Ya, you kind of need to do it without the lore pets for it to be significant. Not that it isn't interesting to see.
-
VEATS have NOT had access to PPP's since release. Access to brute PPP's were given a short time after VEATS went live.

Which is part of why I chose electric over sr for my db. But with electric you need to get some s/l defense for comparable survivability with an sr, which leaves sr able to slot more +dmg. Whether that extra +dmg is enough to overcome a damage aura (especially with reactive) remains to be seen.

Quote:That's 200 dps before pets. With three pets, add ~150 dps, and subtract a chunk for the rather large animation time of summoning one every minute. Regardless, that's plenty to solo an AV.Which is the best soloing the AV ( or is that even possible)
Is 200 dps enough even with the 5 current incarnate powers
It's certainly true that multiple builds helps. I've got all 3 of my builds IO'd out just so I can max certain aspects for what I need.
Edit: Just checked, and (if they would just fix the stupid pet AI so they wouldn't get right next to the enemy) my non-optimized build could take out a pylon in no time. Easily 300 dps range. -
Well actually, if the pb has some teammates that can boost its resistances to 85%, then it should be more survivable than the warshade because of those extra heals. Its not at all impossible that Irresponsible has had these experiences on such teams.

Once you get purples, stick with those as their bonuses don't go away even when exemped. I weigh IO level by how much I intend to exemplar and how much my lvl 50 performance takes a hit by using the lower enhancements. As I play almost exclusively in the 45+ game, I personally don't go with the lower enhancements. I know other people that never slot anything above level 30 except for purples though.

Quote:Can you set aside the rage just long enough to tell me what your human form attack chain is? I know you've posted numbers that show around 200 DPS.
I mean, my Gravity Well recharges in just over 5 seconds. It cannot get much faster. I'm not even to 100 DPS in human, so I'm either doing something terribadwrong or your T4 Reactive is 100 DPS alone. You're missing Shadow Blast, which is normal for a triformer to skip, but essential to the best human chain. I added SBlast to your build (took out Unchain for it), turned on the reactive and one enemy hit by Sunless Mire, and I'm showing ~138 dps before pets (GWell>SBlast>GSnare>Eye), without going into an extremely accurate analysis.
The build of mine I think you're referencing uses GWell>SBlast>EDrain>SBlast; or, with enough recharge boost either from Ageless or others to get GWell down to 4.88s recharge, it uses GWell>SBlast>SBolt>SBlast. It's slotted much differently though.
Edit: Actually, just checked, the 200 dps one uses GWell>SBlast>Eye>SBlast, but it's a dual form build. -
Quote:Well, you don't have the ideal setup for human attack chain, but if you add the t4 Reactive radial, Orbiting Debt should become more desirable.I did some number crunching. Trying to use Orbiting Debt and my Human single target attack chain brings me to 85 DPS against a single target (including Sunless Mire). If I stay in Dwarf Form, I can easily reach 100 DPS against the same single target.
It is possible I made a terrible attack chain. It is also possible that two out of three attacks in the dwarf chain have purple sets.

Quote:If you have the old version of mids it lists dark blast's damage as if it was always a crit.Really? Mids must be lying to me...
On mine it lists Focus as 81.8 and Dark Blast at 125.1
The higher chance to crit thing is a bit of a seller for me though that I hadn't considered and if my Mids is lying to me about Dark Blast being awesome, it makes the choice even easier.
thanks for the info guys. -

That seems close enough to accurate. And I do personally use Ageless when I don't need rebirth on my db/elec, which removes more of the pause. (I don't need barrier and definitely don't need clarion...)

