Panthro looks more like a Thunder Gorilla.
And Cynical Gamer. You are dead to me. Nay, you have gone beyond dead. You are undead. A rotting shambling corpse with the temerity to disparage Bruce Timm's work. -
Try turning off Vidalia, Tor and Polipo. There is a chance they are keeping the server from seeing your system.

I like the show but I can't help wonder if the writers or director are deliberately making the heroes so bland. Seriously I love the villains. They have personality and charisma to spare. But the good guys? I have to fight to keep from fast forwarding through their scenes. Even Summer and that disturbs me.

I just worry about the possibility of Jack LaLanne deciding to possess somebody. After all if he did what are they going to do? Exercise him?
(Yes I know it's exorcise but if I spell it that way the joke won't be obvious. Maybe I should have saved that one for a Punday contest.) -
The Westworld remake should be great. Nothing could possibly go worng.

It's the Human Torch but he doesn't really die. He travels back in time and becomes Captain America the First Avenger.

Forget the Coming Storm. Forget the Praetorian invasion. Forget more incarnate abilities. I want to know when BRB is coming.

If you are playing the game for content it can take a lot longer than if you are playing just to level. I myself prefer playing for content so it takes me months to get to 50 what with altitis and such. And just so you know levels 1-10 are blindingly fast if you are in a team. The twenties go by fast too. But at about level 40 you will seem to hit a wall. I would say if you aren't running task forces then it takes as long from 40 to 50 as it takes from 1 to 40.

Welcome Tavid. I suspect you wound up on a really low population server. You probably did this by selecting the first server in the list.
Here is how the servers are listed. If you have not played before then the server under the least load and most likely the least populated is at the top of the list. The server at the bottom of the list is the one under the most load and most likely the most populated. And the ones in between range from top to bottom in order of current load.
If you have played before then the last server you were on will always be at the top of the list but the remaining servers will still be in order from lowest load to highest.
Currently you will also be seeing less players in all low level zones because special added level 50 content was just added. So many of the players are playing their high level alts to try out the content.
But as has been said by others. Just try Freedom or Virtue and you are sure to find people to group with. -
Quote:Before you commit to buying this game play it with a trial. Despite having been around for years the graphics engine on this game has been upgraded recently and the minimum and suggested requirements are pretty much a match for DCUO. It's possible that the requirements to achieve maximum settings actually are greater than those of DCUO.Hi guys Just wanted to know if this game is dead or not i know DC universe just came out but my computer sucks and i cant run it. Im sick of WOW and Guild wars and I just cant get into eve online so am i still goin to be able to find groups to run with and all?

When I upgraded to my current monitor (1680 x 1050) from a much lower resolution I noticed a minor change. Perhaps 5fps and that was with my old video card an 8800gt and all settings maxed pre ultramode.
Minor changes in my um settings affect my performance much more with my current gtx 460. -
Aw geeze. I bet I know exactly what he is complaining about and it's probably the one thing I liked most about the pic. Several of the characters are actually in yellow and blue costumes. I absolutely hate that in the X franchise they insist on sticking everybody in black leather. The FF have their blue and white costumes. Spidey has his red and blue. But the X-Men are all stuck in black leather. I was hoping for some color and I'm now betting I'll be disappointed.

I think you should focus on catgirls and dancing. Nothing but catgirls and dancing both in Paragon and Praetoria. And Bobcat's cleavage since that is a primary part of catgirl lore.

