The Krypton Factor

I'm a level 49 Crab... well more of a lobster really. I have 6 perma pets, lots of - def, - res, soft capped ranged def and i hover above anything that can hurt me. I wipe out large groups of mobs like a hot knife through butter. When i team, against AV's, i never bother looking at my green bar as there's no point, it doesn't move. I see a blue bolt of light from a minion Sapper and i eat as many greens as i can and run in the other direction like a six year old girl as fast as i can, because my def is gone, i'm on the ground and every hit is another death blow. Sappers are my Krypton. My /Elec Brute laughs at Sappers, Carnie bosses eat him alive.

This is no complaint! I love the adrenaline rush of occasionally being on the edge and finding my super toon becoming a mere mortal in the blink of an eye.

What's your Krypton?

You mean Kryptonite.

Krypton is the planet. Kryptonite is the substance that renders him vulnerable.

My Kryptonite in real life is cold. I HATE the cold, it just saps my energy.

In game it depends on the toon. I generally hate anything that drops my toggles though.

But, krypton is a noble gas, what could be bad about that?

I've often taken to calling it Krpytonium just to rile my friends.
In Lois and Clark, Lois actually wants to name it this and it's clark that refines it to Nite since it's a meteorite.

Ring Mistresses on my /Energy brute *shudder*

Lanaruu on my dark tank... ouch! Actually, anything that deals heavy energy damage is bad but Lanaruu is the one and so far only AV (that isn't trick-buffed) that can take her down in 30 seconds or less.

My namesake Ice/Ice Tank against DE before they stopped dropping multiple Quartz pets at once. Man, they tore me up in TFs and other group play back then.

On my Earth/Fire Dom, it's enemies with burst damage. I can keep enemies locked down 99% of the time, but some enemies can flatten me in that 1%. Longbow Wardens are good at that, especially the Energy Melee ones. Really bad luck can do it too: If Stalagmites misses six guys in a spawn even when I'm at a 95% hit chance, there's a decent chance that I'll be dead before one of my backup powers can neutralize them.

On my Stone/Energy Brute, it's Arachnos. Arachnos, full stop. Toxic and Psionic damage I have effectively zero mitigation against, endurance drains I have no resistance to, and bosses and lieutenants that resist my stuns.

Sappers do tend to be my Kryptonite too.

I've been playing a lot of lowbies recently so I'm going to nominate an enemy that's been giving me a lot of grief... the Council Marksman, with their ice bullets.

Unlike Vahz they don't hit you with one -rech then run into melee. They just hang back and shoot. Since most low level characters only have a couple of attacks the -rech can easily leave you with no attacks available, and if you rely on a click heal like Twilight Grasp they're a real pain.
