When I went to see if the controller did the same thing, I used classic. MM used new. (Or the other way around - just remember one used one, one used the other.)

I seem to be running into an issue with selecting pets via pet window as a Mastermind. (This does not affect teammates in either classic or new team windows. Just pets.)
Essentially, the pet window ignores my clicks if I'm on the bottom half of a pet's entry in that window. Given I tend to use that once I have a few pets to do things like, oh, heal them -it's a bit of a problem.
I tested this on two systems, and it behaved the same way. (I've got custom cursors on one - from the 'lost cursors' thread - but not on the other, and I wanted to make sure they weren't what the issue was.)
So, if I'm looking at a pet window, the area that's highlighted in green below is the only one that'll actually respond and let me select a pet:
[Pets......................]
|
[-------------------]
[Zombie Ted..]
[-------------------]
|
[-------------------]
[Undead Fred..]
[-------------------]
(etc. Of course, it'd also be the top half of the pet name, too.)
I'd started wondering if I had some sort of odd lag, since I was losing pets and healing the wrong ones when I'd turned to select a new one, until I saw what it was doing.
Edit: Seems the same holds true for Controller pets, but given there's (usually) only one to watch and they're not as key to most controllers, it wasn't really noticable to me (it's easier to click on a single pet versus using the pets window to select from multiples.) -
Just to clarify the process:
1. New email.
2. Put global in the recipient address.
When you select who to send it to, don't pick a character name, but the global. Say @COHDude has ten characters, and wants to send 5000000 INF from Blaster Bob to Controller Carol.
If he addresses it to Controller Carol, it'll fail. (You won't lose the INF, it'll give you a warning instead.) Instead, in the "to" field, he puts his own global, @COHDude.
3. Fill in anything for the subject.
I don't recall it autofilling for INF, but for enhancements and recipes it will. You can override this and put your own in, of course. Everything needs a subject.
4. Put anything in the body.
If you have nothing in the body, it just won't send. Even an "X" will do, but if I'm sending stuff to myself, I'll often jot down which character I want ti to go to ("For Controller Carol.")
5. Send!
Now, if @COHDude logs off Blaster Bob and hops on Dasterdly Dom Don, he'll still see the INF he sent - it's visible to (and claimable on) every character. He finishes his dom, heads over to Controller Carol. Y ou'll see a mini window that says "5000000 INF," with a "Claim" beneath it - grab it. (You may need to stretch it so you don't accidentally hit the "Report as spammer" button. UI issue.) -
Cap au Diable, north of the entrance to BB you'll see the Crucible.

More likely (for me at least) on Villainside. Heroside, you unlock the Midnight Club early (teens,) and can ignore the info/badge/runaround arc in the 30s. Villainside it's the other way around - you get introduced and do the runaround, and more than once I've thought by 35 or so (given the number of alts) that I'd unlocked the club, when in fact all I'd done is the mid-teens talk-tos.

Quote:Didn't they move them all down to Texas? Thought that came up in one of the other server list merge discussions.Because it was already said by the devs, US-EU transfers are not possible at this given time, US and EU servers physical are still at different locations.
... stupid login system.
Edit: Hmm. ok, the US FAQ just lists US servers there with no mention of the EU ones. -
Quote:The phrase "half baked" is serving two purposes here:And you know this... how?
Has there been an overview page yet for i21 yet?
Have they explicity stated what will and won't be in i21?
Have they released any information, whatsoever, about i21?
Oh, oh - I get it - you're just assuming it will be half baked based on nothing.
1. Progress on issue 21. Issue 21 is in progress but not complete. Thus, "Half" baked, aka incomplete, still in development. (And no, not a statement of "It's halfway done already.")
2. Statement of opinion on issue 20. The interface changes don't seem well thought out, items are steps back from what we had (the new team window, frankly, sucks, even in "classic" mode,) we've just complicated the salvage system - someone mentioned earlier how we'd removed the old base salvage because it was "too complicated," and now we have multiple branches all with their own salvage? It doesn't seem thought through. Thus, "Half-baked." -
Move the "what I'd do" to issue 22, since issue 21's at least as half-baked already as this one... so with that somewhat better timeframe:
- Arcs and a TF exploring Dark Astoria. (Two TFs, actually, the second higher one exploring a cycle of lightening and darkening of the area over the years.)
- Beginning a Shard revamp by putting content in the Firebase Zulu zone. We have Incarnates - their stuff comes a little later (issue 23, next zone over, starting to face Incarnate-level threats.)
- Villainside Shard instances dealing with Darrin Wade's plans - arcs and at least one TF, preferrably two, with a good level spread (and the second one, again, being "use that incarnate level power on something other than Tyrant's dancing girls.")
- Arcs starting to backtrace the Shivans and dealing with detecting the CS.
- Delete any and all reference to "Dr. Mindstorm or whatever his name is is the reason for power proliferation!" including that stupid cutscene VEATs get. -
Quote:Yeah, well, the devs seem to not want to even look at old zones, despite asking for content in areas such as DA that are screaming out for it. "We want to give you new stuff, not rework old!" has been their exceptionally disappointing and short-sighted mantra for a while now, and War Witch inhereited it (and has held it up with gusto.)Thanks for the input (No sarcasm) - but im just so "Sad" to see all the wasted old content....I dont know the last time I've seen people go to Dark Astoria to find Adamastor or Crey's Folley for Jurassik. I dont see anything but "LOWBIE LFF" and "CC STARTING IN AP IN 5 MINUTES! PRIZES ARE STUPID AMOUNTS OF MONEY!" (Which generally, only the Atlas Park "Sitters" win anyway)
Really? Still on Victory. ITFs practically fall together most of the time, and I'm not a prime time player. -
Quote:Well, the way we've been told, the Coming Storm is the next thing after Cole. It's why the Well has "gone insane" and started churning out Incarnates like mad. And we know the CS is not Ruularu, given we've had their "scouts" here since issue 6 (the Shivans.)There is a lot of potential here, just waiting to be tapped... and it makes for a logical next step after they (hopefully) finish with Praetoria.
So, disappointingly, we wouldn't see any action until mid or post CS (perhaps breaking down some of the barriers - but we'd have to have some CS "introduction" at the *least* in Issue 21, I'd assume Issue 22 finishes the Incarnate slots at the latest, so 23-24 if they give the CS the attention it's been building up for years... )
Assumption? We wouldn't have a real chance of anything Shardy 'til issue 25 at least. 2013, minimum. (Year, not issue.)
And that's going 21 - 22, finish Incarnates, start Storm, 23-24, Storm, 24 *perhaps* having Darrin Wade take advantage to try to break Ruularu out. (or start the process.)
Edit: OK, I'll backdate it a bit. 23 earliest for anything dealing with Ruularu given the echo in the Alpha arc. Still 2012, I'd guess. -

