Mini Games

I think we should beable to play little games, like

Chess
Checkers
Crazy 8

And many, many other bored/card games.

We could aslo play basketball, maybe bowling...

The point of this?? Well maybe it can give some XP and $Inf if you win a game
I think this would be so cool!

Also, maybe you can play racing games, for superspeed you can race Synapse, or who ever can run fast.

There could be boxing too. : p so many mini games we can add for fun.

Power, once again: Don't post ideas until they're fleshed out. You've got a spark of an idea here that could potentially become good... Now go, MAKE it good, and don't come back until you do.

that is what the windows key or windowed mode is for. we do not need anything else distracting us from the game itself.

So you can log into your video game character to play a game of checkers?

If you want to play those games, find them somewhere else online to play them.

I'd really rather the devs not spend time on this when they could be doing something that, you know, actually has something to do with CoH.

CoH already IS a game in and of itself. What would be the point of there being a dozen games in it that you could find better versions of elsewhere? If I want to play a game of chess, I'd rather it be a version of chess that was designed from the ground up to be a chess game, not a cobbled together version that was thrown in as an afterthought in a larger game that I already play.

But can you use your own heroes as knights, rooks, and the only guys?

Oh, and you get xp, and $inf from the games that not in CoH.

What can I put in it to make it sound good?

To play as your heroes/villians, get xp, play with friends online

Uh, no.

How the hell does playing checkers give you more experience at being a hero?

AE is virtual reality, it gives you experience because it replicates the things you gain experience for.

Please explain how playing a game of checkers in any way relates to fighting/committing crime. You get experience for doing things that make you a better hero or villain.

Playing checkers does not make you a better hero or villain.

You can already play any of those games with your friends online, in game programs designed for it.

Still don't want the devs wasting their time on this when they could be making the game that I'm paying to play better.

They already have this type of mini-game. The devs call it PvP.

if i want xp/inf i would rather run mishs to get it, if the devs implemented something like this for xp/inf, the amount so low as to make it basically worthless to do because of poeple farming it for easy xp (losing on purpose, ect)

i would rather them focus on game content and fixing current issues

I think what CapnGeist is suggesting is that you let your ideas mull around in your head a bit before you post them.

Here's some people we think of as geniuses:

Albert Einstein: "It's not that I'm so smart, it's just that I stay with problems longer"

Beethoven walked around with a scrapbook where when an idea would pop in his head he would write it down in his scrapbook. We still have that scrapbook. For example, his famous motive 5th symphony (Da-Da-Da-Duhn) was repeated about 7 times in one of his sketches, which sounds rather...stupid when actually performed. Instead, the phrase he chose after thinking only reiterates the motive 3 times before beginning anew.

Gustav Mahler, the great symphonist would spend months sketching out his work before even presenting the ideas to friends.

Brahms spent years trying to come up with ideas for music. He burned them all up because he felt they weren't worthy. When he finally shared one, we got his first symphony.

Music is my strength, so I know more about them then others, but those people we truly believe are great invest a lot of time and thought in their ideas. You don't have to spend years on an idea, but letting the idea bounce around in your head a few days helps you come up with all the nice details on how it might work.

If I may make a suggestion Power, Try not to let people know a tag bothers you. There are posters that will deliberately go out of their way to aggravate you if they know it bothers you.

Instead send a tell to one of the mods and ask them to remove it.

I'm just thinking that original idea is not totally bad. There is some game tables in Pocket-D and other places. Maybe its not bad idea to add them a littlebit interactive options. We dont need them but we dont need emotes either. Just something small fun at boring moments. Lets say when you click some flippermachine then small window opens and you can play that game and character makes some proper emotes at same time. Yeah totally waste of time but could be fun

Oh... perhaps you could get some badges too.
