  1. Apprently the reward mechanic was altered with todays patch.

It reset everyone to zero. You are going to have to run an additional Morality mission now, which will give you regular merits. Then you can start earning A-Merits again.

    Yeah...
  2. I personally was a fan of X-Men Evolution, though I know it takes flack from the diehards out there.

I'm taking it Batman Beyond doesn't count as it was animated before it was comic, right?

    Also I'd include;

    Static Shock
    Batman: Brave and Bold

This is an increasing trend that I'm not a fan of. I wish I'd known I wouldn't be able to actually use the Celestial boots for the toon I got them for, as I can't recolor the boots to match his outfit. I figured I had, at the very least, 3 toons, that could make use of the boots. Sadly, as a result of the baked in color, they only work for one...

I was initially excited to get home and buy the Halloween pack, even though I have no use for literally anything in it. But it looked amazing in the screenshots and well, I have plenty of points and nothing to buy.

Then I started hearing about all the bugs...

I'll wait to see how long it takes to get these bugs squashed. If it's before the window closes I'll probably pop for it. If the bugs haven't been looked at before it's taken down, oh well. I'm not going to keep spending money on unpolished pieces.

I'm willing to chalk this one up to, they couldn't just delay a week or so to polish it, as they wanted to have it out before the Halloween event kicks off. Hopefully this'll be an outlier and not become the standard.
  4. Forget about Titan Weapons, just give me Staff Fighting NAO!!!

    Like, yesterday even.

The raid objective window can be minimized by clicking the triangle, just in case you didn't know.
  6. While I'm not happy about this change, I can understand why they did it.

I'm not happy because, they just removed a very profitable routine from me, right as I was getting into the swing of it.

I spent last week running the 2 SSA's twice each on 23 characters, some I hadn't logged in in years. Needless to say, the LoTG's make me smile every time they sell!

My method going forward, was to run the SSA1 on any new toon when they hit 14. That way I'd already have 2 AMerits sitting there waiting to be cashed in. Then at 20 I'd run SSA2 and make a quick trip to Trident, thus ensuring they have a nice nest egg.

Now, I'm not sure I'll bother with the arcs until after 20. 22 merits is nice and all but not as enticing as the A-merit.

(Also very unhappy about the apparent 'Reset to default for all' this has caused, I got a morality a few nights ago, was about to run it but decided to wait until a friend joined me. Now I've lost out on that A-Merit apparently...)
  7. I knew it! We're all Truman and that's just the 'Eye in the sky'.
  8. On top of that, they go further and actually entice us to run it multiple times for the Hydra Bonuses.

    *Shrug* Go figure.

I still enjoy the trial, just wasn't anticipating it being used to PL.
  9. I don't know about 50...

Sadly, it is possible to level all the way to 33 in a day, playing nothing but DfB.
I know, because I've had a 'debate' over doing so with someone I talked into playing.

We rolled up together, I made the mistake of using DfB to get us to level 12 in 3 runs. Taught him how to Q. We then ran a handful of Radio's before calling it a night.

He then jumps on 1st thing in the morning, plays for 9 hours before I get on and lo and behold is level 33 while I'm still 14. All from Death from Above. For a vet, that isn't a problem, and with SSK I wasn't worried about him being higher level. I was going to be training him during those early levels though.

He was playing a Blaster, ended up picking the entire teleport pool, the entire leadership pool, 2 flight powers and was using his nuke as an opener.

Needless to say, after much back and forth on the situation, I was unable to get him to reroll. A few days later, he's on a brand new level 5. Having deleted the Blaster in disgust after being laughed at by every team he joined...

I really wish the trial had a diminishing reward, so each level gained caused it to give less and less, eventually being outlevelled as far as XP goes at 22.
  10. I mainly play Blasters.

    I mainly solo Blasters.

Out of all the combos I've tried, nothing compared to the ease of soloing my

    Fire/Ice - Sgt. Elemental.

The excellent AoE damage, coupled with decent ST damage. When combined with Shiver and Ice Patch. He hit 50 way to fast, solo...

I'm still shocked at how effective Shiver is against bosses!
  11. A buddy of mine just went from Free to Premium, the very 1st thing he bought was...

    Shadowy Presence.

He toggled it on proudly and announced to the team to check him out, all excited, and then ran over to us.

His reaction went from elation to anger, stating it should warn you that it isn't usable. I had to assure him that there aren't that many 'Buyer Beware' type items in the store and he just happend to stumble on one of the worst. I was getting texts from him the next few days, everytime he'd go to buy something he'd vet it with me first.

    You must die!

I'd want a better explanation for how time travel works. If their coming back altered anything, can they return etc.

Then I'd want to know the specifics of what I did, when and where, to cause the domino effect. If they are able to trace the event through time to get to me, they will be able to tell me in detail. Also exploring the possibilities of being elsewhere at that time, if it was at a specific location etc.

Then I will make the choice. If it appears that I indeed must die to prevent said disaster, I will arrange for them to come back and kill me 8 hours before. No sense in robbing me of weeks and or months when they know they exact time. 8 hours is reasonable to allow for unforseen problems getting to me.

I'd also caution them that, some events are inevitable and removing me from the timeline may simply alter the way 'the event' happens.
  15. Guess I'm the only one that gets a distinct 'Skeletor' vibe from these guys...

Also, I'd like if these guys could be added to give badge credit for Visonary.

    Paragonwiki

    Well now...

Thanks for that link, I could've used that over the weekend.
  17. We should at least be able to see a timer when we get the reward window, ala the 'Can't auot complete until #/#/##' that we see with mission dropping.
  18. I still think the bible has a typo in it...

Should've said; 'The geek shall inherit the Earth'

    Because, we are.

The internet, smart phones, techno-lust et al means within 20 years we'll all be 'Nerds'.
50 years from now, we'll see yet another reversal, with those being naturally gifted in electronics and computers being dominant and jocks being 2nd class.

Seems hard to grasp from our view point, but it will happen. Just as 200 years ago, having a tan and being well defined was signs of being 2nd class.
  19. I often wished for more variety in the mission objectives. With things being so standardized now, I've been enjoying the different feel of the SSA and Tip missions.

The new tutorial missions are a good start.

I'd like to see changing rewards based on objectives.
Like the final mission in SSA2, I accidentally ran into the vault area looking for the boss. Didn't pay any attention to the warning, as I figured it was just lip service.
Til the alarms started blaring and I was swarmed with guards.

I'd like to see having more than one way to complete the objective. You get a mission to stop a boss, you can clear the mission like usual, you can stealth to the boss and just deal with him, or you can piece together the passcode to access a comm system and have him dealt with via calling in reinforcements.

I'd like to see mission objectives like, don't set off any alarms, that actually fail the mission.

I'd like more options to talk it out or fight as well.
Most of the 'bosses' my villains take on, would end up cowering in fear in his vicinity. Having them beg for their life would be nice, fighting as a last resort kind of deal.
  20. Figured it was skating the line. MA/WP scrapper with the bio;

My name is Bruce, I have strong Chi.

It would probably be safe, but with GM's erring on the side of caution, just didn't wanna take the chance.
  21. Made a martial arts character the other night and named him
    Bruce Chi...

Got him through the trial and realized, I might wanna reconsider the name before I got invested in him.

  24. I'll attest to that. Fire blast is so good, it's one of the only sets I don't mind repeating.
