At the risk of taking you back to the serious for a sec...
I fully expect Shanice to be tucked away inside Penny's mind. Now, Penny being aware of that however is another issue.
I also fully expect Manitcore to go all rogue soon™, with everything that's happened lately.
I fully expect SSA #2 to be going into all this a bit more as we begin to track down Wade.
Thus concludes the seriousness.
Now to get the lollipop guild image out of my head... -
A comment from a friend online tonight gave me an idea for a new GM/zone event.
We came out of a mission a ways off from one of the female hero statues in PI, seen from behind with just the right haze gave the brief impression that she was just strolling down the street.
We joked about the attack of the 50ft woman.
Then I thought about it;
How about turning the statues all around Paragon into GM's?
Have the actual GM be some mysterious entity that animates the stone golems to life, to do it's bidding.
You never know which zone, which statue or when it'll happen, but periodically one will shake to life and start wreaking the city until we can stop it.
Alternatively we could have it set up like the Adamastor ritual, only instead of having it heroside, have it be whenever someone does something on Redside it awakens a statue over on Blue.
Naturally, Atlas would be the most threatening of all the statues, save perhaps Talos, so given that removing Atlas with the globe and all could be tricky, leave him to be a zone event special or just be immune.
Ideas? Thoughts? -
Lifetime subscriptions are a disease I hope never infects Paragon.
Used by desperate companies needing a surge of capital for development.
In the long run though, unless that surge of capital is used to create something so amazing that it pulls in just as many new subs, the IP is left hurting for funds down the road.
No thanks, even though I'd buy it out of loyalty, I'd still prefer them to have the monthly income from all of us combined. -
In fairness, CoH's teaming system wasn't nearly as defined as it is now, when it launched.
We've had 7 years of QoL improvements to consider. I'm sure that Space MMO will improve it's over time as well, given the chance to of course.
*Wanders off recalling the endless broadcasts for bridges in PI* -
Feel better soon! I'm sure the past few weeks have taken a toll on the whole office. Rest up!

Quote:Doesn't stop him from pulling out a remote device to have the tank dropped from his orbiting tech platform...I heard that Batman's Utility Belt contains wormholes that connect to one of his warehouses so the question people need to ask is what doesn't Batman carry in his utility belt. Of course, what he brings out is limited in size so he can't bring out a Tank, but he could bring out the components to assemble a Tank.

Makes me think of Niki from Chrono Cross.

I'd be more worried about 'Grey Goo' personally, as oppossed to giant machines. It'd be the micro ones that wipe us out Creeper style.
They feed off carbon in order to replicate... yeah, that sounds like a good plan. -
If the whole human race lay in one grave, the epitaph on its headstone might well be: It seemed like a good idea at the time. -Rebecca West
Said tombstone should be accompanied by the Picard facepalm and the caption /Doh!... -
Sure...
If you count the first things I can click on as my 'real' birthday. -
They didn't change the name... /facepalm
Makes me wonder if they aren't secretly hoping more will buy it thinking it's a travel power since it costs so much more than an emote should.
250pts? Really?
No thanks. I'll buy a few more SuperPacks instead. -
Likewise for me. My Brute had his damage attribute vanish. Was a quick fix but still left me scratching my head wondering if I'd deleted it myself.

This thread makes me sad.

Glad I decided to not bother until it had a few seasons under it's belt. Gotta love the option to just Netflix a show without having to bother keeping up with it weekly or waiting months for stupid breaks.
Now I don't even have to bother doing that. -
I do see...
Emo-ness from Manti in the near future. Possibly even leading up to his falling to the dark side. -
This Issue packs more than I expected. I mainly read up on DA and the new sets so the new arcs in Steel came outta left field!
Makes me happy, I was just planning on starting and running a new toon 'old school' going to Hollows at level 5 and then I wasn't sure what arc's to run from 14 to 20, now I've got brand new ones!
That said...
BRING ON STAFF FIGHTING!! -
Reed Richards would have to agree...

I know next to nothing about Incarnates, yet even I know you can become 50+3...
Debate is still going on if anymore level shifts will be added though.
If you could only get to 50+1, those 54's would be way to tough. -
That's just been heating up a bit over the last few months during the testing stage.
They should return to the normal level of ignoring each other after tomorrow.
The 'solo' path created a bit of turmoil over it's speed compared to the trials, with GG being the most vocal proponent of trials and Bill being resonable...
I'll stop there before I derail.
Suffice it to say, business as usual really. -
It's all just speculation on my part really, from the years of playing and reading, seeing whats said and what isn't.
What isn't said in this case is the more telling thing, at least to me.
My hunch is that pet AI was bugged from the very start and by the time it was discovered they had already balanced the class around the fact that pets couldn't be held in position and would sometimes flat out refuse to obey. If they fixed the bug at that point, it'd have meant much much more work rebalancing the entire class, so they left it alone and never acknowledged it's existence.
Then when they created Demons something got borked and they ended up being forced to fix the code, however the same problem of having to fix the entire class balance wise upon doing so still existed. So they reworked the bug and reinstated it, this time as an intended handicap instead, saving them the money pit.
I'd be more than happy to have a Redname finally post that they are aware of the 'bug' and blah blah. However, I wouldn't be shocked to have it never be brought up by them either. -
Well for years we had a 'bug' with AI that made the melee pets get stuck in range mode, requiring mulitple clicks back and forth with passive/attack to get them to close to melee instead of plinking away with the single ranged attack. We complained and griped but not one word was ever said from a Dev that it was indeed 'bugged'.
Then, Demons were created, and they found out thatDemons are broken, with this 'bug' causing them all to act like ranged pets. Demons being one of the biggest features for GR and all meant it had to go.
So they 'fixed' it. Finally the get stuck in range bug was gone!!
However, it was replaced with the new 'Everyone must melee!' bug
We bugged it and started threads about it. We found work arounds and we waited. To this day, pet AI has never been acknowledged as being 'bugged' and therefor we can only surmise that it's sadly WAI. Flaws and all.
