  1. Rolled a Dark/Dark stalker before i22 and i havnt played anything else since, its my first toon to get pass alpha slot and is now +3

    Really like it but im sure theres some improvement to be made, survival, im extremely happy as i can run +4 every foe ive met, x8 even but the lack of aoe makes it take ages to take down the packs. So im usally running +4/x4 but i would like to see if i could squeze some more damage in the build somehow without loosing my survival, i got the funds for purple sets but they seem to make me less survival but please take a look at my build and tell if i could improve somewhere and i dont have recharge to run a nice chain, perma hasten seems out of reach for me while keeping survival

  2. Was just about to ask for any critiques on my build and i saw this post and i thought i would tell my experience with resist based stalker

    I rolled a Dark/Dark Stalker just before stalker changes... and i havnt played anything else since... its my first toon to get +3 and i love it...

    Before IOs i felt a bit squishy at times but now im running +4/x4 np at all i can run +4/x8 aswell no matter what type of foe i meet, havnt tried Malta tho...


    GMs cant kill me, tested every gm i could find iTrial is no problem.

    close to 70% s/l resist and other resists is darn great as well imo if you look at the build
    about 36% def s/l/n/e
    with my barrier and cloak of fear im *def capped* for normal content. And even tho claok of fear dont really have any effect on AVs and GMs they cant kill me

    End havnt been a problem either as Dark armor when i got alpha, as dark stalker lacks the end consume

    I might be blind cus i love this toon so much and have adapted my playstyle to it...

    As said its the only toon i can play atm

  6. Im really amazed about that build you came up with, alot better than my messed up build
    alot of the later powers i took was just because i really didnt know what to get, so i apriciated your tips.
    I dunno why but i thought Web Envelope was single target :S Really glad you looked into it and was willing to start all over with my ruined build hehe

    Only thing i changed was removing a recharge IO from overcharge for the cost of 5sec and put it into hasten for perma

    I do have a Glad 3% def if that does any game breaking in the build?
  7. Finally found a corruptor i could enjoy and he recently got to 30 and i thought i could start getting some IOs.

    I went for recharge as first prio for perma hasten/AM
    Second i went for S/L def
    Third E/N def

    Atm the build is:
    186.3% recharge
    35% S/L def
    30.3% Energy def
    17.2% Negative def

    I tried to get ranged def to soft cap instead of S/L but that seemed like i had to sacrifice alot for that, and i would have to change my play style, i always play close combat.

    Also seemed like a good idea to go S/L/E/N def to heal the melees and not getting clubbed to death when huggin the foes

    Please help me improve it anyways, i might have messed it all up

I am using Fiery Embrace and BU when ever their off cooldown sorry i caused confusion about that just didnt write them in the chain since thats always useded like rage, i didnt write rage in my SS chain either but i didnt use burn for anything else than when im against more than one foe, maybe thats more dps
    And yea i dont have a locked chain since i adapt to the recharge when hasten is on and off and it change a bit.

    I dont have interface on any of them nor did i use alpha or pets
  9. I dont run a specific chain..
    but my SD/SS is just jabbin between the cds of Haymaker and KB
    Fire is scorch between the cooldowns of my Incinerate and GFS

I vote for you to try SD/SS Ive never had any trouble lvling, felt extremely tanky in tf's and teams, very rare any trouble even without Aid Self which i got later lvls in 50 with only alpha T3 im running +4/x8 worrieless Tanking in incarnate is very easy with the defence numbers you get as Shielder.

    Only downside in SD/SS is until you get some recharge and hasten, your ragecrash takes away your defence 50% of the time when you crash. But in lv50 im capped defence resistance most of the time and only get the -25% defence... once a day tops
  11. Yea Black_Assasin that im aware of... but i made this thread because mine doesnt and im trying to solve that hearing and learning from the lovely tanker community what im doing wrong

    It might be a bad test but my SD/SS can take down a pylon, my fire/fire cant get pass the Pylons hp regen thats the only way ive tested the dps
  12. Thanks LSK i can see theres some improvement in that you mentioned and tweeked a bit more recharge for damage and more heals

    Yea fire i supposed to be less resisted but the insane +damage from Against All Odds and double rage on my SD/SS just outshines my Fire/Fire tankers damage even when fighting high smashing resistance enemies on my SD/SS. I havnt worked alot on my Fire tankers build tho, but im finding it hard to see how i would do same damage even with alot of changes as of now and even if i get the same damage im much less survival than my SD/SS, but that might be my playstile isnt adapted to my fire tanker after playing so much on my SD/SS.

