Quote:no, if you read the half a dozen or so posts following the OP then that should answer your questionDamage is key? But my two characters that have done the best are my ice/ice tanker and ice/ice defender. Something about ice? Or did they just get a lot of participation credit with their various powers?
how the trial rewards work is theres 2 tables, a thread table and a random component table, there is a minimum threshold to get from the thread table to a component table, but once you pass that threshold your component table will be random
the thread table is to mostly stop doorsitters, but once you pass the threshold its completely random which rarity component you get
i hope that clears this up for you some -
sounds like a plan, will be looking forward to making mids build for dark dom soon after i22 releases lol
-
i just realized after looking through all the pictures you guys took that i was only in 1 of them lol

you can run a patron arc as a rogue, you cannot run a patron arc as a vigilante
if you are a hero then you HAVE to go all the way to villain in order to get the patron arc, just going to vigilante wont do it
if you are already a villain then you can still go to rogue and do a patron arc so long as you dont go all the way hero before unlocking the patron powers -
Quote:/this, i also like combat jumping cause it requires only the 1 power pick, and because it has an extremely low (essentially negligible) end costAgreed with the above. Thing is, Combat Jumping will hold a pile of great enhancements. Kismet Accuracy, LotG +Rech (which also functions as a Def IO), Winters Gift Slow Res, Zephyr -KB, Unbounded +Stealth, Karma -KB, and because the return on slotting for defence is less than for Weave it makes an excellent place to slot this kind of stuff.
So yeah, slot Weave for defence. At base it`s about double the bonus of Combat Jumping.
AND aside from doing all of that you mentioned it provides immob protection too -
this sounds interesting, i have tried but theres too many pylons for me to solo before they start respawning (avg fight time for me is ~4 min, respawn time is 30 min, 4 min times 17 pylons is a little over an hour so i doubt i will be able to solo that)
-
i agree, but this is mostly with ATOs, you cant look at the detailed info of the ATO until you claim it which got kind of annoying
it would be a nice QoL feature though like we can still see detailed info on normal email attachments -
Quote:mostly same here, except i rarely take the fighting pool, i think ive only taken fighting pool on 1 toon, ever....and I must add: all three OF COURSE have to carry a LOTG +rech.
the main reason i dont take the fighting pool is cause i hate wasting a power pick on boxing or kick -
the panacea heal proc is kinda meh, except when its used in powers such as triage beacon or spirit tree (or as rod says any other aoe heal)
when used in spirit tree or triage beacon it turns them into +regen with heal ticks every so often, great for breaking sleeps and greatly improves their overall heal effects by adding actual direct healing over the +regen -
Quote:AVs regen at around 164-210 hp/sec depending on their lvl (164 is about the lvl 50 and 210 i think is the 54)Aww thats a pity, would be interesting to hear from someone who tried
anyone got som numbers om how much +4 av regens? All i can find on wiki is 2000% :s
I just did a rikti pylon to actually see how long it would take... 22mins which should be 157 dps or so, thats without incarnate stuff and insps...
Any numbers anyone?
with longbow lore pets you *shouldnt* have a problem with the AVs since they can debuff regen really well although the rommy fight at the end will prolly be very difficult -
its been supposedly fixed twice in the last few months but i dont think it did get fixed
personally i slot it anyway because its A) a cheap purple to help finish the set and B) when it does start working again ill get its benfit of an unresistable -tohit debuff -
Quote:/thisDamage dealt is not a factor in the participation metrics; we have an official statement of that.
I've gotten a Very Rare before while standing around watching people fight Anti-Matter, so if anything should convince you that damage isn't a factor, let it be that.
however i do hate the trial reward mechanics, getting anything less than a rare feels insulting and a waste of my time to have run the trial -
you are correct, bruising is only applied with the tier 1 attacks in tanker sets, not using the tier 1 will mean you wont ever get the benefit of bruising
-
the FX are slightly different, the general attack animations are the same
shadow meld-the graphics of it essentially turn you into what i think looks like the dark servant pet for about 15 sec (if your a stalker this power also removes hidden status which sucks)
dark blast for stalkers and scrappers ive also heard to be quite good due to the fast rech and fairly good dmg, gloom is the best power in soul mastery for tank and brute (dont know if scrappers can get too)
the soul storm power in soul mastery uses the same animation as GWs unique attack but its disappointing since its only a mag 3 hold (which makes sense balance wise but still disappointing) -
ive only gotten 27 super packs, i got all the costume pieces within the first 15, no wolf pet but i really dont care about it because its a retarded vanity pet and the enhancement catalysts are too rare from the packs to be worth going after, i also can get ATOs in game so another thing i dont need to worry about especially since in game i can get exact one i need instead of a bunch that i dont have any use for
-
on my ill/cold troller the avg time to kill an AV is about 3 min or less while solo
-
i also agree that raising the level cap is a bad idea, theres no reason to raise the level cap and that is what incarnate content is for in terms of end game
they already have GMs that require full teams to kill (IE seed of hamidon in first ward) -
i believe the last i remember reading, is that we will get at least 2 more incarnate slots by the end of this year supposedly
-
ive tried to like devices but its just so hard to play, personally i think traps makes a better devices-like set and could easily be ported a devices set with less debuff and more dmg output
for example poison trap, could be changed to poison bomb, have essentially the same functionality that the traps one has except instead of being extreme debuff with the chance to hold, it would do very high toxic DoT with the chance to hold. the exact numbers would have to be tweaked but it would be more feasible than time bomb is for most situations
i really agree with the point made above that time bomb isnt 100% useless but its few potential uses are easily overshadowed by trip mine -
all i know of it is that i can stack up to 3 times and each application is +5% resist for max of +15% (this is all for the non superior proc)
i am not totally sure how long the buff lasts but 15% resist is nothing to laugh at really -
ah well that would be fine then, i dont like 3D movies much cause i never feel the 3D works and it gives me a headache after long exposure
-
idk if i will be able to do anything in may, since thats when my graduation (may 19th is graduation date to be specific)
i also agree that the arundel mills parking was awful that day, but it was a great place to meet for all the stuff thats available to do
personally im not much into going to seeing movies at theaters cause of all the "must be in 3D" retardedness as well as how expensive it is -
this was the first meet and greet i have been able to attend and it was very enjoyable, one of the most fun social experiences i have had in awhile mostly because i had other people to talk to about stuff im familiar with lol
-
this kind of stuff has always been a little odd
they do transfers beginning of month, points on sub date, and reward token at end of month
personally i think they should just do everything at either beginning of month or everything on sub date -
ive played all mm sets so far ive found few combinations that ive liked
mercs- ill give this a 1-1.5, the set has potential but is severely limited in a lot of areas
demons-this is definite 4-5, demons have a huge variety of dmg, debuff, and buff, it works very well with almost any secondary
ninjas-ill give ninjas a 3, i personally like the ninjas (and ive used them since i started playing on my main), however i think their unique power the smoke bomb is quite worthless and nothing but a massive end hog
bots-definitely 4-5, they have good buffs and heals as well as some regen debuffs and they are almost completely ranged and actually have semi-working AI
thugs-ill give thugs a 3, they are ok, but they suffer a lot of weakness mostly in the fact they die extremely easy (damn arsonist)
zombie-ill give them a 2-3, they seem heavy on debuffs but they also prefer melee range which means they also die a lot more, they are also pitifully slow compared to other pets
beast-i havent really played it much on beta but from what ive seen i would give it a 2-3, it looks kind of meh right now and almost 0 ranged dmg
