Combat attributes window messed up

So, I take advantage of the Combat Attributes window. Basic setup has things like current health/end, INF, XP to next level and whatever might get buffed (like damage bonus on brutes.) So some characters have extensive windows, others pretty small.

Just logged in to two different characters. One, a blaster, had the window trimmed down to two lines. Another had- well, two lines, but spaced out:

With blanks below. Zoning collapsed the window, getting rid of the empty spaces. It happens with multiple characters, multiple servers, and it's not the same things staying or disappearing across the characters. (One might have HP and AOE defense, like above, another had recovery rate and HP, etc.)

... actually, correct that, they seem to keep "Current HP," but anything else is random.

I can re-add the information, but this is new with this patch.

Also, they all have the powers bar "floating" up about two rows. (I have a 6x2 extra power "window" just to the left of th emain powers bars, and the lower edge lines up right with the top of that side window - even if it doesn't exist on a specific character.)


Wanted: Origin centric story arcs.
If you've only played an AT once (one set combo) and "hate" it - don't give up. Roll a different combo. It may just be those sets not clicking for you.

Having the same problem with the combat attributes monitor window. Attributes are missing from it in some characters, some attributes I wasn't monitoring show up instead, blank lines (undeletable) are also showing up...

My power trays have been consistently moved up as well, for every character I logged in with after today's patch. And a few other windows are showing up at the wrong places.

Yes it messed up my combat attributes in different ways for all my toons also. Not hard to fix though.

Likewise for me. My Brute had his damage attribute vanish. Was a quick fix but still left me scratching my head wondering if I'd deleted it myself.

Hold over bug from BETA never addressed.


The development team and this community deserved better than this from NC Soft. Best wishes on your search.

Actually, things were WAY worse during the first patch or two of Beta. Windows would reset/move all the time, change their contents, you couldn't drag them to the edges... it was a nightmare.

Trust me, as annoying as this is, it's waaaay better.

Question, assuming it's even possible to determine the answer: is this one of those bugs that only affects characters we log into? Or has it already affected all our characters?

Because re-setting-up my Combat Attributes windows on each character is tedious and requires me to reconstruct from memory which ones I am monitoring on each character, and if staying away from my mains until they fix the bug would save me from having to do it on those characters, I will consider doing so.

I don't expect this to be fixed, to be honest.

Based on the gaps and re-mapping of the attributes in my windows, I think the way the window "maps" to the attributes got changed. In other words, I think our windows said something like this.

Attrib A -> Lethal Defense
Attrib C -> Regen Rate
Attrib D -> Last Hit Chance
Attrib G -> Recharge Bonus

After the change, they looked like this:

Attrib A -> Fire Defense
Attrib C -> (Not valid)
Attrib D -> Lethal Defense
Attrib G -> Range Bonus

This happened very early in I22 beta, and was never fixed throughout the beta. I /bugged it in beta and posted about it on the beta bug boards. It's not in the "known issues" list on live.

If my guess about what happened to cause this is right, they would have to run some sort of re-mapping tool against everyone's stored attribute monitor windows. That would probably re-break everyone who has already fixed their monitor.

So I'm going to bet we're stuck having to correct them, and waiting probably won't help.

I could be wrong, though.

Still had these issues(edge dragging, moving windows, attributes monitor) when issue 22 went live.

If I load my window settings from saved defaults then I will see the windows move again and have to move them twice to move them back(don't want to move to the edge in one fluid motion).

It seemed to only affect my first login, but I haven't went to alts yet to see if they have the bug or if it resets my main's settings again.

So far, playing just my main has kept everything where I put it back to after the initial bug(including attribute monitor), so long as I don't try loading settings from saved anymore.

If that is true then it may be intentional and a one time issue.

It could be that they just cleaned some things up with the combat attributes window and monitor, which resulted in everyone having to reset what they were monitoring under the new organizational background coding.


I haven't seen this after refilling my monitor since.

All characters that existsed pre-Launch of I22 will be affected by this. Once they've been reset, the only issues I notice is that any chat window that's floating will move the first time you zone, and if your Inspirations tray is floating, it'll randomly move towards the center of the screen after zoning.

This makes me glad I monitor the same 10 things on all my characters, so that I can just use my popmenu to fix them as I log in to play.
