My 1st thought was scam as well, with the recent wave of Aion nonsense.
But I think this one might be legit. My RL buddy had to create an entire new account when he rejoined because he couldn't find some of that info for them to retrieve his old password.
They never ask for a password. They don't ask for the complete credit card number...
The phone # provided is indeed for NCSoft support.
Still, to be on the safe side, if your no longer having the issue just reply with
Issue resolved: Thanks. -
I'm with the rest of the crew when it comes to immersion.
On top of that I need the in-game sounds as audible warnings.
I mostly solo blasters and I need to hear when that Freak Tank rezzes behind me. Or when that Tsoo Sorc teleports etc etc.
Not to mention glowies. (Which isn't an issue anymore)
The only time I've listened to outside music while playing was years ago when I ran a Cape radio sponsored Synapse speed run. -

I refused to use Invuln for years due to the 'Rainbow Bright' color scheme it's toggles all use.
Now that we can alter or turn off the sparkly I've rolled a few up.
Pre Issue 16 I would've said Ivuln/Fire
Now I'd say.... Ivuln/Fire -
Man, why didn't we have this when I was a teen? That girls locker room had a freaking 12 foot wall but no ceiling... Well, the outdoor one at least.

When I 1st came here I was an internet noob. I lurked for weeks before I felt comfortable enough to post and even then the preview button was my best friend.
I would sit there and spell check and reread just to make sure it was the most eloquent thing every put on the 'Net.
I learned to avoid the 'Wall of text' phenomenon.
I learned how to ID trolls and others who just wanted to start arguments to make themselves feel powerful.
I grew a thicker skin and ultimately decided not to take myself so seriously.
With regards to you Lone Hero... Your like night and day to me.
I'll read a post of yours and think to myself 'Man, its refreshing to see an intelligent, well thought out and polite post. I like this guy, even if I've never heard of Kamen riders.'
Then I'll scroll down and read as your shoot yourself in the foot needlessly.
It's a defense mechanism ingrained in you from all those years/months spent elsewhere apparently.
My advice. Don't go anywhere, just relax a bit. I'd much rather have you around then someone like NetherGoat, who's sole purpose seems to be latching onto whatever everyone else is against at the moment and trumpeting it, even when it contradicts his own previous posts.
Or worse GG and her one sentencedrivel.

Or you could just get a large enough group together to gank all 3 of em once they've gathered in their corner.

I still blame Tabula Rasa for taking away our CuppaJo.

