Would I be crazy to skip Temporal Mending?

Question is in the subject.

Some background: The toon in question is a Grav/Time Controller. I would like to lose one more power in my build to pick up an LotG set mule. My Singularity can't be healed anyway and I already add +Regen to my teammates with both Chrono Shift and Temporal Selection. I already skipped Time's Juncture (I don't want to be in Melee with this toon.)

So, would I be crazy to skip Temporal Mending? Do the buffs/debuffs in Time Manipulation bring enough to the table that teammates wouldn't kill me for skipping the heal?

Thanks for any input.

Depends on the team, really. Chrono Shift does have a decent heal component and can be used in a pinch if it's up. Are you power boosting Farsight or just using it at max enhancement?

It might be a little rough if you're the sole support on the team. If there's another controller/defender/corruptor/mm or even a dominator though you'll be golden.

Also, in my experience the +Regen in Temporal Selection is barely noticeable, just FWIW. Maybe fully slotted for it, I've never tried that.

I'm Powerboosting Far Sight and with the level of recharge I'm aiming for, I believe the Defense bonus will be permanent for myself and my teammates.

Not crazy, but I think Temporal Mending is a useful power. I can think of other powers for a Grav/Time that I would skip before Temporal Mending. Personally, I would probably skip Temporal Selection before Temporal Mending. I would take a full team heal over a single ally buff.

It really depends on your build and your playstyle. If you posted your build, folks might have some other suggestions. You have one place for a Luck of the Gambler in your secondary. You can pick up more with Hover, Afterburner, Combat Jumping. I know Power Boost is popular, but you could fit another LotG Recharge in an APP shield.

Power boosted farsight will definitely help. You won't be softcapping the team with it on a controller, but you can add a good 26-27%-ish or so defense to everyone. Coupled with Chrono Shift and rotating Selection you'll be okay for most content so long as the team is taking things down quickly and doesn't get into trouble.

I wouldn't try anything extremely challenging without some other support. Time's heal is one of the better AoE heals that doesn't require a to-hit check.

I will just go ahead and say it...YES you would be crazy to skip temporal mending. Skip Temporal Selection as advised if you need to skip anything in the time set. I think there are going to be times where you miss time's juncture as well but that is another page.

The development team and this community deserved better than this from NC Soft. Best wishes on your search.

Agree with Darth..skipping the aoe heal is crazy. Even more so because you actually HAD to ask if it was crazy..it should just be obvious. Its a great heal.

I'd love to see the build, because I'm having a hard time visualizing a build that is so tight it can't hold two of your secondary's powers. And what advantage your build has over not having that strong pbaoe heal. My Ill/time was able to perma farsight, PA, Chrono, etc without a fifth LotG (I believe my build has 4)and while taking all of the time powers. Chrono, Temporal selection and Mending all take heal sets and Doctored Wounds gives 5% recharge increase 5 slotted. Depending on which epic you take you can get another 5% from red fortune or impervious skin 5 slotted. You could cap out your 6.25% recharge bonus (Not LotG) with Propel, Lift, ST hold and an ancillary pools ST attack with 5 slotted decimation and 4 slots of Expediant Reinforcement in Singy. Add to that Chrono and Hasten and you should have plenty of recharge for a Grav/Time to be quite nasty.

Why wouldnt you want to be in melee?

Temporal Junction's -tohit acts like DDR for all that +Defense.

Id skip Temporal Selection personally >_>;;

Temporal Mending is also useful to just you. You used Chrono Shift, it's recharging, you're taking hits through the defense for whatever reason...SELF HEAL!

I would much rather skip Selection than Mending, as well. I'm sure you could get by without it and/or Time's Juncture, but I'm having a hard time imagining a build so tight it can't fit such excellent and key powers in.

I'll echo the sentiment that Temporal Mending is a highly desirable power even just for yourself. My elec/time troller sits above 45% defense with powerboost and about 50% lethal/smashing defense and there are still times that I'll use Temporal Mending to patch up damage that has gotten through.
