    Simply because of the name and even 1 costume similarity... but as mentioned above, you probably could have appealed and got it back. You would have had to re-make your costume though.

    Regardless, that's the name you didn't like, so it doesn't really matter. Good luck with your new toon.

    My main, Master-Blade was generic'd a week ago (after almost 4 years). Supposedly it was just because he wears sunglasses and has Blade in his name. They reversed it for me 15 minutes after I found out about it and explained that it made no sense and that he didn't even look like Blade (picture in Avatar).

    They might not be so forgiving in the OP's case. He'd have the name AND the look. But yes, you can certainly appeal it, but here's a warning.. even if they reverse a name for you, they do NOT fix the costume slots, so make sure you save a copy somewhere.

    You are right, that would be the correct spelling of it, but either way...

    Wouldn't using Spectre possibly get him Generic'd? He looks kinda similar to The Spectre.
  7. Are you sure your -project coh shortcut isn't accidentally pointing to a second copy of an non-updated client and/or the test client instead of Live?

    To be fair, those are still found in the Tights category, and simply default to use the skin color. I doubt they would create a "Bare Chest" option for a female, and Tiger would "expose" too much as well if it weren't for using Tights. That's probably why you can't do it.

    Sounds to me like the real issue here is that the costumes and skin use different color pallets and you have a harder time getting them to exactly match. Even if you could, you probably still wont get a detailed skin texture for the Female as you can for the Male, so it would end up looking almost the same as it does now. If you want them to match, you'll have to change the male.
  9. From the text of that message, it looks like the standard response to a /bug report, not a /petition. Like the message states, send in another /petition for direct assistance.

    Make sure you include something like "Please help me recover my missing items". I hope that works out better for you.

    But before you do:
    Click that box in the lower-right corner of that window.
    You might have accidentally selected "Recipes missing ingredients".

    If you uncheck it, they will probably show up for you again. I don't think anything is really missing.

    Indeed. It works out quite well. After taking care of the 8 that spawn from your first overload, you only need to pull a couple more over to it for another overload. It makes the job much faster.

    If you are badge hunting (and not just going after the Born in Battle accolade), you still need 100 for the Spectral badge.

    I don't know of those requirements ever changing.

    I just checked the Wiki article, and the last requirement change for the Pirate badge was way back in August 2006 from 50 to 10. It doesn't look like there were any changes to the Spectral badge.

    I agree. I don't think they'd use exact copies of a pool for the ATs coming over either. Change a few numbers and swap a couple powers here and there.

    Luck? I thought it was a set number that fill a trap and make it spawn a few extra Bosses. Am I remembering it wrong? It's been a while.

    I went out there to check it out this evening, and it seemed that magic number was just over 10 before it overloaded. That's when it spawned 8 more of them for me to kill (4 LT, 3 Boss, 1 Elite). Results may vary.

    Also, I couldn't help but notice that if I killed more than one at the exact same time, only ONE of them went into the trap. I still got badge credit for every one that I killed within range, but I'm not sure if the others counted toward filling the trap for the overload.

    Then I decided to do some digging and found this page on the Wiki:

    It wasn't very hard to complete this tonight. Even on a higher level toon, you can agro them with your Origin Power (Taser Dart in my case), then run PAST the trap. They do have ranged powers, so if you stand about the distance of their range away from the trap, they will stop near the trap where you can just 1-shot them dead. Even if that doesn't work for you, they will often come up to you for 1 melee shot as well before running away, so wait at the trap and hit them quick before they run/fly back out of range. The Origin Power was enough even to drag them from the neighboring areas, allowing me to fill the trap over and over again and get quick overloads.
  13. those playernote.txt files can be kinda tricky, and sometimes corrupted to show wrong information. Check your CoH's /account_name/ directory for it and edit/fix it from there.

    I don't see how that is any different than the Male model.. the male model does not even have a Skin option. They are all tights except for the specific Tattooed/Bare Chest, which doesn't accept any secondary pattern either.

    To make a tiger, you simply pick a similar skin color* as your primary Tiger color. I think I have 3 female Tiger toons that look just fine. They even have costumes that have jackets, roman gear, and still have the stripes underneath.

    *even if your color is slightly off, you can simply use the cat collar shoulder option and it masks the neck line so you wont notice.

    Unless of course they do something silly and make you earn 10 "morality points" from a radio-style repeatable mission/arc/tf to switch to the other side, and maybe only allow you to get 1 point per 24 hour period.

    I believe this came up before. For PvP purposes, Vigilantes are Heroes and Rogues are Villains. As for whether or not the Rogues would be able to enter through Atlas.. I doubt it.
  18. People have been reporting issues with the Online Store lately.

    Another reason could be your 30-Day Purchase Limit option in your NCSoft Billing is set too low.

    There are also Online Code Purchase Limits which restrict the number of codes that can be purchased per household or credit card within a certain timeframe.

    In short: Wait until tomorrow and try again.

    It turns out the powexecSLOT command can be used in a macro to reference another macro, so there could be another way to do it:
    Using the previous example of the first tray, tray 9 could then include:
    (9) Dwf "goto_tray 1$$powexecslot 9 "

    That DOES work to switch to tray one, then runs the macro that is in slot 9 which will turn on Dwarf and go immediately to tray 8. HOWEVER, then you run the risk of a bug possibly causing a problem for you in the future (unless it's been fixed). For some people, for reasons unknown, anything after the goto_tray command is sometimes truncated after zoning/relogging, so...

    TL;DR:
    It might be easier to just create another duplicate macro, but it CAN have the same name if you want.

    I think they should nerf the badges that at least would keep people going.

    Or maybe cap the prices of purples to like 25 mill so people could get them there are so many things they could do at this point to make it easier.

    Copying Macros

    You can have multiple macro buttons with the same name, but I don't know of a way to copy them without running the command to create it again.

    Edit:
    Forget the quote below. The slash command powexectray can certainly reference any powerslot, even if there is a macro in the slot, but apparently that command can not be used in a macro to reference another macro. It can be used to reference a slot with a power in it though.

    I originally tested the slash command to make sure it worked, but once it moved it to an actual macro button, it did nothing. I can see how it could be exploited by chaining multiple macros if it were allowed. Well, it was a good theory until I tested it fully anyway. lol

    Not removing original post, just to show that this method does NOT work:

    I found a story flaw in their advertising though...
    The E-bay info explains what they had to go through to get the card and links to the YouTube video.
    But the girl in the video took the card, not the guys with the camera, and she didn't seem to have much trouble at all.

    Sure, story-wise, anybody could have taken the camera and posted the video, but...

    On the YouTube page, the info implies that one of the guys posted the video, meaning the person who posted the video and the person who has the card cannot be the same person, so why would the Ebay link to the video? No logical sense there.

    Also, the YouTube info asks people "If you have any information please let me know." (about the whereabouts of his friend), but then goes on to say " This video is part one. I'm uploading the second part in a few days."

    If your friend was gone, wouldn't you just upload it as 1 part, or upload both parts at the same time? Why wait a few days? Definitely sounds like one of those illogical things people in movies would do. rofl