Well, some friends and I run a little group of Elec/Elecs and the END drain is most certainly noticable in PVE. Plus you do have a good bit of control going on in there - I'd call it still viable. Though if I were starting that same quartet today, I'd mix Elec control in with the Elec blasters, yes.

Quote:/this.I would much rather see it revamped a la the Positron TF in to something that is actually fun to play.
Dr. Q is one of the old, old TFs that just need flat out revamping.
While they're at it, give us a Shadow Shard issue that adds a nice, big chunk of other content (besides "Go read these stones" and "Go make me a Kora fruit milkshake") so people have even more reason to go there. -
And if you have hover, you've got a great place for a -KB IO, too!

Working for me. Which server? what powers/powersets? IN a mission, in one of the new trials/tfs, outdoors? Specifics help.
-
yeah, random is just that.
Had two drop (one each on two different characters) in the last month. Hadn't seen one for months before that. If I've had ten total actual drops since they came out, I'd be surprised. -

Quote:Not irrelevant at all. It's not a "single" attack. You're getting "attacked" twice - and each component matters when it comes to defense/resistance.Nice explanation; irrelevant, though. "One-shot" means a single attack.
It's a limitation (or feature, depending on your POV - would you rather build up Ranged defense that protects you against a wide array of types, or just Smashing, or Psi, or Energy, or one of many?) of the way the game figures out attacks.
I don't believe, frankly, that the game could tell the difference between one attack reading "Chief Mesmerist smacks you with lethal! Cheif mezmerist smacks you with energy!" and an alpha where "Guardian smacks you with energy! Guardian smacks you with energy! Drone hits you with energy!" all at about the same moment.
It's also used in things you're just not supposed to survive - such as the Steel Canyon fire explosion.
You already have quite a bit of protection, in that one attack of a single damage type (and there are a fair number) can't one shot you - and you can't die from falling. (Note there's no "falling" damage, just smashing.) That wasn't always the case. -
Quote:What, do something actually useful?I still think it needs to go one step farther and give a special title/color to trial accounts so people on active accounts will know when they see them that there is a player with restricted communications.
No, no. They have to make all name/pet/status text, as well as the background it's on, fuscia first. -
I don't buy Voodoogirl's "it costs money." It's shuffling data. If it were so horrendous, I don't think we'd have had them as a monthlong "perk" not that long ago.
Flipside, though, "you pay for a service" - go read the EULA. Service is not guaranteed. Things go down. While it's not untoward to *ask* for something in return for missing service, they're not obligated to do anything at all. I wouldn't call it a big issue (and yes, I have multiple pages of slots on many servers, so yes it would potentially affect me.) -
NPCs can't one-shot players. Any time you die from one "hit," you're getting hit with two separate "blasts" of damage.
To prove this to yourself, get two players - one good tank (to clean out everything but one of the Rikti in a spawn) and one level 1 anything.
Find a Headman Gunman. Set the level 1 into rest. Make sure nothing else is shooting. Let the Gunman take a shot. The level 1 will survive getting hit (with 1 HP.)
Why?
Just one type of damage (Energy, in this case. Also note the max HP on the right - compare to the damage on the left.)
Now, heal that level 1 up to full health. Find something else (I used a mezmerist - don't let him land a hold, etc. instead.) Do the same thing. The level 1 will die in one attack. Why?
One attack, but two "shots" of damage, Lethal and Energy. -
/signed, though not per account. There are some characters I just don't want attention drawn to, that I'll use when I just want to solo.
But yeah. If people are just using it for "oooh, pretty colors," well, it's not helping. -
