Jeffster Jeffster Jeffster...what are we going to do with you two idiots?

Show of hands...who didn't see that twist coming?

I think most people did, given beckman's insistence on sarah doing the drop and sarah's talk with her prior.

Worth it for Sara in black leather catsuit next week.

The twist at the end of this episode was a bit disappointing, but we all knew something like that was coming.

On a whole, the episode felt off to me. The story was blah, with the only interesting part being Jeffster performing Is This Love. And then, just when the shipper in me thought Chuck was finally going to propose to Sarah, BLAM! Plot twist! Casey's role in last night's episode was great, IMO. He's really growing as a character, and you can see how he's been warming up to Chuck since season 1, and becoming a friend and not just an associate.

idk, just my 2 inf.

The thing I always liked about Chuck is they allowed the story to move forward and the characters to change. Unfortunately they've chosen to milk the whole "will they or won't they" far too long.

"Oh look they are finally going to be a happy couple, now let's go do some cool spy stuff."

"Not so fast you two." Wawk Wawk Wahhhhh.

At least this time it makes some amount of sense - Chuck would always have one last tether to the darker side of the spy world if his mom is still out there with Volkov, so Sarah wants to remove that obstacle.

Still watching it on hulu, but I kind of wish they'd taken the whole Court Jester 'pellet with the poison' riff a little bit further. Mostly because that bit's just kind of awesome.

It probably did go longer but ended up edited down for time. Also how many people watching Chuck remember old Danny Kaye movies?

Unfortunately probably less of them than actually should. There's some really fun old movies out there.

Oh man, Danny Kaye was awesome. I remember The Inspector General pretty well, not so much his other movies. So yes, I remember at least 1 old Danny Kaye movie.

they're not doing it nearly as badly as some other shows have done it. and while there are moments of stupidity between the two of them, they've already gotten to the point after 4 seasons where the nerd's got the girl and has become a spy. so doing the rough waters bit from time to time makes sense, and given the tone of the episode, it;s not as if she was going to say no.

Chuck has nothing on Maison Ikkoku when it comes to "will they or won't they" due to assumptions, miscommunications and outright sabotage.

You, sir, need a serious enhancement to your education. Danny Kaye was one of those very rare, unique talents who could do it all. Sing, dance, comedy, drama. He was most famous as a comic actor and a song & dance man, but he was also a wonderful nightclub performer as well. Most of his famous songs were written by his wife. He hosted a variety TV show in the 60's.

Inspector General, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, Hans Christian Andersen, The Court Jester (with Basil Rathbone and a young and beautiful Angela Lansbury) and White Christmas (with Bing Crosby, Rosemary Clooney, Vera Allen) are all classic films that everyone should see.

Wonder Man, The Five Pennies and The Man from Diner's Club are also great.

I remember seeing Danny Kaye in an episode of the 80's revival of The Twilight Zone that was just amazing as a fantasy/reality/drama, called "Paladin of the Lost Hour." His last performances were as the Dentist in a few episodes of "The Cosby Show." There are very few performers who have the talent and versatility of Danny Kaye. (As a kid growing up, two of my mother's favorite record albums were Danny Kaye recordings, so I have a special fondness for him.)

(I loved the throwback to the Vessel with the Pestle in Chuck.)

LOCAL MAN! The most famous hero of all. There are more newspaper stories about me than anyone else. "Local Man wins Medal of Honor." "Local Man opens Animal Shelter." "Local Man Charged with..." (Um, forget about that one.)

It's all the time though. And before people start getting all defensive that a non fan is coming into a thread about a beloved show and trashing it. I'm one of you. I love this show and have since episode 1. I still love this show......lots. But they need to move on. It's the Chuck way of doing things.

My mom loved Danny Kaye as well, and I can appreciate your personal fondness for him. I'm definitely going to see more of his films!

I liked this episode, not one of the best ones but it's their first one back from a long break and they are setting things up. I thought it was charming for the most part but the whole Lester in Love thing just felt shoe horned in. I like the buy more antics but sometimes they put them in just as filler it feels.
