I rarely ever roll single themed characters, but I really want a Dark/Dark controller. But I also really really want an Illusion/Dark. Hrmph........decisions decisions.

I miss the old CH/VC. It's lost the community feel it once had. I could spend hours going through stuff, now it's a 2-3 minute pass through.
And unlike some, I miss LoT's posts. -
But quite nice stacking with thunderclap. Herdicane, corner, Heart, Clap, Immob, profit!

A solid D. If not for altitis it would probably be a strong C.

Quote:I've found that with iTrials there is much less of the "we need this....we need that". The only thing you really "need" (note the quotation marks) typically is someone to handle alpha and I've seen that handled by plenty more ATs than just tanks and brutes. Level shifts seem to be more helpful than "we need one of those". Is it nice to have certain things available? Sure, but not required. Best thing to do is play what is fun to you and try really hard to work with your group. Thanks for all the replies.. sounds like the controller will do just fine.
I had heard about this change but wasn't quite sure, excellent.
Also, yes I have been kicking around the idea of making a Fire/Cold corr as well. I did make one, but it is only level 12. I wanted to use the Cold set and I haven't yet (extensively), but I decided to go with Ill/Cold (rerolling from Ill/Rad). I want this to be an end game character as well. The Kin was envisioned to be my "buffer" and the Cold my "debuffer" and play them depending on the needs of the team.

Or post a thread in your servers forum and ask for an active VG or group that teams during the times you are usually on. There are dedicated redsiders out there on every server. You just have to seek them out sometimes.

That was great.
Loved AT-AT greyhound. -
I'd love to see the build, because I'm having a hard time visualizing a build that is so tight it can't hold two of your secondary's powers. And what advantage your build has over not having that strong pbaoe heal. My Ill/time was able to perma farsight, PA, Chrono, etc without a fifth LotG (I believe my build has 4)and while taking all of the time powers. Chrono, Temporal selection and Mending all take heal sets and Doctored Wounds gives 5% recharge increase 5 slotted. Depending on which epic you take you can get another 5% from red fortune or impervious skin 5 slotted. You could cap out your 6.25% recharge bonus (Not LotG) with Propel, Lift, ST hold and an ancillary pools ST attack with 5 slotted decimation and 4 slots of Expediant Reinforcement in Singy. Add to that Chrono and Hasten and you should have plenty of recharge for a Grav/Time to be quite nasty.

The "A" storyline of each week seems to be kind of a "monster of the week" type episode with a new inmate (and I'd assume guards) showing up in the real world. But there are definitely several over arching mysteries that seem to be dealt with as well. Much like Lost: "how did this happen", "who's behind it", "is this character good or bad". etc. Not so sure I'd say they will be totally self contained as it looks like at least a portion of the episode will be dedicated to the big story and the "monster of the week" tying it all together.

I enjoyed it well enough. Good cast. Interesting premise. Multi-layers of mystery. It will definitely be on my DVR list.

It seems like this was brought up in the Dev Coffee Talk one time and they said it was on the board, but gave no indication on when. i.e. not anytime soon but it will eventually happen.

Khelds. I've tried and tried but I don't think I will again.

Yes it does transfer to your pets. Think of alpha like slotting your powers. So if a power takes accuracy enhancements then (nerve) alpha will boost it by that much following ED rules and bypassing ED a certain percentage based on the tier of your alpha. But note the recharge from Spiritual will not make your imps attack faster, just make the ability to summon them recharge faster.

While I'd never leave something like a TF or trial once started or even mid mission running regular content, I do leave teams when members of my SG get on. Not because they require me to, but because they don't require me to. We have never had rules or requirements of each other. We play together because we are friends and when we are on we want to play together.

Yes, texture to look like its an actual article of clothing without looking baggy. And white options that don't just blend into skin.

Now as far as a melee centric damage power goes, fissure is nice. We're just saying that we wouldn't rely on it as a source of disorient and therefore don't see the point of thunder clap. The only issue I see with ice is less of a desire to use your aoe immobs to set up containment if you are relying on ice slick as your primary source of mitigation.

1. New challenges.
2. The fact they aren't time consuming (Not you UG), so I can get a quick run in when I find I have a few minutes outside of my normal playing time to make progress on something. As long as you don't run back to back to back to back they don't feel like a grind.
3. New mechanics (even when they are annoying) to strategize around and overcome.
4. The powers and growth on characters that have been "stuck" the same for years.
5. Finding that one "thing" that rounds out a character that always just needed something. Sometimes its as simple as alpha or interface or a few pets to come along on missions.
6. The fact they are customizable from the start so I can match my existing customized powers.
7. The sense of community that comes with teaming with different people. I have a group of friends that have been playing together some as early as issue 2. We have a team going pretty much nightly and even though the group has shrunk over the years, those of us still around are here to play together. We typically run regular missions and story arcs as some prefer not to do TFs or have time limitations. And that is great. But it's also great to get in there and play with other people and personalities and make new friends and do different content for a change. -
The disorient in fissure is so unpredictable I'm not so sure the combination would be as reliable as say on an earth or fire troller that have primary powers with stuns.
Did you mean hurricane or tornado? Tornado is used more as a damage/pet power but does have debuffs and hurricane primarily a debuff. Either way I'd skip clap. -
I listen to the Nerdist family of podcasts. Nerdist (just finished the latest while playing CoH). You Made it Weird. Indoor Kids. Making it.
I listen to some of the SModcast stuff, not as much as I did before the big expansion.
I really enjoy Sklarbro Nation with the Sklar brothers.
I've dabbled in others like Doug Loves Movies and a few others I can't think of off hand.
I'm going to have to check out How Did This Get Made? Sounds right up my alley. -
When I originally started playing I was on a toss up between three characters. Two were on Guardian (FF def and empathy def) and another was on Pinnacle (Earth/Rad controller). That eventually got paired down to the FFer and the Controller but I still really didn't have the idea that I wanted a "main". As I started making friends and joining SGs I eventually decided that I needed to make a decision on a home server and therefore my namesake became my main on Guardian and has been since Dec. 04. (I eventually rerolled the controller over to Guardian)
When villains came out pretty much my villain from beta was rerolled live and has been my villain main ever since: Codename-Pox. Being a massive altoholic though, now "main" now just pretty much means which characters I take through new content for badges and other shineys i.e. Incarnate powers first. It does not mean the characters I mainly play. There is always several projects going that get the majority of my attention and then favorites I'll grab for whatever else comes up. -
There are a lot of phrases I'd use to describe Sucker Punch. "Too smart" isn't one of them. The "real point" of the story isn't that hidden or subtle or very deep. It's just a flawed flawed movie. Beautiful: yes. Great music: yes. Interesting concepts: yes but not terribly original. Bad acting: yes. Bad writing: yes. Over use of slow motion: god yes. Style over substance: buckets full. Misogyny disguised as feminism: possibly. Deep meaningful plot: come on...about as subtle as a sledge hammer and as deep as a teaspoon. I don't hate it, I even own it (thanks to a sale at Target); but its a C+ movie at best. It's a very long video game trailer mixed with a music video. There are things to like about it, but intelligence isn't one of them.

My WP tank jumped at the chance to take vigor.
