  1. I'm still a little foggy on the process.

If I have Spiritual Radial, I can create the Partial and Total revamps but choose to equip either, correct? When I create the top tier, it will consume both of them?
  2. 2:30 STF last night (fairly time-consuming by my standards).

    Team:

    1 Mind/Cold Controller
    2 Peacebringers (both triform)
    1 Blaster (Fire)
    1 Rad/Dark Defender
    1 Illusion/FF Controller
    1 /Inv Brute
    1 Elec/Kin Controller

TF went swimmingly until the last mission.
Tried to pull one of them, two came out. Whittled down Mako to a few slivers of health and the others came. Used Mass Hypnosis to sleep them but GW broke Sleep and bad things happened. Eventually they reset, I used sleep to pacify them and Ghost Widow was taken down, then Scirocco, then Mako then Black Scorpion.

We had issues with the Towers, in that the Brute didn't have Taunt but aggrod LR fairly well but lost aggro, causing a wipe on Red Tower. We loaded up on Insps, took down Red Tower, re-inspd, took down Yellow, then Blue then Green. This part took about 35 minutes or so in between a wipe or two, inspirations, creative pulling of LR and toggles....we had the flying Rad/Dark hover above Lord Recluse, causing him to run around in circles; at that point the Brute tagged LR and we were fine.

So...not a speed run by ANY means, but a PuG group got it done with some concerted effort and teamwork and direction. Granted, I'd much have preferred a hour or less run, but can't complain about the Enzyme and even less the teamwork.

Oh, no one panicked when Cysts showed up, we just obliterated them.

    50 minute LRSF run.

1 Crab Spider with Pets (MasterCrab build)
    1 SS/Inv Brute
    1 Dual Pistols/Dark Corr
    1 Fire/Rad Corr
    1 Mind/Electric Dominator (Perma)
    1 Sonic/Cold Corr
Two others, think a Scrapper and a Thugs/Dark MM.

    Steamroll mission one.
    Steamroll mission two.
    Steamroll missions three and four.
Dom sleeps the group, we pull the AVs one at a time. At one point we had two come and dealt with them fairly efficiently.

Great group but in this case, we had three familiar players (the Brute, Corr and my Crab Spider team constantly), wheras in the first group we were mostly a PuG with three SG members.

    Looking forward to Barracuda/Kahn!
  3. These TFs are funny.

I've been on some PuG STFs in the past week that have been brutal, LRSF runs have been much better an easier. I've found that STF is generally much more taxing because the first few missions are fairly easy. GW tends to break up teams fairly quickly. On the last PUG we tried pulling, several came and we retreated until we go Mako to the boat; at that point we had Mako down to 1/3rd and Scirocco and GW showed up and people dropped team.

On the other hand, the LRSFs have been just steamrolled; our teams have had several VEATs, Corrs, Scrappers and Brutes and stuff has just MELTED. We have had a few aborted LRSFs from wipes, but generally it's been swimmingly fun.
  4. He's irrelevant; paste him and collect your thousands of inf then pile on the Phalanx. Spawns sometimes carry these 'annoyance' factors but in this case...maybe he's a herald of some kind waiting to report the results.

  6. Finished LRSF on a 48 VEAT

    25 Bonus Merits
    2,225,000 XP (7 bars)
    Synthetic Nucleolus Exposure
    Archvillain
    Servant of Recluse

  7. It's an RP-based timesink, just like the one in Lady Grey and ITF.
Would love to have the option to turn it off, but apparently the game is performing mob set-ups or other actions while the cutscene unfolds, so it may not be possible, or even desirable, for the Devs to change this.
  8. Also consider myself an introvert, agree that teaming is fine for endgame.

Hope to see some more story arcs tagged with the Incarnate label that can be soloed...in that I can log in and do them for a while, come back to them and finish them later.

I don't expect (nor should I) to solo Apex TF, for example. Mender Ramiel is another story. The invention system and Market have kept me subbed longer than I would have expected them to...so is the Incarnate system. Good job Positron on getting them right.
  9. Neuronium is my "villain" counterpart, a Fortunata.
Spidery Regrets is my current Crab Spider.
  10. Neuronia

    L53 Hamis

They're worth a lot. I saw some selling for 1 billion on a trade channel recently.

