Quote:thats cause walk is prolly one of the most useless powers in the game, the ONLY reason it was made was for RP purposes, i cant speak for everyone, but IMO walk is completely pointlessOf all the times I've come to this forum, I've NEVER seen a single person post an inquiry as to when/if our characters can have the awesome new power of walk. Then, when the new walking power made it's debut, there was such a fanfare about it like it made a huge difference to the gameplay. How many issues have gone by now, and we can't get dual-origin endurance modification enhancements from AE, and then there's the issue of new base editing tools, as well as base salvage racks.
I have seen more posts of people asking about base-items or new base editing tools than I have about 'walk', and yet, we can now walk anywhere we want in the game. Woo hoo. -
Quote:the aura corrs get is actually a different powerThe regeneration aura in Pain is supposed to be better for MM than for Corrupters. I think it has to do with having more total hitpoints, but I could be wrong.
the mm aura adds regen, while the corr aura is actually a auto-heal which ticks a small amount of health every second -
super speed is a nightmare in ANY zone with too much vertical movement
superjump i would have to say the only place it WONT be very useful is in the shadow shard
fly i dont think has any issues with it being the most free moving travel power, however it can be very slow and in many zones heroside, the zones are litered with 100 ft tall skyscrapers so you can just set fly on auto movement like you could in nerva
teleport i think is in the same pool as fly, its one of the most free moving travel powers,. but you have to be able to SEE where your gonna tp (not to mention this is the most end hoggish travel power) -
Quote:i think a large majority of the problem is the limit of 30 items per salvage container, since the average lvl 50 toon can hold enough to fill 2 containers right now, if they just increased the size of the container to 120, that would quadruple the amount of stuff you could hold PER salvage rack and still not be too much (like when it was unlimited before)Yeah, I'm still hoping they'll do something about this "Soon"!
I have characters on servers where I've only got a couple on red-side (or blue-side). And ideally, I really wish I could move them to one of the Server(s) where I have a large or decent-sized, "Solo" SG or VG Bases.
To make use of the Teleporters, Empowerment Stations, a Pillar of F&I, and whatnot.
But... In those Bases that I would like to move them to, I've already got 18 "storage items" (or I'm quite close and all the ones I have there are essentially full), which is problematic - to put it politely.

if they did put fires in the AE, then you would HAVE to put in an optional rescue ally that has ice powers.
another problem is there are 2 types of fires, the ones that spawn in zones are targetable and killable with ice powers, and theres ones that spawn inside mishs (grandville beach map (also used in one of scorpions mishs), one of the portal corp mishs in an RWZ arc, ect) have fires on the maps by default, but they are not killable because when you target them it says "invalid target" when trying to use a power -
Quote:i would highly discourage this, doing this is technically an exploit and the mm pet xp is gonna get nerfed prolly next issueAdd Boss--> Pets -->Bruiser/AssaultBot/Onietc...make his surrounding grp easy. on most maps it will be just him. Allies help if they are just there to buff/debuff and will not reduce ur xp
and putting mm pets in as normal enemies for an enemy group is not a good idea either as they warrent 0 xp -
between 30 and 40 it was mostly CoT and other enemies that did Kb type stuff, and longbow with those damn nullifiers and their beanbags (i swear i was almost perma stunned when i fought longbow without mez protection)
but a large amount of the problem was CoT, but between 30 and 40 is when a lot of the mez-heavy enemies start showing up (rikti was another major annoyance, they have kb and stun on almost every attack and drones see through stealth)
off the top of my head i cant list any others that caused too much of an issue -
ah, thx for the clarifcation, i rarely buy IOs from the merit vender because they are too damn expensive, i usually just random roll my merits (6/10 times i get something good)
-
lol, i honestly doubt you would get that many, your comp might run out of space (especially if you got hundreds of AE mishs too lol)
-
it will give you the recipe at either the recipe lvl cap or your current lvl
the slider is used to get IOs that fall within that lvl range
for example if you moved the slider to lvl 20, you could get any IOs that overlapped at that lvl, but they would give you the recipe as high as whatever your lvl was or the highest lvl of the recipe -
Quote:if you were on victory server i could help, and i dont think thats against rules if its using legitimate dev made mishsNot sure if this is against the forum rules, but didnt see anything bout it....
Soloing my blaster has been a real PITA and I was wondering if someone could help me power level it. I am willing to offer 2mil each level as well as giving you whatever purple recipes drop if they do and rare salvage
(currently lvl 26) -
on my very first stalker (MA/ninjitsu, been deleted for a long time now though), didnt get mez protection until the mid 30s
before lvl 30 you dont really need it too too much, but it is VERY annoying to not have mez protection at all, but as long as you take the mobs down fast you shouldnt have too much of a prob going until 30 without mez protection -
its basically the same thing as hand clap from super strength, just with different FX
and dang synapse, statesman, and all the other hero rank NPCs that can do dmg with handclap/thunderclap -
the limit of storage containers wouldnt be as much of an issue if they didnt limit each salvage bin to 30 items (the inspiration and enhance storages can hold 100 each)
if they at least made each salvage bin 100 items, it would drastically improve that because 30 items is what a lvl 25 toon can hold (i think thats the right lvl), my main at lvl 50 can hold 80 salvage, so by himeself he could fill almost 3 bins, which is ridiculous -
most likely its like AE, where you can have as many saved local stories (stories saved to your computer), since costumes are saved locally, this is prolly a similar or the same mechanic

