Searched the forum and didnt seem to show any threads about it... Is that because its just old news?

So is it possibl without pets :P i didnt want to try it if the dmg wont be enough?

Took me forever to get at pylon to 75% and i bet it has less regen and dmg resist than a +4 av

Without pets?

I'd have to say "Hell No".

He could probably clear the ITF...slowly. But the AV fights would probably be fruitless.

Clicking on the linked image above will take you off the City of Heroes site. However, the guides will be linked back here.

A couple of things:

First, I thought someone had done an ITF solo a while back (over a year or so ago and I don't think it was at 8+4), iirc, they used a SD/DM ...

Second, there was also a couple of threads a while back on pylons, I think Sylph Knight had one "recently", but there was another further back, and I think SD/DM or SD/Fire were the choices discussed if not used.

AVs regen at around 164-210 hp/sec depending on their lvl (164 is about the lvl 50 and 210 i think is the 54)

with longbow lore pets you *shouldnt* have a problem with the AVs since they can debuff regen really well although the rommy fight at the end will prolly be very difficult

Linea Alba did a 4x8 solo on a crab, so I'm sure a high-damage tanker build could do it as well with Incarnate powers.

Top-end brute builds solo stuff like this with ease, for example:

Indeed, Pylons can be beaten by a strong build without multi-threaded damage input (IE: Pets, DoT Toggles - anything doing damage outside of your personal attack chain), but thus far I have not seen a GM successfully defeated by a Tanker without some kind of multi-threaded damage input.

The AVs in the ITF are not so much a problem as the final boss fight itself, where one of the Nictus AVs is a dedicated healer. Even with -Regen, you are looking at a serious survivability threshold to overcome. I doubt that it's impossible for a Tanker to solo the entire thing with every available tool put on the table, but at +4/x8 - it's just not very feasible even with temporary powers. When more Incarnate abilities come out, we may get a tool that helps in this regard, but for the time being there are few options.

I might just have to take a whack at this challenge myself, but I won't deny that temporary powers, inspirations, and the whole nine yards would be involved with that last fight.

Raid Leader of Task Force Vendetta "Steel 70", who defeated the first nine Drop Ships in the Second Rikti War.
70 Heroes, 9 Drop Ships, 7 Minutes. The Aliens never knew what hit them.
Now soloing: GM-Class enemy Adamaster, with a Tanker!

Yeah but if you read the thread, that ITF was not done +4x8. And when he tried it...wasn't pretty.

...ohhhh, I see what I did. Sorry for the confusion.

I never said that the thread posted was about the crab. That one was about brute builds, because they're probably closer to a tanker's runs. And a solo master run is impressive in lots of ways. Hell, I think Iggy did a solo MoITF with no temps and no inspirations, YEARS ago.

Here is the thread where the crab solo'ed the itf at 4x8:

Looks pretty attractive to me! No, not a master run, but that's what Tanks are for.

Pretty sure you'd have to use pets to pop Rommy.... Depending on your build, might have to kill the healer or the dps'r first, too.

But it's very doable, I'd say.
