Well thanks for that...
I just time warped from 4am to 6am watching those videos. N64 4 life indeed. -
So if I want to remain a legend I just have to stop posting at 4999 right?
-
Sign me up for a big NO.
I'm with HyperStrike on this one. -
Shouldn't you at least wait until there is actually an issue to complain?
It's entirely possible that nobody in this thread will even have to deal with it...
Whining about it isn't going to change it at this point. Try taking a 'wait and see' approach. -
Now thats a classic movie! So disturbing though...
-
I think you should track down VoodooGirl and ask her, just make sure you don't read her fortune in the process.

Even sticking to the same AT you'd have issues with exploitation.
Take for instance the sets that mainly deal Smashing/Lethal damage.
Not heavily resisted early on but towards the endgame it is.
As an aside, there are various other long winded reasons why this isn't going to happen. It's one of the most brought up, and refutted suggestions. This side of Vehicles.
You really enjoy your 50. So don't worry about changing him, the Incarnate slots will allow you to further flesh him out with Fire or Ice or whatever.
Each powerset/combo plays differently than the other. So if you've played Fire/Ice for 50 levels and then suddenly respec into a Psy/MM how are you going to know your attack chain? Your specific weakness and strength? When you would've been struggling to reach level 27 and realized this certain power would really help your build... except now you just skipped right over the learning curve and don't have a clue that you'd need such and such...
In short, we don't need another round of 50's not knowing how to play their AT.
To wit: AE Babies -
Perhaps they're all just taking extended breaks like you did/are?
If he's giving it away, that means you have a chance to keep it.
Nothing says that if you take it over that some of your previous friends won't return from time to time.
-
Just in case anyone reading this thread is curious as to the main reason why without clicking on the listed links.
In Short; Won't happen due to exploitation.
It'd be too easy to roll up a toon that sails through the 1-40 game but then struggles, only to switch to another toon that sails through endgame, thus bypassing the struggle early on.
You'd have people rolling up Blasters and Scrappers just to blaze to 32 and then switch to a Controller already with Pets...
But seriously. If you reached 50 in such an amazingly fast rate, just roll another one. If your that attached to the concept/story it's easy enough to imagine he's your praetorian version that shares the same outlook, only with slightly varied powers, etc etc... -
The only good thing I've seen from this bug is that it makes Ninja's playable...
My Bots/Storm just hit 20 and is about to head Blueside. Thankfully I've been able to workaround the 'Gotta be in his faceNAO' mindset that has afflected my creations with liberal use of Gale and Goto.
Still, it really doesn't feel the same as it did when they'd just stand by me and pew pew pew from afar.
As far as having confirmation from a Dev concerning the issue. Best I can recall is they 'had' to break the code in order for Demon summoning to work probably. Even though it wouldn't make sense under most circumstances to break every other set just to make one playable, with the heavy push on Demon's being in GR they really had no choice.
I haven't heard anything about fixing the issue since GR launched.... -
1 Billion a day?
I've been playing steady for nearly 7 years and still haven't reached half that. Across all my toons...
Most I could scrape together between all 138 toons would be about 430 million.
I don't play my 50's though. -
I like you, you have a sense of humor!
I've often taken to calling it Krpytonium just to rile my friends.
In Lois and Clark, Lois actually wants to name it this and it's clark that refines it to Nite since it's a meteorite.
**Hands out slices of PapaJohns pizza to everyone in thread** -
I hate to do this but...
You mean Kryptonite.
Krypton is the planet. Kryptonite is the substance that renders him vulnerable.
Edited to add:
My Kryptonite in real life is cold. I HATE the cold, it just saps my energy.
In game it depends on the toon. I generally hate anything that drops my toggles though. -
Aye, I rolled up all my Praetorians on Liberty because I needed an emptier server with my old computer.
Now that I have a new one though I've been slowly moving them to my home servers. -
Am I the only one worried that more servers to choose from is only going to spread the population out even thinner?
Or in other words...
Cross-server teaming please!!! -
I don't have that much time spent on Redside so this may be covered in the lore or backstory concerning the Legacy group but I've yet to see it.
Whenever I have a mission with them, they're always tearing into each other with the Earth powers. For no reason. I'm invisible and just marching past group after group as they defeat each other.
Sometimes by the time I reach the boss room he's killed all his companions.
I thought it might have been a bugged tip mission the 1st time I saw it.
But now I've run a few story arc missions and they're still doing it. So far they are the only group that infights like this.
So...
Bug or Lore?
Is there a story reason for them doing this and I just missed it somewhere? -
As an aside; You know what's odd?
Since Stamina became inherrent and most of my toons always took it I've been doing a TON of Vetspec's. Having an extra 3 power choices sounded HUGE!
The reality, oddly enough, is that I feel most builds are even tighter now...
Can't really explain it though. You'd think it'd make building easier but for quite a bit of em it just made the choices that much harder.
Still, it's a 'problem' I like having! -
This is coming from a PvEr who only dabbled in PvP.
My all-time fav. experience Prei13 was when I went in Siren's looking for Badges on my Fire/Ice Blaster. Think he was level 26.
I wasn't there to PvP. So when I saw a Villain gunning towards me I hightailed it towards the base. Seeing that the way back had been cutoff by another evil looking chum I began darting this way and that. Flew all over the map trying to evade me imminent death. Took a few 'potshots' at the Stalker and hid behind some buildings.
I lost him, but was then spotted by another that had been hovering high over the action. I put up as much fight as I could when the 3 of them converged on me, proudly forcing one to use a respite before I died.
What made it so Epic and fun for me was the SPEED.
The sheer anxiety when I knew I was facing a player instead of AI and the breakneck speed in which they chased me, and I evaded. Still stands as the most intense 30 minutes I've had in game.
SPEED. -
You Sooooo need to turn that image into an appropriate avatar Beast!!
-
Sadly yes, if you'd already opened the Fitness pool before it was inherrent then you'll have to respec in order to free up the pool.
Don't forget, if you've played for more than 9 months you'll have at least 1 Vetspec avail on all your toons, even if you missed the free ones!
Also, you can exchange the new Alignment merits for the respec recipe for much cheaper than buying it.
I seriously doubt the respec trial has even been run in ages...
Edited to add: Before you send a petition, try typing /respec just to see if you've got a freeone still. -
My stealth assassin would hate anything standing in the way of zooming straight to the boss...
Most of my other toons though, would probably enjoy the added challenge. Solo.
Teams, not so much. As is glowies are considered a hindrance to teams and I know quite a few that skip any mission with multiple. -
I still love CuppaJo.
Upon further reflection, I think part of what we're starting to notice is the fact that this is now a generational game. In a way at least.
Those of us 'old timers' are now butting heads with the younguns, recounting the 'good ol days' and lamenting the passage of time. We've nearly memorized the bible and the landscape of Paragon so it takes more and more to please us. While on the flip side the 'young adults and teens' i.e. those only here for a year or 2 are easier to please, not having 'seen it all before'
It's a unique thing, having a diverse community with some being here for going on 8 years, while others have less than a month or two. The more jaded us old timers get, the more defensive things end up being. Though it's still lightyears better than most other forums, the fact is there is a changing of the guard taking place.
In closing; I'm having more fun in game than I have in years.
On the forums, not so much. But I blame myself and changing perceptions more than anything else. -
Quote:Huh? Where is this place that only sells cereal once a year?Miss the last sentence of the paragraph?
Haven't had a bowl of CC in a long time. About the only cereal I eat anymore is the occassional bowl of stocked-up Frankenberry or Booberry. Buy about a dozen boxes once a year during the single time they are sold here.