Quote:my spine/elec is 50 atm and went with power mastery for extra attacks and physical perfection to help assist with end some while power sink recharges (my guy runs 7 toggles normally)Ah, someone else playing a spine/elec. Mine is currently halted at 28 as i build up a supply of level 28 set IOs and i find Quills+Lightning Field very useful for eliminating most of the minions as i focus on the bosses and lt.
i do find elec a bit squishy against most enemy groups at level 28 compared to my other Scrappers, but most of that will be easy to fix once i resume leveling.
at upper lvls its fairly strong, the resist powers 3 slotted for resistance with just SOs give him about 41% resist to most everything and he has capped energy resist
he also has so much multi target dmg, he can wipe a whole mob in a matter of minutes (except bosses)
my normal attack chain for him is :
fling spines -> energy torrent -> spine burst or ripper -> spine burst or ripper (whichever i didnt use the first time)
then i usually repeat that, if they feel slow charging i use my other powers to do some DPS while those 4 are down -
if someone did join at the very end of something, the reward would be less than value of 1 most likely and thus ignored by the system based on how the suggested system works
as for the bank mishs and stuff, i never want to do a bank mish more than once because it only awards the temp power once (with the exception of the one side mish that awards a random temp power), but those may or may not show up and makes the bank mish not worth the effort except to get a new contact, but once you have all the contacts and done all of them, there really is no point to doing bank mishs unless you need a badge for an accolade
i think bank mishs are fun, especially at upper lvls on large teams because theres a chance a hero can show up, but most poeple wont even do the upper lvl bank mishs because its just not worth the time right now -
just be careful with who you give it too, some people could report it as harassment and some people have computers that cant handle the speed increase of speed boost (they could lag horribly or just instantly crash)
-
my main is about 40 hours away from another day job/day job accolade which will put him at 601
other than that, outside of vet badges and unobtainables, im missing 3 day jobs, 2 day job accolades, and the rest are vet badges -
Quote:i think this idea would be more feasible if they only made 1 new powerset that was dual pistols weapons but was like trick arrow and did debuffs (it would give more of the malta gunslinger feel)Trick Arrow is an interesting powerset. On one hand, it really captures that Green Arrow feeling, and it goes great with Archery.
But with the advent of Dual Pistols, why should we just limit Trick Arrow to Archery? None of the powers themselves explicitly require an arrow to work. In a world of supertechnology, you can easily make special cartridges for your ranged weapon of choice with the same effect.
So here's my suggestion... Replace Trick Arrow with a functionally identical set called Trick Shot, which is compatible with all "ranged weapon" sets, and bases it's animations off of the weapon you select for it. (You can use different weapons if you need to thematically, of course).
The powers will work the same, and the Bow wielding heroes and villains will be untouched, but the thematic possibilities will increase.
...Assuming this is possible, of course... -
i think for tfs and such, he was implying that the over time awards would add up, but would still only be awarded at the end for anyone that still stayed on the team.
as for the bank mission rewards, you can only get the temp power ONE time per toon, hes talking about a reward thats given out every time
i honestly like this idea, it would allow for slightly easier solo merit-gaining ability because right now tfs/sfs are the only things that give merits worthy of rerunning
ouroboros sfs/tfs and flashbacks give out a tiny reward and lock you in so you cant get people to join part way through, and according to his system, it would allow poeple to join in middle because the merit rewards are calculated individually and the completion amount would just be what the person earned according to his requirements
i think it would be a good idea to even be able to get 1 merit from paper mishs, and this system prevents abuse because the merits are calculated individually with a variable holding a merit value for each person (can be tied to global, but not sure about details), therefore tfs/sfs wouldnt give a default amount, but an amount based on how many mishs you were in and how long you were in the tf, if you ended early, your merit value was reset (only reset the whole number part of the merit value) and you get no reward
the merit value would reset when you started a tf/sf and if you dropped early before the reward was given. the merit variable would reset whenever an award was given -

this idea is excellent to provide more use of an sg base other than travel and storage -
Quote:if i want xp/inf i would rather run mishs to get it, if the devs implemented something like this for xp/inf, the amount so low as to make it basically worthless to do because of poeple farming it for easy xp (losing on purpose, ect)To play as your heroes/villians, get xp, play with friends online

i would rather them focus on game content and fixing current issues -
why in the heck would i ever log into coh/v to play that? if i wanted to play one of those windows already has all of those built in.
