It really depends on what's fun to you. Do you want to buff, debuff, a bit of both?
Personally I would say traps is the most fun, I also like poison, TA and dark. I dont think I could play forcefield though, not really enough action for my tastes. -
Is it too early to say "Looks like its going to be a good year for pvp changes?".
-
Scratch that. Just had a look and it seems to be far more trouble than its worth. Guess I'll try something else interesting with an IO'd MM instead.
-
Hmm. Well it might be fun to see how close I can get anyway. Thanks for the response :O)
-
Not a huge IO expert so has anyone tried this? Is it even possible?
-
Hmm. Sounds like my group flying PVP mastermind will be more trouble than I expected :S
-
Oh! Is this still going? *trundles off to find a photo of Noddy Holder* :O)

Not sure about the actual numbers but I certainly find genin useful to keep around. If nothing else you get more out of bodyguard mode (let us know if you dont know what bodyguard mode is). Plus they throw caltrops and at the end of the day the damage all adds up.
Ninja's tend to be a bit fast and crazy but I like that sort of thing :O)
Oh, and IMO its worth picking up aid other from the medicine pool. -
I dont believe it!

On the bright side, WP might be fun against a thug MM and his gang war

if a casual player does start to feel depressed, they can leave and come back when there isn't as much PvP action going on in the zone.
[/ QUOTE ]
By casual players do you mean ones who cant get a team because they arent part of a certain circle of players? I know its frustrating to try and find a team and all the players capable of teaming with you decide its more fun just to farm you until you leave. In warburg anyway, every other zone at least you only have the opposing side to worry about. -
I'l be there now all the festivities have died down

Again happy birthday fella
On a Grav/Psi Dominator, the above advice is goodBasically you'll be holding two foes with the single target hold, using lift on the foe your not using your secondary powers on. I'd perhaps have Air Sup in there for added control and have TK Thrust from the secondary for the same purpose. Damage levels are low early on, at least till Psi Scream (and it would need heavy slotting assuming you take a 50/50 power in terms of being good) or Subdue at 28. May as well make it safer with Air Sup/TK Thrust

Thankers muchers!
I'm sure we teamed with a grav/something who took as many kb powers she could her hands on to perma juggle enemies :O) -

I find the aoe hold handy for getting 2 holds on a boss right away but, as you can see, some people disagree.
Since you are playing grav you will prolly want lift to take an enemy out the fight for a few seconds. You will also want to team with 7 patsys so you can build domination quicker :P -

And doesn't tend to go in for the whole 'Mass of traps at a choke point' thing unless the situation *really* calls for it...

I dont think such a strategy is called needed all that often either. -
Think its just a case of hoping there is room CS.

That thread is too long but from what i can gather Stalkers might get a higher damage modifier from AS the higher ranked foe that they attack, making them a lot more useful against AVs etc and more desirable for pve teams. Correct?
[/ QUOTE ]
Yeah, I think you really only need to read the linked post, and the 1st post in that linked thread. Basically some sort of AS that scales against enemy type all the way up to AV level. -
Looks to me like stalkers might get a buff.
-
Thursday or Friday suits be, could make wednesday as well prolly.
Edit.. Oops. Wed, or Fri might be the better days -

We had some good fights going on yesterday. -
Traps can be fun (and sometimes powerful) as long as you dont expect an easy ride of it. Its worth teaming and shadowing any MM's in the zone since both of you prolly wont want to be moving around too much. Its also worth spending a little time looking for scenery which works to your advantage, like the big crate things on the sirens call oil rigs.

i dont disagree but i think maybe your thinking from a pve point of view im talking about pvp and i still see no need for a stalker to have any def after they come out of hide ,they kill in 2 shots or sometimes 3 then 5 seconds later they back into hide so theres a window of maybe 7 or 8 seconds and on top of that they got defence , there mitigation is getting to pick there targets and attacking from hide with the biggest attack in the game , i still dont see why they get a def buff aswell
[/ QUOTE ]
Against a soft and unprepared target, if I'm careful my kin defender can often heal off the stalker after an AS. Plus PVE trumps pvp as far as the devs are concerned so I wouldnt be surprised if stalkers got a bit of a survivability boost at some point. Does this happen all the time? Maybe the guy just chugged a cowload of purples. -
[ QUOTE ]
why should they get any defence after using AS ? they for hit and run , again on a blaster you get no defence yet they manage, also they got placate a blaster has 1 hold and still has to manage without defence
[/ QUOTE ]
Blaster can get a certain amount of "active defence" by attacking from range, most stalkers cant really do that, they need a little more scapability since the vast majority of there attacks are melee and they have even less hp than a blaster. -
I dont think this is an unusual way to play a dominator anyway but good luck. You might also want to think about using the strategy of building domination through ranged attacks before you worry too much about controlling (except for things like TK and terrify which are almost always good).
