After I6/ED I used up my respec and ended up with a poor build. I'm hoping that a free respec is forthcoming with I7, or possibly with the first anniversary of CoH in EU, on Feb 4th.

I mainly use Lost Ninja in PvE, I do a lot of exemping and play primarily for fun, I like to be able to play constantly, so hanging around while waiting to regen is a minus point for me. I also hate running from a battle until everyone is dead, but I also hate debt. So running from a fight when soloing is fine when I have zero end or if I'm very low on health and my clicky regens are recharging.

Any glaring errors or points? Pick some holes or I'll get it wrong again and spend a whole issue moaning that my build is gimped.

I'm intenionally taking IH very late, I hardly ever use it but its nice with GM/AVs most of whom I have fought since I hit 50.

Combat Jumping with Hurdle and SS makes a more than adequate travel power, I tested this quite alot in RCS the other night. This coupled with a slow fly (no flight enhancers just endrdx) means I'm manauvrable in battle with okay above ground capabilities, but doesn't mean I'm stuck with the lack of speed that hover has.

Is air superiority worth using as a main attack, if not what other pool power could I take instead?

Main question is would I be better getting stealth than CJ? I know that stealth has been nerfed but by how much?

This can be last build before I get another respec, free or earnt (I have earned all my normal ones) as I have one character on test with a respec remaining.

You seem to be slotting your attacks with endurance reduction instead of recharge reduction, which I find especially odd considering my dm/regen doesn't even have stamina and I rarely run into troubles.

I'm not sure shadow punch is necessary - I have been toying with putting it into my build, but I can keep a good attack chain with Air superiority, Midnight grasp, Smite, Air superiority, Shadow maul, with each attack having a single recharge enhancement - with Touch of Fear as well (which I'll be respeccing into when I hit 42) I wouldn't even have space for Shadow punch, even when Hasten wasn't running.

And that leads me to your question on Air superiority - it's essentially my main attack - I can kill a lot of bosses, Fake Nemesis' for example, without taking a single hit by using the attack cycle mentioned above, because he's quite simply never on his feet. Some bosses are a touch quicker and the animation time of the attacks between using AS are too long, so I'll just use Midnight grasp (on its own) if it's ready or Smite when it's not, although I'll only do this if the boss is particularly nasty - it's not usually an issue taking a hit or two!

Reconstruction I got much earlier and 6 slotted (could probably get away with 2 recharges instead of 3 for 5 slots total), and without decent slotting Siphon Life is worthless (even with slotting it's pretty poor)

I went the same way as you, getting superspeed at 14 and fly later - I actually slotted fly a couple of levels ago, just for larks, and it's actually mightily impressive with three flight enhancers in it! When I respec I'll almost certainly find a way to keep those slots in it.

Dull pain should definitely be 6 slotted, 3xheal, 3x recharge. The heals now increase the HP increase, giving you even higher overall health - which is very nice obviously

I'm not sure why you've got combat jumping when you have fly - personally I'm looking to get aid other so that I can get the healing badges

Elsewise, I also picked up Whirlwind for larks - nice when teaming and things look to be going south - just run around sending everything flying, giving everyone a chance to regroup. It's more of a fun power than anything though.

It is pretty hard to get a good attack chain going with Dark Melee, so adding pool power attacks like Air Superiority is a good move. Hasten is another way to attack this issue. Personally, I dislike Hasten now that it isn't perma, but to each his own.

I think you are being a bit too paranoid about endurance, but end reduction slots in your attacks can easily be replaced with recharge. If you had taken Fighting with Tough and Weave it would be another matter,then you'd need the extra End.

Just to show you an entirely different way to build dark/regen, I'll post my own Whirlwind build (lvl 22 atm, so I just got Whirlwind). In this build, my attack sequence is Shadow Punch - Shadow Maul - Flurry - Shadow Punch, with infinite repeat. There is a short wait for Shadow Maul to recharge unless I give it 3 recharge SOs, but that's ok with me. And Whirlwind lets me occasionally do dramatic things, like solo a +3 boss without taking any real damage. Just know that I run out of End when running Whirldwind, but that's ok since I recover end while fighting all-out without Whirlwind.

One thing about the regen side of things, you would probably get more advantage putting the 2 extra slots in Fast Healing into either Reconstruction or Dull Pain (I'd go for Reconstruction).

Regen's can ghost solo missions with just their travel power fairly easily I feel, the slight stealth from SS should be enough to help you ghost team ones should you wish too. That's just my opinion.

I'd remove the fear duration from ToF and have 3 -tohit, it stacks easily enough as it is. Depends on your fighting style, I tend to ToF anyone who's damage I dont like, kill the others and then come back to them.

I like CJ on my DM/Regen, puts me nicely where I want to be for soul drain more times than running in does. But I had SJ as my travel power so it was part of getting that rather than an extra.