I was torn between the two. On the one hand I'd like to pre-purchase and get early access to Dual Pistols and Demon summoning, even though I won't play either for quite some time. It'd still like to be able and load up on launch day.
On the other hand I'd really like to have the updated game disc. As my original COH disc is the launch one and likewise for COV, that and my mousepad recently started to rip...
Looks like I'll be stopping by Gamestop this afternoon just to see if they've heard about it. -
Yeah, you'll have to clear that mission before she'll give you the next one.
Not sure if using the 'complete mission' option will work, since it's tied to an unlockable reward. -
He's the easiest GM to locate IMO. Since Dark Astoria is so seldom visited and when it is, it's usually by a solo player farming BP.
Add to that the fact that you can fly up and even if you don't see his eyes, as long as your in the vicinity of the graveyard TAB will generally land right on him 1st. -
We used to have a guy that would do that on a weekly basis. Even after being asked to stop by the manager. Numerous customers complained.
Then one day I came in and noticed he'd done it again. I almost didn't notice the gleam of sunlight reflecting off the homemade caltrops someone had wedged under both his back tires.
He parked in the truck parking from then on... -
I'd just be happy if they hired Dark_Respite to do a Going Rogue action teaser. Then have it run on G4 inbetween AOTS and X-Play.
Core Audience.
No Marvel or DC ad's running.
The exposure alone would generate buzz, and we all know buzz is a good thing!
How bout we elect to have the next two boosters revenue go straight into marketing? This would mean a smaller issue release down the line but may prove profitable if it gets our brand out to the masses of players who were to young in 2004 and haven't even heard about us. -
I support this idea!
I've often wanted to experience it without the players knowing I'm watching. So I can see what areas get bottlenecked/slammed through.
Making tiny adjustments to refine the arc would be so much easier with this feature.
Not sure about the technical restrictions though. -
I always skip level 3, 5 and 7.
But, thats generally because I skip 4,6 and 8 in the process.
Gotta love sewer runs!
When I'm rolling a new toon and I don't get on a sewer run I skip 3 and 5 because it's much just faster. Once I'm in my sweeping rythem I can use the boost from leveling and blaze thru the next 2 levels quicker than I can get back to Liberty. Then I go train. -
*Hooks his busted ol Phone booth to the back of the Delorean and hopes for the best*
Well, guess a day late is better than a year.
Hope you had an amazing day AY
Android 18 says she's all yours for the rest of the week. -
My style is pretty much the same as most of you.
I use the mouse to control the camera and my steering, while still using the mouse to click powers in my tray.
I use WASD for movement and my ring finger gets much use on the tab. R is set to select next friend.
I only use the #keys to activate powers if I'm using the mouse to look around at the moment. Space is jump blah blah, I've got my costume binds set to O,P,[,] and my emotes and misc binds are on the numpad. -
I'd say;
Fire/Ice/Ice
You get the awesome damage of Fire/ with the amazing control of /Ice.
I play mainly solo blasters. My Fire/Ice was not only the fastest toon to 50 for me, it was also the most enjoyable!
I've tried Ice/Ice but found it to be to slow and prodding for my tastes. I'd argue that even though you have more slows and control with Ice/Ice it isn't anymore survivable, for the simple fact that Aim+BU Fireball, Firebreath makes everything dead much quicker than Freezeray can save you...
Concept could be elemental master/mutant.
Mine was a Million dollar man concept. The Fusion chamber controlling his cybernetic implants had the side effect of allowing him to superheat or supercool the air molecules around him at will. -
One small earthquake and....
The water gets a little choppy.
It's just an optical illusion. The water isn't falling over the edge for 50 stories, it falls about 2 feet into a basin. The camera angle also makes it look seamless, when in fact the 'edge' of the building is about 10 feet from the 'edge' of the pool and even has a walkway.
(I'm in the hospitality industry and read an article in one of the trade magazines a month or so ago, it had better pictures.)
That said, I still wouldn't go swimming in it. For one, the wind would be pretty chilly up there. For two... well, the building is just stupid looking.
Am I the only one that looks at the it and asks why they parked a giant mag-lev train on top of those 3 cool looking towers? -
The very 1st time I did a Safeguard mission, the day they launched.
I rounded the corner and came face to face with the villain robbing the place.
Looking at the outfit, I thought it was a player controlled villain, if only for a split second before I realized it couldnt be (Since PvP is strictly guarded here)
I'll say 2 things here.
1. I hate PvP.
2. I've wished since that day that it WAS a player controlled baddie that I could stop from robbing the bank.
Only problem with this is. The haves and havenots.
The players here that PvP do so hardcore. They don't build the toon for PvE and then PvP when challenged. They build the toon to specifically stomp you quick.
Add to that the fact that PvP is horribly broken in this game and well...
Only way I'd endorse it would be if it was optional. As in when the Detective gives you the safeguard/Mayhem, you have the option to pick PvE or PvP.
Of course, this means there would have to be a solo player doing the mission at that moment, or a team your size. Which would lead to the feature never being used. -
I have 2 reasons for not playing Sonic Blasters. In fact, now that I think about it, sonic is the only Blaster set I haven't played.
1. The sounds. While not being bad starting out, they really... really get tiresome after only one mission. I can't stand playing without sound, as it takes me out of the action. A friend suggested just muting it and playing music but I find that disorienting. I like being able to hear that minion I missed draw his sword from behind me.
2. No matching secondary thematically. While I can generally work around this limitation, even more so now with Power Customization I find Sonic to be one of those that just doesn't fit with the secondaries atm. -
This happened to me when Issue 17 went live with Ultra Mode.
After trying numerous proposed fixes I finally found one that worked.
Apparently the problem was with the wireless router being reset.
I hooked straight in to the modem and the problem vanished.
Trying to go wireless results in forced disconnects every 5 to 10 minutes, with a complete reset of the adaptor usually needed. -
I've been wanting a one of these:
For years!! I think it's foolish to imagine that simply adding something like this would offend Native Americans. Having it in the game wouldn't be offensive. What's done with it by the players might be, but thats what GM's are for.
Honestly, if you wanna be that PC about everything you might as well say that the Family are offensive to Italians because they wear Armani suits.
Sorcerors and the Tsoo in general are offensive to Asians etc etc...