    Im really trying to make my Fire/Fire tanker my main and shelve my Shield tanker Just need some hardcore tweeking in my build and playstile i guess

    The problem about my fire tank is theres not much burning going on :P the more i play him the less i feel like putting any effort into him, since he is just extremely graphical fun to play and nothing else :P
  14. Having a bit trouble seeing where my Fire/Fire tanker would shine more than my SD/SS Tanker?

    Did i mess my Fire/Fire tanker completely up? only place i find my Fire/Fire tanker better is the aoe.

    My SD/SS solos +4/x8 with no trouble, Owns my fire/fire in ST dmg, tanks great in incarnate with aid self once and a while if im for some reason caught alone in a Eliteboss/boss pack. Exemping for tfs or even regular mish's feels very powerful and without a worrie even without a supporter AT. Basicly my SD/SS is extremely safe, soloing or teaming without caring about anything.

    My Fire/Fire just seems meh! in everyway, he is fun tho, but just seems odd i cant find anything he is supreme in. I actually thought he would shine both ST and AOE dmg for the cost of survivability, which was why i created him to try 'burning' stuff down before it would hurt me. Did i mess him up?

    Curius to hear any thoughts from those who probally played fire/fire to perfection
  15. Im playing SD/SS, from looking at the interface it would seem reactive is the most dmg? but im not sure which one and does the fire dmg stack? =)

  17. Aww thats a pity, would be interesting to hear from someone who tried anyone got som numbers om how much +4 av regens? All i can find on wiki is 2000% :s

    I just did a rikti pylon to actually see how long it would take... 22mins which should be 157 dps or so, thats without incarnate stuff and insps...

    Any numbers anyone?
  18. Searched the forum and didnt seem to show any threads about it... Is that because its just old news?

    So is it possibl without pets :P i didnt want to try it if the dmg wont be enough?

    Took me forever to get at pylon to 75% and i bet it has less regen and dmg resist than a +4 av

    another thing, if i create 2 jet packs will i have 2 temp powers or will it just renew the timer to 30mins again?
  20. Been thinking about skipping Superjump for another power, being technology it seems kinda cool to create your own travelpower just wondering if i create it in lv50 i will be able to use it when exemplared?
    And is the travelpower invented a use time or online time untill it vanish?
  21. That looks really great, didnt expect someone to actually work on it in Mids since my build was kinda messy, so i really appreciate that its so much better than what i could manage to figure out

    Yea i took FA just for the mule. I Havnt got 30 heromerits on 1 toon unfortunately, but i got one with 10 i guess thats my 'fastest' way of getting that Glad unless i find alot of purples to sell hehe

    Only thing ive changed was putting a slot from maneuvers to health, to gain a health bonus instead of the recharge bonus, since the acc from the lotg set exeeded the cap. Only because recharge seems less important than health as Spine/WP if you cant have both. Maybe im wrong


    Havnt done any incarnate what so ever, but if im not totally wrong i could get the last bit of defence from the Destiny Barrier Core ability?
    And get the alpha for healing, seems the best if i had to chose? or any advice regarding this incarnate stuff?
  22. So my scrapper is doing great even tho he is all SO's right now, but would like to see how beastly he could become. After i came back to CoX i desided to do tips on all my alts to get a toon well IO'd, since 1.5 bil aparently is nothing anymore :O

    So im sitting on about 50 Hero merits and alot of merits to transfer to hero merits and 1.5bil inf.

    My goal is to get 45% S/L/E/N defence and about 500% regen but that seems impossible to reach as i builded.

    I cant even get to 32.5 def S/L and very high regen so i could pop a purple every now and then.

    Please guide me guys

    Either in direction of 32.5% def S/L/E/N and high regen
    or
    45% def S/L/E/N if possible whichs is what i would prefer, even if it would mean i had to get insane amounts of inf.
