Your editorials completely aside, your delivery is pretty terrible. You might want to write it down, rehearse a few time before you turn on the camera, and make sure you're pronouncing words correctly... unless you really did find the game play "monomonus."

Speak clearly, speak slowly if you have to. I know there's plenty of software that can tighten up the dialogue by editing out the pauses. Sounds like Yahtzee uses that to get his rapid-fire speech style.
  2. Oops, I'm sorry. I thought this was the thread for the best. Trailer. Ever. My bad. I'll just leave this here.

(Apologies in advance for that song getting stuck in your head.)
  3. It's STILL crazy fun to toggle on during a Ghoul mission and watch your team try to kill you. I wonder how many /bug reports it has spawned...

I think I remember that guy! Didn't he have a big pink tophat?

One that's always stuck with me was an stone tank named "Brown Ploppy." Not the costume so much as the name + the sound of Mudpots non-stop...

Force fields could work, protecting you and your allies by slightly shifting you into the Dreamtime and out of normal space, and therefore, harder to hit.

Or Kinetics, shifting energies, tapping your enemies spirits to fuel your's and your allies. That's more of an aggressive/immoral take on it, sapping another living being and all.

Really, you could make nearly combo of powers fit your story with the right coloring and story.

By the way- you didn't mention- are you seeing this as a more heroic or villainous character?
  7. I'm interested too. I'll bring my Fire/Rad hero troller. No nukes (yet) but she's pretty well slotted and has a full tank of Shivs.

Some of it doesn't make any sense what-so-ever, but that's the reason. Like, the smoke example. If you smoked me and my buddies and we were "taking over a warehouse", I would at least TRY to look for you. I may not ever find you due to the -perception, but I would at least move somewhere.
There is A LOT in this game that should draw aggro. When a Hellion runs off, and through a mob of his buddies, you'd think he'd mention to them about the doodz in their base. My favorite is when you punt some minion down the hallway and his limp corpse tumbles among the ankles of his coworkers, not even raising an eyebrow.
That Karl, always hurtling his lifeless body hundreds of feet through the air, riddled with bullets, bruises and gashes. And on fire. What a clown.

Electric Control is just one of them with Static Field, Conductive Aura and the Chains.

Radiation Emission has two anchored AoE debuffs, I assure you, you are slowing down the team by knocking the anchors away or knocking enemies en-mass out of thier effect.

There are numerous ground fields that dramatically affect the ease of defeating enemies: Quicksand, Earthquake, Tar Patch, Ice Slick, Freezing Rain, Sleet, Caltrops, Oil Slick Arrow and I'm probably missing a few.

Everybody loves Fire Blasters, I know I do, but a fire blaster loses a lot of effectiveness when half the enemy pack is knocked away. Fire Blasters are far from the only AoE attackers too.

Knockback is simply put the worst kind of damage mitigation. It extends the life of enemies far more than it extends the life of the player team.
But in the hands of skilled player, KB can help the team by knocking runners back into debuff patches. One of my favorite things to do with Hurricane is gently push targets into my Freezing Rain patch.
Granted, it takes alot of skill to get to that point. You have to know alot about how your power performs, and how it performs against what targets. A Freakshow tank doesn't punt like a Rikti monkey.

It's also one of the most badass ways to finish off a target, booting their limp body down the block into a crowd of their buddies. (how this does not aggro the next mob, I'll never know.)

In the hands of a novice player, yeah, it can make a right mess of things. It becomes the bratty kid that jumps into your nice neat pile of leaves.
  10. I was on a Praet team with 3 elect controllers and 1 elec dom. We could pretty much sap any and all mobs in a second or two. We had a full team, and no one's green or blue bars much more than trembled.
The downside is we had pathetic damage, and it took forever to chop through all those mobs .
The other downside is with all our customized EC powers throbbing away, my screen looked like someone vomited Fruity Pebbles on it. LSD doesnt even come close.

    Wow, might be intervention time...

I'm playing an Elec/Cold Dom at the mo, and I actually like the rhythm to it. I'm not normally a fan of the buff/rebuff/rebuff/ad nausiem pattern, but the nice thing about ice is you tend to all your secondary work between battles. That leaves your attention free to rock the primary during battle.

I've never had much affection for playing Kins, in trollers or doms, because the set has too much you can do in mid-battle. Heals, siphons, more heals, refresh speedboost, ugh. It's just too distracting for me.

It's a real bacon-saver, to be sure. I wonder if it gets less useful in the higher levels as more of your teammates will uncork streams of AoEs, but I love it so far. My only complaint is that the graphics can be a bit seizure-inducing, especially if you have more than one Elec/.

  14. I got to admit, i do have Mutation on my Ill/Rad, and more than once a tanker has run it to the mob and promptly face-planted. Then here comes me, drop my PA, some debuffs, then pick the poor tanker up and dust him up with Mutation like he was a little kid that took a spill on the swings.

And I would be lying if I said the experience wasn't immensely satisfying...

/signed. I just hit 20 on my EC/CD troller, and this might be the first time on any toon I am not taking Stamina (or its equivalent.) I have CA 3 slotted with End Mods DOs, and I'm sure things will just get even nicer with SOs.
  16. Wow, I think this is going to be pretty huge. I think DA stalkers might just become the new FotM... well, at least Flavor of the Moment at least.

I rolled mine up last night, a KM/DA named Chagrin Spice, for the express purpose of actually absorbing the GR content rather than level jamming like I've been doing.
  17. Maybe they don't believe in what they're fighting in for...

Tee hee, that would be me.

But as Amber mentioned, there's lots of ways and powers to revive a player. Fallout is the only way to make some lemonade out of their lazy corpse.
  19. There's a /releasepets command you can keybind for a quick panic control. Just kill 'em if they start getting adventurous.
  20. Well, if it is as out-of-balance as you say, i would imagine we'd see some fine tuning of the numbers by the devs. Buff scrapper damage, debuff scrapper damage, increase crit chances or make fury harder to sustain.

The Scrapper-Brute-Tank relationship is very strange in this brave new world. My guess is we'll see some tweaking and "fixes" to make sure all 3 ATs fulfill a unique roll.
  21. I have three end mod DOs in mine at the moment, and my blue bar stays pretty full. I'm a pretty click-happy player too, but this may be the first build I've ever made that doesn't beg for Stamina at 20.

Are you sure the recovery and regen is as robust as stated above? I thought the recovery was more like .2% per mob, not 2%
  22. I'm running a Elec/Cold. Seems like a pretty steady support toon, so far. I've been dodging Cold Dom for too long, and the end drain in both sets seems like the start of a nice sapper build.

    Static Field

Got Static Field last night, and I love it! I almost never take Sleeps, but this one is a must-have.

One question- Conductive Aura supposedly does damage, and according to Parawiki, takes damage enhans, but I was not really noticing much in the way of orange numbers. I bring this up, because if it doesn't do damage, it seems like SF and CA together could let you sleep and sap a mob pretty easily and quickly. Nice Alpha diffuser.
