  1. I am not sure that the blue auras are always visible. Some could be lost in map and some being a sphere maybe just above where someone is hovering only a little way above you. Then maybe an effect of lag? I don't know I am just not convinced and can Battle Maiden create them herself?
  2. Only one person to taunt BM, that way she isnt exploding arrow all over the place. A brute, off tank or scrapper to gather free aggro that way someones taking care of the strays pot shotting at rangers who are then safer to concentrate on BM with debuffs, or not have their little fights as well as avoid blue patches, and constantly go round and round moving from patch drop areas in one direction. Then its easy.

    Point was to posts further up and inline with somewhere towards what OP is getting at but saying with chaos rooted animations do become a problem.

    Yeah I mean't Mo'ing as in the normal way I always mean Mo'ing it, no defeats. I am not a badger so couldn't give a toot. I aint ever even looked at the badge for it.
  5. I can't agree that people take time to die and its easy to move away at any point, everybodies healthpoints goes down at different speeds for usually more than one reason. The usually more than one reason is due to free aggro, blue patches and an AV who could be being fought in melee by Brutes without aggro glue taunt. With chaos being rooted for a lil while is a bad thing.

    I am not yet sure if any team mix is fully capable of Mo'ing it like I might be with STF etc.
  6. Hurl gets no competition from LBE imo. -Fly, great damage, good gauntlet area. LBE does -def, SS, don't need that imo, if I wasn't SS then I still wouldn't take it especially as no concept of mine requires eye beams.

  8. I love everything a stormie can bring. How the player plays it is another matter. Definitely under-rated.
  9. Looking at everyones builds this morning it seemed common for people to 6 slot CD with red fortunes and 1 slot weave with an LotG. Wouldn't it be better for the overall builds to do things the other way around?

    Am I the only one with love for sleeping grenade?

    I differ in that I value concepts and fresh team dynamics. I prefer to not get bored with gank and spanks, generally doing things the one way everytime with the same "fotm, ftw, no brainer" powersets and would rather look at every different type of corrupter and help them to help me by playing around them, corerectly to them which may well be differently to other sets. To team with, I don't have a preference between a TA or a Traps. I would have a preference of players behind them.

    If the Devs were to datamine and find out everybody had fly then the power would either need a buff to be attractive somehow or changed completely seeing as no one takes it.   13. For the OP, you could post in different sections ie the Brute section as well but one thing is for sure is that if I were you I'd try to take the advice and post the result of that advice. The build does need work, every slot should give as much bang for buck as you can get, 5 slots in combat jump just aint doing that.

    Wherever you decide to post and it helps to do that here too is tell people your intent with the build.
  14. Khelds and Veats bridge gaps between ATs and then just as I would with them, would say any mix of powersets that can duct tape a team dynamic despite missing so called "needed ATs or powers". TF started bye!

    Brute vs Tank

    Lets compare my Dark/Dark tank to my Dark/Dark Brute. If tanking under -rechg conditions especially the tank wins hands down.

    Grp fly may seem like a new good power to some people despite all the alts they have but to some people with certain alts (clearly not every) its a good additionally level of flexibility that takes up one slot. Out of some 70 alts I would say 5 of mine might have it or are getting it.
  18. I think the taunt sounds are annoying. It would be nice to customize the sounds to them with different voices and actual comments.

Last time I tanked for a team with a stalker I'd of had to say I'd of preferred a Scrapper for when I was already aggro capped the stalker brought back more showing off only to pass the aggro on everyone but me. Now nobody got defeated but it was close. As some died I aimed to save. People could say that the stalker sped things up but no they were getting extra in a direction we were going anyway. In that instance due to the player behind it I'd of preferred some scrapper with a taunt aura or any aura. I do put things onto players.

  21. I think where things might be balanced or not is better judged over what two different defenders can do over a few spawns. Some might performed better at different positions of safety, on different numbers of targets. Different powersets specialize in different ways and it's a matter of what specialization weighs well in comparison to another I suppose. Teaming with my all defender team as a TA doesn't make mine feel weak at all, I scout just ahead, flash arrow, maybe open with EMP, or poison gas and use oil slick + res debuffs and pretty much watch minion munching.

    It says effect does not stack from same caster. I tried it long ago in the past and it didn't appear to.

    Edit: testing it this morning I got it to stack. Castle told me that that site was probably correct due to its source but I don't know if its been changed since that time.

    If the entire team could fly through every mission and take pot shots and grounded npcs then the risk vs reward changes. Sure you can probably -def excessively and increase to hit but I think it awkward. I think there are some powers that you have to be grounded to use tie in perhaps with what the Devs don't or didn't want you to be able to do too.

    If Lord Recluse were immune to -range there is still more than another way to neutralize him. As what other ways were mentioned if you were to have 4 range slots and 2 taunt slots, you could do it from 114ft in the air. Lord Recluses max range is 110ft. Careful though the Banes he spawns have a -fly power of greater range the further away you are the less threat you deliver.

    Where -range is helpful is in that the closer you are the more threat you have. So if the team were wailing on Lord Recluse it becomes harder for someone else threat level to be higher than yours and so you keep aggro. Stormies won't necessarily keep aggro whilst a team is wailing on Recluse.

    For the sake of higher threat level the closer you are the better. Threat is modified by range.

    OK then of said it, the questions you were asking me looked like questions without you needing to of been trying to say stuff that concerns other ATs. I'd of talked about other ATs in their respective sections, more than one AT in its archetype and powerset section. My reply to Smersh was not to you, the thread wasn't about you and your points. You asked me questions I gave fair answers and you proceeded to try and associate them with your points which actually make no difference to the fact that, LR can be neutralized differently. No one should be begging for a stormie to join a team when Tankers have it all in the box to not care what their teaming with.