Mostly see them used in PvP builds (level 53 Micros or Nucs...) or crazy high end builds. Makes me wish I had kept all of mine around back in the day instead of slotting 52s over my ++ Hamis, sigh.
  11. Canine,

Are you doing 1 Convert per day/1 AM per two days?
I see you're on the Euro servers, are you able to TF it up or solo enough Merits per day to make this efficient?

It's not a bad route I guess if you have the patience for it, I just like having piles of inf to jump into when I get "home" to my base.
  12. First after Mathzilla.

Arcana is right; simply buying "moderately" expensive stuff (selling for 175,000,000) with AMerits and working toward your purples and other desired items is a great way to do things. Heck, I've been doing this for the past few months and have way more Inf now than I'll ever need, considering my "MasterCrab" build already has the five LOTG 7.5s squirreled away and the rest of the build needs pretty affordable stuff, like Enfeebled Operations and Touch of Death and Ribosome Exposures.

Saving up 35 AMerits? *Boggle*. Can't see myself ever doing that, seems too inefficient.

What's that if it's not greed, because dolls, as far as I know, are not needed for any real purpose but to make you feel good?
Just to address this on a tangent; my late father collected Royal Doulton figurines. He was crazy about them. I inherited the lot of them, and being of a somewhat appreciative sort kept them and have added to the collection through astute purchases. I now have several (think two large wooden bookcases with 4 shelves each) of them on display. Some of them are quite rare and could fetch a nice penny, and collectors have asked about them and been rebuffed.

Why? Well, they look pretty for one thing.

Of course, the knowledge I'm making someone bitter and jealous because of porcelain dollies is worth a lot more to me than the few thousand dollars I'd make form a re-sale.

You just can't put a price on some things "irl", unlike in this game.

My Blaster just hit 35 and I don't play him much these days.
I'll roll off an A-Merit, craft and sell everything I get.
I'll also hit my storage bases and list 30-35 stuff in a few hours.

While Demobot is accurate that stuff is slower to move (at times) in the 30-35 band, it DOES move eventually. It's more a question of waiting 2-4 days for some items to sell as opposed to the insta-sale of level 50 items.

Really wish there was a Market interface that said:

"@Player has three bids on Level 34 Decimation Acc/Dam"

Of course, that would take a lot of the blind guesswork away and may move sales OFF market when people read the bids, so this isn't a perfect idea by any means.

Loud applause is called for here and please forward this to the journal of irreproducible results post haste.

P.S. If the glove don't fit you must acquit.

    Here's some stuff I did:

Prior to 2XP, I listed a bunch of LOTG 7.5 at 158,675,309. I also listed Unbreakable Constraint triples Ragnarok Triples at 148,675,309. The LOTGs sold at around 180,000,000 and 200,000,000 and the triples sold at 250,000,000 and 400,000,000ish.

I also paid several million for common salvage, because why the hell not, I have tons of play money.

Clearly I failed at manipulating the market as people paid more than my listed price and I paid far more than I should have for common salvage and recipes.

  16. We got PF and DS?

    Sweet stuff! Welcome!
  17. Probably not close to Crazy or Ebil but just did this:

    You bid 48,205,249 on Silver.
    You have purchased Silver.
You got 948,205,249 infamy from the Black Market.
You spent 0 on the Black Market.

Having an empty bid ending in 48,205,249 on the Black Market annoyed me immensely. Enjoy the windfall whoever sold me that Silver. Now my bids are 900,000,000, 300,000,000 and my own inf cap of 2,000,000,000. Still verging on Social Security/Welfare, but about to enter "Can afford Starbucks" once I hit a round 4,000,000,000. =)

Once I hit 5,000,000,000 I'll likely throw a bil into my storage SG's pretige bin (Cirque du Storage on Infinity redside).

    Shine on, you Crazy 88's!
  18. 2 Miracle + Recovery, 1 Celerity Stealth, 1 Devastation Dam/Rech, 1 Positron Triple, all level 32 the other day.

    Happy day for me.

  20. Mark it Zero

Homage toon to Walter Sobchak of The Big Lebowski.
Dual Pistols-Traps Corruptor, badly wanting for a shoulder dog (the Pomeranian) to make the look complete.

