Scraptrollers

I was thinking about "blappers". If there are blappers, why cant be, Scraptrollers? I mean, a dominator focused on pvp power and damage.

I thougt this cause my domi is a psy/energy and everybody says nrg sucks. So I was planning and comparing powersets, and found that the "good" thing of nrg is powerboost and the damage of melee attacks.

So I planned with the outcoming free respec to try a focused melee dominator.
The idea is you put here your builds or ideas of what a scrapptroller can be (no need to use the same pools of course).

**********
My option:

Use the control powers in long range, while you load domination, and when the target is vulnerable, then strike trying to get the max DPS
what about breakfree? - once you load up domination you will be abble to fight anything, cause with power boost you will get larger mezzes, yes, but, also, and important, boost to your defense skills. And can stay in front of a opponent facing the hits while doing massive damage.
This is more about pvp, cause you need some holds stacked to get a scrapper or tank, and a spines scrapper could impale and strike you easily while this, so you = dead.

On Pve was planning to increase surviving rate not depending on your control over mobs to stay alive, and a lot of damage per second to unleash with domination.

I dont think this is an unusual way to play a dominator anyway but good luck. You might also want to think about using the strategy of building domination through ranged attacks before you worry too much about controlling (except for things like TK and terrify which are almost always good).

I know is not the usual way, cause this I posted! I will not post what the usual doms do... just trying to get fun and get new ideas.

I think he meant the opposite...it's not totally rare I mean. Your build is actually kinda close to my melee brawling Grav/Energy dominator.

If I were you, I'd actually take Mesmerize over Levitate...being a Melee Dom means that you want to be able to sleep/hold/Fear something so you can deal with the enemy you didn't sleep/hold/fear. I do a lot of switching targets and chances are your sleep will keep them from attacking you longer than Levitating them. Plus it's psi damage and not Smashing damage, which is always keen.

I'd also ditch the Maneuvers and just take Tough/Weave right after one another...Weave's payout is a lot better than Maneuvers and the earlier the better. The other change is that I would take Hasten-Super SPeed instead of the Jumping pool...Acrobatics would be nice but since you're not getting it until...forever, the hasten will help you get Domination back faster. Which is vital to a melee toggle-using Dom. And getting Whirlwind, while not the greatest power, is always a good melee panic button..particularly now that it takes Chance for Damage IO's.
Of course, that's just my 2 cents.

I would think that they were just a little bit too fragile, there is also not enough damage out-put there either. But good luck to you.

you think that all this melee attacks with domination dont do enought damage? also if we dont got damage, what we got front trollers? I put lot of defense to stand in a fight cause almost all powers use smashing/letal it gets really dif to hit, so we are fragile but hard to hit, and as I said, with power boost you REALLY increases your defense cause it boost all your defense buffs, so not only mezzes etc... Didnt test already, just idea and want to see what you think about and post yours.

Great! perhaps you can post it

btw I didn't finished it, I will update it. I was thinking to quit leadership and put speed for hasten, also, modify confusion and put sleep that also does damage.

Thanks all for your comments and suggestions.
