Adding my support to this preference:
Something "rehashed" like Melee/Support or Assault (or Ranged)/Defense [Note: I want these so very badly!]: 1200 PPs
Something "New" like Shapeshifter, Rikti, Power Armor, Vanguard Assault, etc.: 1600 PPs
Also, I'd rather have Melee/Debuff and Assault (or ranged)/Defense first over any "new" ones. -
I'd pay 400 PP for new animation sets per power set. I'm a terrible, terrible altoholic and more than that would break me.

Quote:Now that you mention it, his left claw-hand is pulled back very far away from the Earth yet the nimbus around his far away hand is ... in front of the Earth. Huh. (Altering perspective is fun!)please tell me that purple energy around his left hand is a joke, you have a awesome picture here...then something that looks like it was slapped on in paint...
Can't wait to get home from wor .... uh, from where I'm at posting this message, and play the last of this arc. It looks amazing! -
Depends on what you mean by 'relaxing'.
For maximum relaxing, take a */Force Field Defender and team a lot. Note: Masterminds are not relaxing, and require constanct maintenance and attention to your pets. Much more so if you bump up your mission difficulty. You can get just as much "bang for your buck" combat-wise, and less stress/more relaxation, by taking an AoE-based melee Archetype.
For Solo relaxing time, I suggest a highly survivable character with decent attacks. In general, the highest survivability belongs to Tankers. Pick a Primary that has good single target and AoE attacks, like Fire Melee for instance, and a very survivable secondary, like Willpower or Super Reflexes (neither of which has clickies to worry about).
Hope that helps. -
I'm an amateur paleontologist as well and I can't add much to this topic other than:
1) Bob Bakker is odd and fun, he has a great hat, he's a decent sketch artist but his fiction is meh. He should allow more peer review of his theories.
2) Pterosaurs and Mososaurs, plesiosaurs, and their aquatic ilk were NOT dinosaurs. Only the terrestrial dudes fall into "dinosaur" category.
3) Theropods taste like chicken. (I know, I'm so old I was there)
PS: I want a dual-blades scrapper with T. Rex claws! -
The Crash of 2012 saved my marriage!

I thought the Blue Steel meme had its origins in the old mission where you find the body of the Clockwork King (his human body) - Blue Steel smashed him to a pulp, and of course the Clockwork King went on to get his new "body".
Plus, monsters hide under Blue Steel's bed because they're afraid of HIM. -
Statesman has no "package". Is this aside effect of the Well's power?
If so, I want to tender my resignation from the Incarnates club, while I still have one of my own.
(Personally, I hope he just tucks) -

Mimes.
Mimes fighting each other with imaginary rocket launchers.
Mimes fighting each other with imaginary rocket launchers in imaginary hot air balloons.
Oh, and stray alley-octopi, rabid and non-rabid varieties. -
Have you seen the ingredients required for the Valentine's Day Resurrection spell? You got them easy the first time, sure, but good luck finding duplicates of those items!
Also, Sister Psyche may have "mind ridden" her psyche into Manticore and is not actually dead yet. Part Seven of the "Who Will Die" arc may shed some light. Or not. -
Quote:NEW ON THE PARAGON MARKET!Hmm. Other project eh? A non-CoH project? I pay my $15 a month, you have to tell me what!
* "Learn Secret" Token: 1600 PP
When this token is used (one charge) you may learn any single secret Paragon studios is keeping. Results are rolled on a random chart with Common, Uncommon, Rare and Very Rare results!
-- And congrats guys! -
MUST: Rage, Knock Out Blow, Footstomp (A choice between Jab or Punch is mandatory). Any other attacks are good. If you pick up Boxing/Tough/Weave, the Boxing/Jab combo is great for building fury.
Get Leap Attack from the Leaping Pool!
Handclap on a Brute ... eh, for my it's been skippable.
Hurl is nice as well, but I usually skip it in favor of one of the Patron (Gloom and Dark Obliteration from Ghost widow!) Pools or Hero Ancilliary Pools (Fire Blast and Fire Ball).
Taunt: If you team a lot, you may find a good use for this. Also, if you have a secondary that works best when lots of enemies are around you but has a weak taunt-aura (like Willpower) Taunt may be useful solo.
In my experience, Brutes work best when they're drowning in enemies. Solo it's not too much of a problem to keep them around you. Teaming, invariably other characters will draw them away from you. You want them back. If you plan on teaming, there's something to be said for keeping enemies off of and away from your team mates. -