    Bounce Around

    Energy/Energy Blaster.
Probably won't benefit much from Purples since the object is to make a knockback-proficient assault bot. Probably could use the extra recharge though.

    Vic Payback

Homage toon to (you guessed it) Vic Tayback of Alice fame.
Thugs/Poison (to represent the cooking) Mastermind, don't play him much so this would likely be a waster).

    Spiderly Regrets

    Crab Spider Arachnos Soldier.
Level 6 at the moment, but likely to be a keeper down the road, going to the "pet" route.

    Lavish Glory

    Stone Melee/Enegy Aura Brute
Lots of fun, use it to farm Nemesis at the moment (yes, I am crazy...) and nice background to her as well.

    Crystal Clear Kara

    Sonic/Sonic Corruptor
Pretty straightforward, this is my Marketeer/bank toon, so it would easier to accomplish as she holds all the (credit) cards...

    Thoughts?

Won't be getting this for another year at least.

Please make this available ingame somehow, by achieving a certain amount of Market badges or inf accumulated through Market sales (Inf cap?) or whatnot.

Waaaay too good for a vet reward.

See, this is why I keep begging the developers for a combination Assault/Defence set. I want something that plays like a Peacebringer or an Arachnos Soldier without being tied to Arachnos or Kheldians.

    ---

So far, the things I hear are making me lean more towards Masterminds, simply because I can get personal "toughness," visible technology and a character I actually don't feel afraid to long in.
    Banes are pretty awesome.

A friend of mine has one that puts out a large number of pets (Spiderlings and the large Spider), has Venom Grenade for debuffs and also has a bunch of rifle attacks. On top of that, he has the innate leadership toggles AND leadership pool as well. It's quite the sight and very fun.

If you have trouble being tied directly to Arachnos...well, you can make yourself out to be a spy or an infiltrator or a traitor or just biding your time to leave Arachnos...
  23. OP:

Perfect example of why "Just play" does not work is the Cathedral of Pain trial. Yes, yes, you can blitz it in 10 minutes. But you get NO REWARDS. No Inf, no Salvage, no Purples...you get badges and the temp power.

I did it enough times to get badges, never bothered again.

Hmmm when I first started ages ago, even though I had the foggiest concepts of efficiency, I did want "That next power." Once I got to 50...not much else to do then (Issue 4) so rolled a new alt.

I *like* Purples and Shards. I have lucked out and received 8 purples since Friday on "Shard Runs". The majority of them were sold and now I have several billion inf doing nothing but...it IS MY pile of Inf, and I can log in and see 2,000,000,000 on my bank toon and more X,000,000,000 on my bids. I get much satisfaction from this. Without Purples, I'm not getting multiple billions easily. Or at least not as quickly.

Lastly, there really is no harm in YOU doing stuff at a relaxed pace.
As a matter of fact, the "Shard Runs" usually slow down the pace of gameplay, turning stuff into a virtual defeat all.

Rewards are awesome. Epic loot is more awesome. EvilGeko was right about epic loot and still is.

I play the game and accept whatever rewards happen to come my way, but I don't do things I find unenjoyable in order to maximize them.

I suppose that's where the disconnect is occurring for me. I don't understand why people would do something in the game they find unfun simply because it gives better rewards. Especially since you get rewards for just playing the game in the first place.
You don't *need* to do any of it though. My level 33 Energyx2 Blaster is loads of fun with just SOs.
If your fun is logging in, making an alt and fiddling around defeating Hellions, that is 100% fine.

    Me, my fun is:

    You received 5,981 Influence.
    You received 2,341 Influence.
You received Armageddon: Chance for Fire Damage (Superior).50 (Recipe)

And then, putting it all in bins in my storage base and taking a big dive into the loot pile.

Of course, I also spend hours on costumes, pvp, using the game as a chat client and making cheesy alts.

But that's me, and I'm weird that way.

Well, I only consider a character functional if it has 5 LOTG 7.5, a Miracle and Numina proc and at least one purple set slotted. One billion comes close to covering that.

As we speak, just got a Arma proc dropped from ITF. 7 purples in three days, changing my name to Goody_Ryu!
