primary!
  5. Yep, I 3-slotted Chilling Embrace (EndRed before Stamina) and will change one of those to a Taunt (Maybe even add a second) later in the game.
  6. I took this at 16 on my WS, with a view to Gravity Well at 18 and being able to pull a dangerous mob from a group and neutralising the threat without needing to take a barrage from whatever else is around my target.

Now I tried this last night (Don't have GW yet) as a test. I'm running a Council mish on the WS arcs on Tenacious, because of positioning I've got a group of around 10 yellow mobs, including several Marksmen (What's with the Hastened, almost auto-hit snipes?) and a Quantum Gunner.

So, I thought I'd TP the Quant into melee range and brawl him to death. The TP was a successfull first time hit (I TP'd round a corner) and, before I know it, I have the rest of the mob beating on me! Fortunately I managed to take out the Quant and high-tail it out of there before planting.

So, the question is this. Is this WAI? Does the 'pull' by Starless Step have the same chance of aggroing the entire group that a Blaster pull would?

Just curious, because if it does I'll probably respec out of Starless Step (When I can) and take Super Speed for the stacked Stealth with Shadow Cloak.

    Thanks folks.

    Dm/Rgn

Mark me down as another of those who retired their DM/Regen some time ago. Actually before i4 though, so no ED complaints here.

Anyhoo, I've got a couple of respecs (And about 30 new badges after just signing in!) and I'm going to respec him in. PvE only, obviously.

Any thoughts? Took Revive because I'm couldn't think of much else to take and it would be useful with Resilience - Health+EndMod enhancements in there because I assume it bumps the amount of Health / End you Res with?

    Any thoughts elsewhere?

    Thanks in advance ^_^
  8. She'll be the one that flies off when she reaches around 30% health! Grrr.

Being a complete aggro magnet is fun!

    [/ QUOTE ]
That's subjective. The only Tanker (-2 to the 8 man team) on Frosty last night for me says otherwise.
  10. Yup, I'd have to say all Blaster teams are certainly a lot of fun. Actually played an 8 man team of Blasters/Defenders/Controllers the other day and we were doing far better than we should have done - not a 'plant in sight. ^_^
  11. Fun is subjective. What's fun to me isn't necessarily fun to you, so the best suggestion would be to try each for yourself.

If you like big orange numbers, go BS. If you like lots of orange numbers, go Spines. If you want the best sound effect in the game, go DM.
  12. It's in my faves. ^_^

Struggling to level my Ice/Ice at the moment though, teams seem to be hard to come by on CoH at the moment.
  13. Perhaps worth taking TP as your travel power if that's the case. Get them in C-E before they're able to do anything about it. TP Foe could have the same effect.
  14. If 'key' powers are left out of the build for it, then I would agree it's a waste. If you can get Grant Invisibility into the build I can imagine there are some squishier team members who would be more than happy getting Invis'd without the accompanying penalties.
  15. Now that makes more sense. It also means that most people (Myself included) will fall on the side of those people that questioned your choice of Acrobatics in the first place.
  16. [ QUOTE ]
Also gravity well (preferrably with starless step) is your answer to take out those nasty voids (and later on sappers) without too much trouble.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Oooh, now there's a thought. Next level (16) I'm struggling to think of something to take (Super Speed was favourite, for stacking the Stealth element with Shadow Cloak), but I think I'll take Starless Step instead for just the reason you've stated. Then Gravity Well at 18. ^_^
  17. Not to mention the healing boost. It's the cornerstone of the set. No Scrapper set (Besides DA?) should even need to consider Acrobatics for status protection.
  18. Number45

    Simply the best?

Be warned on Dark though. It is an excellent heal (And the rest of the set seems to be superb too), but it has a horribly long animation time and takes a little getting used to.

    Taunt + Voids

I was in a mission in the Hollows with my Ice tank last night and we had a PB on the team. We approached a fairly large mob that had a Quantum [something-or-other] in it so I immediately approached it, with CE running (Not got Taunt yet), to ensure that it would focus on me rather than the PB but I'm 'sure' that it still attacked the PB (It was hectic in there so it's difficult to tell, but his general state of panic would suggest it did).

Out of curiosity, is Taunt overridden by the Kheldian presence in these situations or should I be able to control them with my aura / Taunt? Just curious, because I could hold aggro on pretty much all else without even bothering to attack (CE is incredible at aggroing mobs, it seems... shame I can't quite survive them yet! ).

Note: Wasn't sure whether to post here or on the Tankers forum, but I figured Khelds would be more sensitive to the subject so would perhaps be more likely to know. Certainly when I level my WS up this'd be useful to know. ^_^
  20. It'll definitely allow you to get around quickly, but you'll be lacking any real vertical movement which will make Faultline, Terra Volta and - particularly - the Shadow Shards a nightmare to navigate!
  21. Number45

    Invulnerability

If you're struggling with accuracy, stick a ToHitBuff or two into Invincibility.
  22. Would defeinitely be useful if you could find this out - similar to the /search or /who commands perhaps. Personally I always politely decline invites unless it's someone I've teamed with a lot, in which case I would know at that point whether it's worth joining them or not.
  23. An equivalent, yeah. I think the Fire 'nova' is called Inferno.
  24. [ QUOTE ]
Being the one that gets most debt isn't bad, it's actually good because that means you fulfilled your role and saved your team. People need to learn to look out for others instead of always being self centered.

    [/ QUOTE ]
If you as the Tank go down it's likely that at least one mob is still around and thus a threat to the team, so I would say on that occasion you - or more specifically your team as a whole - has failed.

I would consider success as everyone getting out alive. Except the enemy, obviously.
  25. [ QUOTE ]
Blizzard got a bit of loving a few issues back and I enjoyed it. However with the ED changes and the fact you can't get your endurance back anymore with insp or being buffed its a very dangerous tactic to use, like all the blaster nukes. Soloing I never fired it in my life so I'm not surprised you didn't like it, it really only is of use in teams.

    [/ QUOTE ]
I7 is apparently going to allow Blizzard to be affected by Aim/BU, so it might become of more use again.