Quote:I have a theory, based only on hunches and no real evidence (therefore, this is Internet Fact). WE ARE BEING MESSED WITH. We're in a dream. Seriously, Akarist working with Portal Corp scientists? And for that matter, Malta attacking the Carnival of Shadows? Something or someone is messing with our perceptions this issue, making us see things and take actions we wouldn't normally do otherwise. None of these missions make much sense, and I present this theory as an explanation. Issue 7 will bring illumination ... I hope.
The second mission with Akarist was complete crap and nothing but filler. Nemesis had nothing to do with the plot (Which isn't to say that it wasn't his own Plot though, heheh), and the generals were shouting "We're gonna kill everyone!" basically, which... doesn't sound like something Nemesis would do without reason. So why were they there? Was it a distraction to keep us from noticing their theft of something? To draw eyes away from a crime on the other side of town? It makes no sense for Nemesis to just show up for a killing spree without any reason.
Quote:And yeah, why didn't Manticore just knock Psyche out?
I explained it away in my little brain this way (though I shouldn't have had to): Her powers were operating in super-charged overdrive. Consciousness allowed her to contain them. If she'd been rendered unconscious, her control would be gone, and her powers, now uncontrolled, would kill everyone on Earth. Besides death, there was no other way to turn them off. Sister Psyche knew this and that's why she potentially mind-controlled (or mind-ridden, as mentioned above) Manticore into shooting her. -
Quote:I did get some stuff I can use but I have no use for
67 Self Rez's
175 Unslotters
Tons of Inspirations
75 XP boosters
47 Prest boosters
Lots of Windfalls
If you let them clutter up your email and never use them, of course they'll never be useful! Start using them just to clear them out. If you're into the "upper level" Incarnate Trials, you can even use up those Self Rezes (MOM, I'm looking at you).
Actually, you should be able to use up all those rezes on MOM ... -
Quote:I have everything I want out of the Super Packs, I have 9 ATs outfitted with a complete set of ATOs (Thanks, Wentworths!)Hmm...Interesting. I think you will buy more Supergamble Packs in the future.
However, I'll still buy these things just for the Merits, Windfalls, the long-lasting inspirations and XP Boosters for my non-50s.
Any Catalysts that happen to drop I'll save until I have 6 and convert an entire ATO set to its purple version all at once.
And the long-long lasting Inspirations (dual and team) are AMAZING against certain Elite Bosses in missions, and vs AVs as well. (Off hand, I'm thinking the First Ouroboros Incarnate mission. These are GREAT for use against Trapdoor and Hero 1 and the other EBs. Makes for a really easy complete of that arc!)
For 80 points these packs are an investment with an occasional awesome shiny - definitely NOT a gamble! -
Yeah, I have to say that I'm not finding the "useless crap" from the Super packs entirely usless, or even crap for that matter.
Even the windfalls have a use! I realize they don't affect the incarnate component drop table, but I use them before I start iTrials to help with the random drops rolls of everything else. Seems to be working! (And besides, what better place is there to use them?)
... And all the Merits ... mwa-hahahahaha! -
I'd like to see ripped pants and the Outcast chest symbols ... a few of my many alts have their roots in that group and it would be awfully fun to have an "official" Outcast costume.
EDIT: Plus, put me down for the Ouroboros Menders costume parts! -
I'm just popping onto say how much I love, love, LOVE Megas XLR and how I miss it so very much.
I miss Coop's "final battle rant" every episode too.
Rest in peace, my favorite cartoon. Rest in peace. -
You mentioned you wanted ideas for a solo pertless mastermind, here's my advice:
I would suggest a secondary that would provide as many buffs and debuffs for your character as possible. /Dark or /Time might be good and fun tio try, I'd probably pick /Time.
When I run with a team of four or more that has a Mastermind(s), I prefer they don't have their pets out anyway. Pets are noisy, distracting and have a tendency to over-aggro. (It's difficult for a Mastermind to 100% on their game 100% of the time) Its always nice when a Mastermind stays back and does buffing/debuffing - maybe throwing out some attacks as he/she wants.
I definitely prefer teaming with a petless Mastermind.
Disclaimer: Masterminds are my lerast favorite AT to play. -
"D" makes me Squee.

Wow, a really rough choice.
Um ...
"A" -
B has some nice symmetry. (PS: That's a great [pick up line if anyone wants to use it).
