May 2010:
May 2010 CoX Calendar
May's Calendar features the Atlas Park fashion show map! This is found during the Twilight's Son Task Force in Ouroboros. This arc is available to both Heroes and Villains, so I branded it accordingly.
I really wanted to feature City Hall somehow, but I wasn't satisfied with the way m initial pick was turning out. The building itself was covered by the calendar and there really wasn't anything interesting in the area that wasn't covered up, so I was happy to find that some of my screenshots for the fashion show had better possibilities.
Just for the heck of it, I uploaded the initial unfinished one too. Feel free to use that one instead if you like it. I was just testing the positioning of the calendar and didn't write anything on it. I probably wont feature it in my signature either, but here it is for those of you who check this thread every month:
unfinished City Hall Calendar for May 2010
June's Calendar still has many possibilities. I want to do something that shows the new Ultra Mode and water reflections, but I need to find a notable picture-worthy spot first. It's also important that the calendar itself doesn't get in the way of the beauty of the picture, so it's going to be a tough one. Well, I have another month to find it.. and I'm open to suggestions! lol
See you all next time. Thanks! -
Yep, all arc progress was reset for everybody when the new arc came out.
The interesting thing about this is that if you already had the old arc started, and still had the "Protect the Time Capsule" mission... After you run the mission, you are not done, but are instead forced to run the new arc before you are finally awarded the cape. -
Quote:It might have been. However I started my account in October 2008 (5 months after I12) and I got the 2 extra slots so they were still being given out then.
Anyway, to back up Adeon, I can say that it does have 2 redeemed slots on my main server, and because I never really kept it active, it has not even reached it's 1st year Veteran yet, meaning.. it was given the initial 2 slots from i12, which was released back on May 20th, 2008.
Whether or not it still applies to new accounts today, I cannot be sure. i don't have any other more recent accounts to verify with. -
Yep, there is a slider in the Options:
General Tab > Miscellaneous
I keep it at 20%, which brings the wait to about 1 second, which is still quick enough to get a fast response, but not too quick to be annoying while clicking in the power tray. lol -
Quote:rofl. It's funny, but so true. What you need to do is /broadcast that you're only there for badges, and that you don't want to fight, and also please don't TP you into mobs, especially not Blue Ink Men as they're so hard to escape from.
Within a couple of minutes you'll have someone who'll make it their mission to find mobs of Blue Ink Men and TP you into them. Defeat a few of them, then let yourself be defeated by the rest, go to hospital, leave the safe area, and and complain loudly in /broadcast that the TPer is horrible and cheating and why can't they leave you alone - you'll get the Blue Ink Man Badge and some debt badge credit in no time.
The best part is when I am badge hunting at the same time as the person who is broadcasting "please don't hurt me". They put a target on themselves and I seem to be left alone. I watch them complaining and simply "LoL". -
The extra slots are given for every year of membership. That means we should have had one for 12, 24, 36, 48, 60, and 72.
and yes, we were also given 2 free ones when the feature was added in i12.
Quote:That's not necessarily true. Last year, one of my toons was upgraded to Veteran status of 48, and my account was only at 33 at the time. I was granted the 2 free character slots for 36 and 48 anyway. Only the ONE toon was affected by the badges, but my account was given those global rewards. If only one character has the extra badges, it shouldn't be giving you any slots to worry about loosing.
I did not receive any new slot when my account officially hit 36, and I don't expect to get a new one when I officially hit 48 in a few months either.. because they were already awarded to me. -
Well I'm not saying it actually is a hardware problem, but it's a possibility. Some minor defects in cards could take some time before they eventually show up visually... or incorrect power/cooling has caused slight damage over the past year that eventually led to a problem. I don't see any obvious problems with your setup from the information you have given so far, but another person might, so it's worth waiting for the 2nd and 3rd opinions. lol
I can't see information from a "HiJack This" report having much impact on this behavior, but it might be worth running that and posting it as well so other people can look for an issue there too. You never know.
Did you try the "/reloadgfx" command yet? How did it work out? -
Nothing is immediately jumping out at me, but I do have a suggestion..
