The mission that sees you assaulting Portal Corp (I think it appears in all 4 Patron arcs) would be just perfect run from the Hero side view point.

As well as stopping Nemesis and his Mole Machines (give them back SOME xp please, that mission is just awful).

Protecting mole point brave..saving Akarist, not kidnapping him.

Yeah I see what your saying Shub. But..the Snipe changes are NOT a fault with water blast..if they do somehow make WB one of the worst sets. It will still be one of only 2 (I hope Im right..) sets with a self heal, a HUGE power, especially for the blaster AT.

Don't forget that not everyone actually likes snipes. I know I wont be taking them on many, if any of my blast set toons.

I would hope (fingers and toes crossed) that Water comes out well balanced enough to deal with snipe updates. And if not..it will still be the sexiest set about, and I'll play it anyway.

Kinda odd how so many of these peeves are to do with Roleplaying..like there's a wrong or right way...

For me..lowbies joining high level teams and flat out insisting they are contributing..with their 3 attacks at lvl 8 and no power slots. As they die in seconds to any incoming fire. I still can't decide if them joining the team if the first place makes them as idiotic as actually saying they are helping.

Awesome idea..compare a new set to what is seen as the BEST in ST and AoE! And then you wonder WHY it somehow..isnt the best? Genius. If it was the best, then other people, perhaps even you, would go moan that damn it, my fire blast and ar toons arent the best any more, cause they make new sets toooooooo good. OMG power creep *head explodes*

EA stunk? Sorry but it didnt. A friend of mine had an EA brute, back before IOs, and it was far and away the best melee I have ever seen. Sure it wasn't the most obviously 'good' set but it was not half as bad as all the whiners made out.

Same with DP. I think you need to change your comments to..YOUR dp sucks..your archery sucks, your grav sucks, your ea sucks. Other people love those sets and do just fine with them..more than fine.

Again, as others are saying..NOT everyone plays any set to be the best. If your ego can't handle not being the best..go roll some more ss/fire alts.

As much as alot of people seem to be sick of all things Prea..I still like it. Some ATs from that world might be the easiest to fit in..since things like the PPD are stepping on Khled toes.
I do like the idea of a Rikti-fied AT, perhaps with the progression from Human to Lost to Full Rikti, give new powers along the way.

Agree too..and I am UTTERLY amazed that an entire two people can agree that hero side should get arcs too..without going into the usual whiny garbage about how the poor heroes should just get patron arcs free!

Also..until they nerf it, if they do..you really want the Overwhelming Force proc (from teh summer event) in Bonfire..its super good.

Yeah they did. Apparently it was to 'fix' stats the Hamis were boosting..that they werent meant to. It did annoy quite a lot of Shielders, WS's too.

Still not sure about power boost. Even on my doms and blasters with it (of which I have a lot) I dont really use PB as much as I could/should.
Depends also on how many Water power I pick..if it goes the way of tw, stj, and stff..I'll be taking them all...lol

Some of the Malta Gunslingers have decent animations..still a lil flashy, but a lot less gun ninja.

I have sleet on a few of my doms and its crazy good. I usually find I am too slot stressed for the AH proc though..the power is THAT good as it is, you can just put in one 50 rech IO, and it will be awesome, especially if you already have the huge global rech a lot of doms go for.

I usually do that, or slap in 2-3 Lady greys, for the hp bonus, and to lower the rech/end of Sleet itself.

Remember reading damage procs are crappy in rain powers. I think. Maybe someone else will have the reasons.

With water coming next week..I am thinking of making a water blast/poison corr.

Last time I did poison was on an MM, before the recentish changes..and I was not impressed.

Can anyone with experience with it comment? And yes, I know a LOT of pvp builds use it..but I am pretty much only thinking for pve. Not that a pvp persons comments wont help also..

I am poking in Mids, and seeing the rez and mez prot as very skippable. The heal I'd take..even if it is hardly amazing. Does Poison Trap still suck? I know it is faster placing..thats it..

The cone slow..I did not mind that on my MM. Would most likely skip the hold too.

Venom Gas..best to slot that for -to hit and end red?

Last thing..if I do decide to build him for some defence (ranged +scorp) then I could not take power boost too. Is that a 'must have' for poison?

Back on topic..those Moral High Ground missions are really painful. As someone said, waiting till lvl 15 works well, as then you can do both Paths on whichever side (resist or loyal) and THEN switch sides..so you will get 4 moral credits, after lvl 15.
Still..only 2 of my Prae toons actually have the badge. We really need to get those arcs in Oro.

It is rather ironic that Dech's own sig is about 10 times more intrusive than simply ending a post with a name..and ALSO contains 'Dechs'...so he is guilty of the very thing he is moaning about.

That..is not true at all Gob. I have done about 40 runs..without preforming. Sure preforming helps, but its silly to claim NO one q's.

I think it can work both ways..depends on the power sets. As someone said..a cold fender will bring a HUGE amount more to this than a cold corr.

Looking back at my runs (over 50) I could group them into some rough types.
Runs with no buffs/debuffs or healing. So basically just 4 damage at.
As above, but with NO meat shield type.

Then ones with buffs but no debuffs.
Debuffs but no buffs.

Obviously theres more combos but you get the idea.

So far..for me..any run with some form of -res, will go faster. Even if the team if dying a bit..-res beats the perfectly safe one..but with no debuffing. Especially Vs Sylivia.
For meat shields..brutes are much better I think. Given how popular SS is as melee set, brutes just blow tanks out of the water at 30 (generally). Granted, the tank might be able to survive better..but there is really only one situation with more the one Av/Eb at a time anyway. Ok maybe more to be picky.

The event seems to balance well for nearly all teams though. For instance, one of mine ended up with my dark dom, a blaster and a stalker. And we got through it with hardly any deaths.

Another run that I 'thought' was gonna be sloooow, was my grav/time troller (no -res) 2 StJ stalkers and..a blaster I think. Both the stalkers were 50 and had the ATO proc kicking, and the avs went down in seconds.

Just going back to the Kin fender example. I think they were the most helpful vs the ninja monkies. Most of the avs are alone and dont provide a massive amount of FS. SOnic fender though..mine really speeds things up.

Also think MMs are very good on this, with all the upgrades naturally. Just finished my faster run EVER. Demons/dark, demons storm, fire kin corr and ill rad. We killed 88 ninjas, then 76 monkies..woulda been more if te gas didnt make pets run. We actually thought we missed teh Invictus badge..because the Champ went to 30% hp THAT fast, then his boss pets basically vanished.

That's it! I had a mental blank and could only think of pineapples.