I dont see any glaring holes

IMHO, mind you:

You are getting DP and Reconstruction way too late. Get them early. Reconstruction would be better with two recharge. Take two out of Stamina, you don't need the extra endurance recovery.

You will not come close to having Stamina issues, even with only QR, so use recharge reduction, not endurance.

I'd also recommend taking Siphon Life earlier.

My only criticism is that your taking Siphon Life and Shadow Punch. Now, some people find Siphon Life useful, I don't, but then I have the big DA heal. I think that with all the /Regen heals your not going to need it, and your better served getting a pure damage attack. Shadow Punch just isn't very good.

Oh, and Combat Jumping at 47? Thats far too late IMHO. Might want to think about picking up Laser Beam Eyes for some range, too.

shadow punch 3 slotted for damage does almost the same as air super 3 slotted for damage, just a little less.

its good if you're not using shadowmaul to keep the attack cycle fast and flowing.

I took Air sup over shadow punch and haven't regretted it. The damage mitigation from the knockdown has served me far better than the tiny tohit debuff from shadow punch.

Siphon life is out, I found that een in protracted battles against multiple rikti head thingies (lvl51+) I never used it, Dull pain and reconstruction did me fine.

Dropped hasten and SS, always slghtly unhappy with SS. Hasten I like but seems a waste of a whole pool, . Might mean my attack chain is a little slow, but I have five main attacks, plus ToF, plus Laser beams from my fricken eyes (or something ) So I hope that it'll be okay.

Laser beams, better to slot def debuff or damage?

Dropped Fly, don't need two vertical powers and SJ/CJ should keep me in the air. Took TP for the annoying hard to reach stuff, and the Shards. Took TP Foe because soloing in high level areas (think RCS & Shards Storm Palace) I just don't have the regen to cope with some of the huge spawns there. Plus its fun to drop things off ledges.

Kept Stamin but have taken it later as QR does keep up with the demands mainly but at later levels and in large battles that bit extra Regen is handy. And Dark Consumption will keep me topped up. Very useful in late fight stage to keep the end flowing.

Tried laser beam eyes on my current build, loved it.

Secondary effects are currently so meaninglessly trivial in the majority of sets that its pointless slotting for them. Go for damage.

pre ED i had a build with shadow punch on auto and slotted 5 tohit debuff, that worked quite well in a fast attach cycle, but i did find it only worked on the guy you were hitting so it was a bit useless in big groups - was ok in 2-3 mob groups combined with ToF on one then swapping around the others.

but you're right now, with ED any benefit has been scuppered (and unfortunately it seems that Shadow Maul only makes one impact and debuff rather than multiple).

Used to like SS a lot but am finding the lack of vertical movement irritating. As for Hasten, I tend to get into a group of mobs, hit Soul Drain, then Hasten to dish out some tasty damage.
Tried some of the health/end recovery powers in DM initially but found them redundant with regen as my secondary and have never been particularly fond of fear effects...
Have tough but I'm wondering whether it's really worth it, some S/L resist with it and resilience but not all that happy with it, any suggestions? (Air superiority + Fly? Attack + vertical movement power?)

English is fine, don't worry.

First thought is jump kick, not a fan of this power and I'd recommend Combat Jumping instead - not vital for immobilisation resistance but handier than jump kick.
Flurry isn't all that necessary either. Long animation and needs too many slots to make effective.
I'd suggest replacing these two with boxing and tough.

Personally, I like the extra healing given by slotted Fast Healing and Health too but that's up to you.

With quick recovery, you probably don't need stamina stamina 3-slotted and only two damage in air superiority might be better.

Not really a PvPer but I'd suggest getting touch of fear earlier.

Mark me down as another of those who retired their DM/Regen some time ago. Actually before i4 though, so no ED complaints here.

Any thoughts? Took Revive because I'm couldn't think of much else to take and it would be useful with Resilience - Health+EndMod enhancements in there because I assume it bumps the amount of Health / End you Res with?

Any thoughts elsewhere?

Revive and confront are wasted power's imho.

Consider CJ for the extra defence/mobility.

Also consider the laser eye power for that added range potential, catch runners and the like.

Also why take fly when your just going to slot it for speed anyways?

Better to dip into the SJ pool, for then atleast your getting CJ and a travel power with some speed. You can always take AS still.

Why take hurdle when you have fly, take swift. Definetly take swift if you take CJ/SJ.

Even if you read all this and then spit it out, please give thought to those 2 end powers. Revive and Confront.

The /regen side looks good except I'd recommend putting a DamRes into MoG so you can hit the resistance cap.

Focussed Accuracy needs to have 3 EndRdx in it, otherwise you will find it will use a ton of end. Use some of the slots you put in Revive in it.