Instead of resetting your graphic preferences every time, have you tried /reloadgfx? That might reset/fix it for you without bothering your settings at all. You can even bind it to a key for quick access if it becomes a big problem.
On a side note, that type of behavior doesn't sound good. It seems like a hardware failure/problem, but if that's the only location that gives you a problem, that's a bit odd indeed. -
Quote:ROFL, well I couldn't imagine anybody casually wearing them around town or anything. I don't do necklaces either anyway.I'm not much for neckwear so I gave it to my kids, 2 minutes later they broke it.
My girlfriend loves hers and brought it to work to display on her desk/office at Boston University.
No kids here (yet), but when I hung mine off a handle of my own desk, my cat went crazy for it. haha -
doh! I work until 9pm (Eastern) every other Tuesday night and completely forgot about this. I spent too much time in the other parts of the forum when I got home before getting down to the Server activites or I would have made it on time.
Well, I'll be there for Citadel next week for sure.
Hope you all are having fun and see you next week! -
A mission will stay intact as long as at least one member of the team running it is still online.
It follows that a mission will completely dissolve and reset as soon as the last person logs off (or DCs).
We used to use this mechanic on purpose during TFs if a mission became too hard. We'd simply change the difficulty and have everybody on the team relog at the same time to force the reset. Then, a solo or duo team would load the mission before everybody else finished logging in. (This of course is a wildly outdated tactic now that the spawning does not change for teammates that are logged off and difficulty does not currently affect TFs. lol)
Yes, it sucks when it happens while solo. One time I even did it to myself on accident. After a long mission, somebody on a Global channel needed help with trading an item on the other side, so I relogged real quick to help them. I originally only had the final 2 rooms left after already clearing out the long hallways and other side rooms of the warehouse. I came back to a reset mission. I facepalm'd when I realized what I did. lol -
Providing you have ToolTips enabled, you can simply open your Target window and mouseover the HP bar. Not only will it tell you the HP/End the foe started with, it tells you how much it has remaining as well. I usually keep my "ToolTip Delay" turned down specifically for this feature. It's helpful to see when a main boss is about to hit a specific hp% value for ambush reasons (for example).
You can also use the Power Analyzer Mk I/II/III powers and the Combat Attributes window to see the specific value also, as well as a lot of other information about the foe. -
Quote:Hmm. I never considered that there could be an internal cap on that zone's ambushes. I don't really recall any pre-lvl10 ambushes though. I'm sure I could be missing one.Not entirely true. You can get an ambush there up until level 10, I believe the cap is. This was on a low-level character, with a couple of Hellions popping up and coming right for me. It was at least a few years back, though.
If that code really exists, it would make sense to simply add a lvl 30 cap to Talos (for example) so people don't get the lvl 45-50s standing around waiting for somebody the wrong lvl to walk by. I don't mind one way or the other, but at least it would add more consistency to the game. -
Quote:Being killed by another player does not produce debt.First, Thanks for the replies and quick direction.
Second, PvP may not be my cup of tea, but Death = Debt and that's just another Badge!
Anyway, I also got my Blue Ink Gladiator from Siren's Call. While I was there, I also grabbed Warrior Bosses (Elite) in the NE corner. I know they can easily be found in other places and inside missions with the new settings, but they are in large quantities and I don't mind hanging out in PvP zones (even though I don't really PvP either). lol
That whole NE region is also good for Sorcerers, Ancestor Spirits and Sky Skiffs. If you don't mind hanging out in a PvP zone, you can just plow through everything around the block over and over again for badges. You have to spend 5 hours there for another badge anyway, so might as well do something. -
That must have been a long time ago. IIRC, things were changed to disallow ambushes in Atlas now. If you start or finish a mission that sends an ambush after you, the ambush will wait until you move to another valid zone.
-
The larger the team, the more foes there are.
The more foes there are, the more targets she has to run between.
The more targets she runs between, the more trouble she gets herself into.
Honestly, I don't mind missions like that. I don't think everything should be easy. It keeps you on your toes. -
Quote:We ended up stealthing through as well, but we ran into PP MoG-phail a couple of times and it slowed us down a little toward the end and we finished right after you did.Team steamroll did stealth this week... heck, even turned off all those spiffy agro auras!
