Make Fires an Enemy Group for MA

Like it says in the title I suggest that fires are made available as an enemy group for the Mission Architect system. Why? Well there are already targetable fires in the game anyway so (in my uneducated opinion) it shouldn't be too difficult to code them for the MA. I can see a simple fire having some nice potential in the MA. Such as...

...as a main objective. Put out fires (assuming you have ice powers or fire extinguisher temp power).

...adding character or extra challenge to an existing map.

...adding extra dimension to other objectives. ie setting bombs which then causes the fires to spawn.

What do you guys reckon?

sure they can. there is a person standing in each AE that sells insps. she could sell the extinguisher temp power also.

i see no problem with this as long as there are no rewards tied to the fires at all. we do not need another round of AE nerfs due to exploits. and this, if they gave rewards, would be highly exploitable.

Yes. This. Please. Or at least give us back the burning forest map! The very first arc I made in AE is ruined without it. At least if we have fires we can make ANY map burn.


With fires as placable enemies/items you could have something like this happen:
Mission Objective: Set bomb in warehouse.
When you set the bomb it 'explodes' and causes fires to spawn all over the map.

Extinguisher temp power has a limited number of charges. What when you run out? {remember, it's not autohit} Do you have to run outside and pick up another one?

i was thinking more like it didn't have any charges but would run out when the mission/arc was over. but that way would be to hard to code. probably more feasable to give it 100 charges. if you run out you just go get another one.

if they did put fires in the AE, then you would HAVE to put in an optional rescue ally that has ice powers.

another problem is there are 2 types of fires, the ones that spawn in zones are targetable and killable with ice powers, and theres ones that spawn inside mishs (grandville beach map (also used in one of scorpions mishs), one of the portal corp mishs in an RWZ arc, ect) have fires on the maps by default, but they are not killable because when you target them it says "invalid target" when trying to use a power

that is why the OP made it clear which way he wants them added in.
