My SD/SS seems better than my Fire/Fire in every way?

Having a bit trouble seeing where my Fire/Fire tanker would shine more than my SD/SS Tanker?

Did i mess my Fire/Fire tanker completely up? only place i find my Fire/Fire tanker better is the aoe.

My SD/SS solos +4/x8 with no trouble, Owns my fire/fire in ST dmg, tanks great in incarnate with aid self once and a while if im for some reason caught alone in a Eliteboss/boss pack. Exemping for tfs or even regular mish's feels very powerful and without a worrie even without a supporter AT. Basicly my SD/SS is extremely safe, soloing or teaming without caring about anything.

My Fire/Fire just seems meh! in everyway, he is fun tho, but just seems odd i cant find anything he is supreme in. I actually thought he would shine both ST and AOE dmg for the cost of survivability, which was why i created him to try 'burning' stuff down before it would hurt me. Did i mess him up?

Curius to hear any thoughts from those who probally played fire/fire to perfection

Export both builds using Titan Network, post them here, let's see what ya got.

As someone who has both a Fire/Fire/Pyre and a SD/SS/Nrg tank, they play differently. Both are great at dmg. I prefer the Fire for most situations as fire is typically less resisted then Super Strength's smashing dmg. The SD being soft capped will survive some situations the Fire tank won't. But it truly goes both ways. There are some situations, like DE, that my Fire tank breezes through that can melt the SD tank. (Damn you Quartz Emitters!)

The problem about my fire tank is theres not much burning going on :P the more i play him the less i feel like putting any effort into him, since he is just extremely graphical fun to play and nothing else :P

Well first thing I noticed is your recharge on your fire/fire tank is low, not to mention there is a few things i would change on it. I would 5 slot HF with 5 DW instead of what u have in there and it would recharge faster then u have now, also i would switch out your LoTG def with LoTG end/recharge to lower the end usage and switch out your def/end/recharge for the LoTG global recharge that should help u with your recharge on it. I did a little twiking on your build for your fire do not have time to go over everything though.

Yeah I prefer that fire is WAY less resisted than smashing/lethal. To be quite honest, I shy away from any S/L set anymore, even titan weapons has had a rough time trying to warm me to it. As for which one is better, eh, they're both good really both the primaries and secondaries mentioned (and if either were mixed as well) are well used, and with good reason

Thanks LSK i can see theres some improvement in that you mentioned and tweeked a bit more recharge for damage and more heals

Yea fire i supposed to be less resisted but the insane +damage from Against All Odds and double rage on my SD/SS just outshines my Fire/Fire tankers damage even when fighting high smashing resistance enemies on my SD/SS. I havnt worked alot on my Fire tankers build tho, but im finding it hard to see how i would do same damage even with alot of changes as of now and even if i get the same damage im much less survival than my SD/SS, but that might be my playstile isnt adapted to my fire tanker after playing so much on my SD/SS.

Im really trying to make my Fire/Fire tanker my main and shelve my Shield tanker Just need some hardcore tweeking in my build and playstile i guess

Just to say the FA/FM tank does alot more ST damage than the SD/SS tank

SS has pretty poor DPS

Yea Black_Assasin that im aware of... but i made this thread because mine doesnt and im trying to solve that hearing and learning from the lovely tanker community what im doing wrong

It might be a bad test but my SD/SS can take down a pylon, my fire/fire cant get pass the Pylons hp regen thats the only way ive tested the dps

What chains are you running on both toons?

I dont run a specific chain..
but my SD/SS is just jabbin between the cds of Haymaker and KB
Fire is scorch between the cooldowns of my Incinerate and GFS

I haven't looked at your builds yet - but seems to me that for your fire/fire, the first part of your attack chain should be Fiery Embrace, scorch, (for the bruise) then burn, GFS, Incinerate, Build up, scorch, burn, etc.

In order to fairly test the two, you need to use the tools at your disposal.
There's nothing wrong with the attacks you mention, but why not use Fiery Embrace and Build Up and Burn?

To be fair, there are some folks that are so....attuned to their character that they have studied and read about their powersets that they know without question which attack chain gives the best dps for that toon.
I am wound kind of tight, but not that tight, lol. Not yet, anyway. Attack chains are limited by recharge rate- and to a degree, endurance available.

Moreover, on a fire tank, odds are healing flames has got to enter into it at some point. As will consume in any prolonged battle.

As for overcoming the pylons regen, what's in the interface compared with what your SD/SS has?

Too busy to take a peek at your builds atm, was actually searching for something else.

Oh, with the new ATOs, the tanker proc is awesome for fire tanks, especially if you have it in scorch, a fast recharging power with low end cost.

I am using Fiery Embrace and BU when ever their off cooldown sorry i caused confusion about that just didnt write them in the chain since thats always useded like rage, i didnt write rage in my SS chain either but i didnt use burn for anything else than when im against more than one foe, maybe thats more dps
And yea i dont have a locked chain since i adapt to the recharge when hasten is on and off and it change a bit.

I dont have interface on any of them nor did i use alpha or pets