Nice job everybody! It went very smooth and there were NO deaths at all! -
Quote:Maybe you misunderstood (or i did, i dunno). I took it the other way around. He didn't initially mention the months, just the days of the month, implying (to me) that he didn't understand why the time of the month would be offset for those 2 cycles. It sounded to me like Chad assumed the account should have expired on the 26th to match a monthly trend. That's all irrelevant as well. Chad seems to be confused how someone could get a veteran badge in September when their account expired in November... *cough*
One could easily assume that if you are paying monthly, that you would earn a monthly award at the end of a pay cycle and not have a difference of 13 to 26, so I went on to say that's not how the system actually works.
Regardless of all that, I estimate the OP should have received the reward a week ago:
Sep 26 to Nov 15 is 50 days.
Using 90 days as a rough requirement for a veteran reward, that leaves 40 days remaining.
Feb 10 + 40 days = March 22.
They are submitting a ticket to figure out what's going on and hopefully the issue will be fixed soon. -
Quote:The OP of the thread lists which ones they are by event:Oh! Crap! I totally forgot:
My girlfriend didn't have any pockets in her dress, so she had me hold on to her costume code card for her. What I didn't realize was, the cards don't have anything on them to tell you what they are. o_o
I've got one with Tyrant and one with Desdemona. How can we determine which is which? Mine was a Praetorian Clockwork card and hers was a Knives of Artemis card.
Quote:* Carnival of Shadows Harlequin (Hero-Con 2008)
* Freakshow Tank Boss (Comic-Con 2008)
* Paragon Police Department Hardsuit (PAX 2008)
* Carnival of Shadows Ring Mistress (PAX 2009)
* Knives of Artemis Lt. (Comic-Con 2009)
* Praetorian Clockwork (Hero-Con 2009)
As Paragon said, ComicCon 2009 is Desdemona.
I'll assume HeroCon 2009 was Tyrant. -
I never said it wasn't. I was just trying to explain to Chad why the veteran dates and payment dates are not always the same time of the month. Whether or not the OP meant the account expired exactly on that day, or that they simply let time expire at that point.. or how it affects his current badge is all irrelevant to my post.
-
Quote:Veteran time includes the free 2 week trial and any free time awarded for referring friends and/or inviting them back. It's very possible (and quite common) for your payment cycle not to match up with the veteran rewards.I'm a little confused as to how your account lapsed on the 15th while you were earning rewards on the 26th
For example, my account was created on Jun 13, 2006 and most of my Veteran rewards have been awarded within a week of the 13th, even though my billing cycle is on the 24th due to various free time that has been added over the years. -
Quote:Yep, Razer logo and link to the website: www.razerzone.comNaw, they were little green-glowing necklaces with... I think the Razer logo on 'em? I forget. >_>

There are many choices, but here's my personal favorite...
Antec Nine Hundred / Two
and if that's not enough room for you...
Antec Twelve Hundred
Built for gaming and cooling in mind, and look nice too. They even come with a nice pricetag. -
Quote:I think it actually happens a lot, but since Snipers don't usually move, they get left behind and you don't notice it as much. It's more noticeable inside missions when you have to "defeat all", and you go back and see one or two in the hallway, similar to how the Cimeroran Surgeons in ambushes usually don't move until the rest of the mob is defeated also. During the ITF, you'd kill an ambush mob, and then a lone surgeon makes his way down the hill at you, lol.I have been attacked inside WWs by an ambush before - but it wasn't by the enemies (Nemesis) coming into the building...
It is also the only time I can recall a SNIPER being part of an ambush.
Now that I think of it, was that a bug, or does that happen on occasion? -
Sometimes that can happen when you switch to SuperGroup Badges while viewing a different category and then switch to "Most Recent".
Basically, "Most Recent" is not actually a valid category while viewing SuperGroup Badges, so the result can be (but is not always) a mess.
Switch back to Personal Badges and it should fix itself, and/or relog after doing so.