Quote:I can't look at the sheet on my phone, but I'm betting you aren't calculating the gaussian proc in blinding feint. That makes a big difference, as otherwise db and kat can slot almost exactly the same things.
242 DPS Dual Blades (burning 4.18 EPS)
Think I'm wrong? Then have a look at the current spreadsheet. If I'm failing to employ some trick to boost Dual Blades' DPS, please let me know. If I'm calculating wrong, please let me know. I've found mistakes in the past. There may still be some. But saying what amounts to "That's wrong because it's wrong" isn't a very convincing argument, or really an argument at all.
242 DPS Katana (burning 4.24 EPS)
One thing I suspect is wrong is exactly when the Blinding Feint buff takes effect. I have it at the completion of the animation time, but I thought I remembered something like it being at the 1/2 second mark. If so, that would lower DPS due to less stacking of Blinding Feint, Achilles' Heel and Gladiator's Fury.
Since I didn't individually optimize builds, we might expect some minor DPS improvements were the builds to be fully optimized for their primaries.
Edit: lol, 'blinding front' -
Heh, I've made builds with similar goals at least three times before, and every time it ends up being very dwarf focused. Good mids practice

Because the way you said it means no one wants to change the way their own character functions, except as a means of ultimately messing with other people. If people are going to kick others from a team for doing knockback, they don't have to wait for a change like this. I would like to play my own peace bringer without knocking everything I touch away from me and my teammates. If your peace bringer does knockback, I truly don't care. If you are on my team and do it well, I probably just won't notice; if you do it poorly, I will be annoyed and just make sure I kill things before you get to them. But for myself, there is no other set like a peace bringer, so I can't just "go play a fire blaster."

Quote:That was a while ago, and we ended up deciding a bane spider actually will do more by a small margin (still pre-incarnate), as well as I believe an ill/cold/mace controller. Incidentally, the ill/cold/mace troller should be quite survivable as well.A player proved that a Fire/Fire Dom, in ideal conditions, can top 400 DPS. The top scrapper isn't even hitting 300. (this is without Incarnate powers.[...]
In practice, the top damage dealer for DPS will probably be a scrapper or brute. Maybe a VEAT. Your DPS takes a big hit when you're dead.
On paper though, the Fire/Fire Dom wins. -
Glad it helped. For a low budget build, basically you just want to get enough recharge to be able to use Blinding Feint>Attack Vitals Combo> repeat. I don't remember the amount of recharge that requires off the top of my head, but I know it is rather low. Anything else you can put into the build should go toward recharge and s/l defense. Luckily, even on SO's you can run all the toggles you want when you get electric's endurance tools (especially power sink), so you can grab tough/weave and the leadership pool if you want. You probably don't want to skip anything in electric (except Grounded), but you can skip an attack or two and confront from Dual blades and be just fine.
-
You can check the Kat/Elec guide in my sig for info on /electric. The only thing that will be different with dual blades is you will need to get your s/l defense bonuses from sets. I see no problem with running hover, really, except that it doesn't work well with Grounded (which I recommend skipping anyway). Can you elaborate a little more on your goals and budget?
-
Thx for clarifying. I was hoping the panacea would check per target (obviously). Endurance consumption is the main reason I have never stuck with a /dark.
-
-
Question: Does the panacea proc in Dark Regen check per enemy hit or per activation? Also, what about the endurance consumption vs gain of Dark Regen with only one target slotted like that? I have a hard time believing it will fill your endurance with only a couple of mobs, much less one.

Quote:Eclipse offers the same resistance to psi as it does to everything else.Eclipse doesn't help with Psy so that's the one area where I can see Ranged being superior - but you could just as easily simply not fight Carnies or Psychic Clocks.
Quote:Trouble is, you need to shift constantly to keep your dwarf mires stacked, fire human mire as often as possible, and be sure to drop to human when eclipse/hasten is up.
My personal take on it is if you plan to stay in nova form most of the time, go ranged defense; if you plan on giving a little more time to either of the other forms, go s/l. I have two builds for that reason myself. -
Electric melee will be better with nin for the reason brandx said. As far as everything else, nin will still have more mitigation. /EA will have loads and loads of endurance though, so it will be sort of the defense version of electric armor. An /electric stalker that can softcap s/l will eventually have more mitigation than /ea, but the /ea will be better than a non-softcapped /electric.