Honestly from the wording of the original post it sounds like Twoheadedboy doesn't know about the mini map.
So thb. Either do like Arbegla said and hit m to open your mini map or else click on the word "map" at the bottom of your compass. -
I can answer question number 1. I worked with a person who was convinced that his monitor was his computer and his tower case was his hard drive. And another who when told he had to increase the ram in his system (he was trying to run win7 on half a gig) installed another hard drive because that is where your memory is.
Some people are just completely clueless when it comes to tech and will refer to something technical as a chip, data, drive or whatever else pops into their head at the moment. In other words Roy is completely techno clueless but just like any other person in an authority figure job he tries to sound like he knows it all. -
Quote:CoH is about the only thing I get to do to relax anymore.
It's cathartic after a crappy day at work to log into one of my scrappers and just beat the snot out of things for a little while. I don't really have time to make progress, so it's not what I focus on doing. For the amount of time I play for, it lets me forget the crap I have to deal with on a daily basis and just.....chill.
I used to play a lot more than I do now. In fact, there were times I'd spend most of my day logged in. Since I can't do that anymore, I stopped focusing on the rewards I was getting and started focusing on just doing whatever sounds like fun when I log in. I still gain levels, and get shards and the occasional nice drop. But I'm not playing to get those things, they're just nice bonuses to my real goal of relaxing and not worrying about real life for a while. If I stressed about how fast I was getting those rewards, it would completely defeat the purpose of me playing.
Maybe when I have more spare time to play rewards will be more important to me, but for now I couldn't care less about them.
This is how I play. And it's also why I have pretty much stopped doing all TFs even though I used to enjoy them immensely. All anybody wants to do these days is rush through them as quickly and effectively as possible without bothering to actually experience the content. -

Quote:And if you've done all the Faultline missions you've already seen that exact same episode on a big screen television in one of the missions. That TV sucks. All they ever show is "Everyone Loves Reclusie", 24-7.
You've probably also already seen the thorn tree in one of the hero missions. And the half sunken ship. In fact pretty much every really cool bit of architecture has been ported over to some blue side mission. I would say the couple of different things worth seeing are the abyss and Grandville.
Honestly I find most of the sights dreary and depressing in the isles. Yes the textures are more complex but it's all run down. It's like driving through a slum and being expected to ooh and ah over the fact that there are rusty cans in overgrown front yards. -
I'm glad that's all it was. There was probably some program or driver conflicting and causing the symptoms. So start keeping track as you reinstall stuff that you were using before. That way if it happens again you will know the culprit right away and can warn others.

These rewards suck. I am never going to use them. They are about as useful as boxing gloves or discounts on costume fees.
Ok, not really. I think they are both awesome. The problem is that we already had the requisite complaints that they should be available to everybody and it wasn't fair that only people who had played forever get them. The one thing missing was having a long time vet complain that they were useless. I kind of felt like I was in the Praetorian forums or something.
"All hail the gifts of Cole"
"Woe unto those who have to wait to become worthy of these gifts." -
The series is ok but one thing does bug me about it. It was made very clear that these heroes and villains have no super powers. Some have nifty gadgets. Some have maximized human potential due to genetics and training. But none have mutant or mystical or otherwise superhuman powers.
But by the third episode the cape is already able to constrict like a snake, and rip a closed door off a car.
It's nit picking but I hate it when a series about heroes doesn't stick to a continuity. It s something that wouldn't be allowed (or would be held to a minimum) in any other genre of show. House isn't suddenly going to start doing parkour and Castle isn't suddenly going to start using a gun with bullets that can curve around corners. But those kind of changes without regard to continuity or common sense are considered standard for superhero shows.
It's no wonder they aren't taken seriously and can't hold an audience. -
Not as good as Better off Ted but still very funny.
On the other hand Community hasn't been canceled.
Curse you ABC!!! -
So far as I know every single idle stance can be duplicated with an emote command so yes you can choose what your character does when idle and once in that emote stance they will remain there. I use /e akimbo all the time for costume contests. Now if you are talking about setting up a chain of chosen actions that's a bit different.

First off Maribelle let me say I'm impressed. It's nice to for a change see somebody who has already tried all the standard solutions and run all the diagnostic programs. Your Hijackthis and CoH helper logs look fine. Your audio drivers are out of date but that's not likely to be causing the problem.
I would say one of two possibilities. Either video card dying or power supply dying. I'm leaning towards power supply because a sudden drop in voltage to the video card would pretty much cause the exact symptom you are seeing.
