Basically what everyone already said. My energy/energy blaster has had Force Mastery ever since she was high enough level to get the powers many many years ago. Never once have I considered changing her ancillary, the set is just too good. I love popping FoN and rushing in to blap with big Zeus robots or anything else twice my size or bigger. ^_^

Can't say for all but I absolutely love DB/SR on my scrapper. Using the sweep combo and the two other single attacks that do knockdown (can't remember names atm) makes my as of yet uncapped def scrapper alot more sturdy. Chew on a single purple insp and its downright obscene and I can't wait to get her capped without using those.

Easiest thing to do is pop open Mids and check out the set bonuses that would fit into your build. Also you could take the Ice Ancillary to get that Def shield to help you out. Plus hurdle/combat jumping.... little more def and you can jump in and out of groups if you dont want to hang around after the AOE's go off.

Quote:I miss all the Taxibots :'( was the absolute best thing about Virtue when I strted playing CoH in I2. Especially in the Hollows when you would be a thick headed newb and fall into the giant hole in the center.-I'm a Taxibot, with 3 50 levels in that SG, so you can usually find me in Steel Canyon on Fridays after 8PM EST offering teleport to Tailors shop or anywhere in zone. We also run Task Forces and Taxibot Sara 2.0 is and ILL/EMP so when we do Stealth and TP are always covered.
And when there were no Taxibots on duty... UP UP AND AWAY! *slowly Hovers up and out of said hole.*

The only time I really have this issue is with travel powers. I like to make alot of flying characters but it's not always available to me because I also happen to like building chars up to be as good as they can be. Usually I side with utility but one a small handful of chars I stubbornly stick to theme.

The best way to take knockback up a notch to 11 in the awesomemeter. Add some knockup. SS tank/brute tee's up the mob. Energy blaster knocks em out of the park.
Also the best pvp fun (before all your silly IO's!) was king of the hill in arenas, on the Steel Canyon statues head. Killing (read: arresting) other players with a KB attack to send them falling to the street. -
Sounds like I get to rework the build some and push it off for some other useful power earlier. Thanks all for the info on it. Will definitely keep it in the build though for muling.

Quote:Maybe I'll create a post where I just link the major updates per day. I'll see what I can do.
That's what I was thinking. I'm sure it wouldn't be terribly hard to copy/paste the big updates one after another into one thread. Just wasn't sure if it would be frowned upon or not. I know I personally would love to see all this information be saved for future reference. -
Just a thought now that it is over, would we be able to get all of his update posts put together back to back for easy reading/linking to others for future use? Or would people just get annoyed at reposting what he already said, even though it's spread out between a weeks worth of people guessing/commenting.

How can people not love the sound fx?! Ok I don't love em either, but I never found em annoying or any reason to NOT play the set.

Quote:They ought to consider using other heroes to promote, since States kind of screams 'generic' or 'Cap wannabe.' It doesn't make a case to potential customers that they can create their own ideas. Some better promotional heroes would be BABs, Posi, Psyche, Mako, Maelstrom, GW, WW, or Synapse.
You can say that most of the others scream "<insert hero name> wannabe" as well. (Posi - Ironman, BABs - Luke Cage, etc) And how would a picture of any of those make the case for creating your own any stronger? -
I am curious what are peoples thoughts on this power for blasters. I currently have this in a build for my TA/MM blaster I have been enjoying and about to reach the levels for taking it. I wanted to know though if this is a great/good/bad/terrible idea. I thought I had heard once that is was looked at favorably but this was a long time ago and I've not seen alot of talk about it since being back. If anything it is IO muling a decent set in it for some ranged def (pretty sure but not near a mids to double check) but if WoC is useless I would rather put in some other power that would offer me more.
Thanks for your consideration and any thoughts! ^_^ -

596 million is my newest guess. Also as a side note, I've never ever won any contest where I count the jelly beans in the jar.

Yay for not being shelved! I was playing around with mids and easily got one S/L def capped. Just not overly familiar with slotting in traps in general.

Argh I actually just got rid of my main Soviet character but I think I still have a screenie of her I could post. Heck just talking about her is making me want to remake The Republic's Hammer anyway
Will throw a pic up to help ya out once I am home. ((Yay I'm home, posted her. She was Grav/Kin but now remade her into an Earth/Storm.))

I'm actually fairly interested in hearing how this is turning out, but too bad you shelved him already. Masterminds in general don't interest me but the whips in DS certainly do and if it actually was viable to at most use one demon I might try making a MM finally.

Quote:Three Rivers runs through Pittsburgh ^_^I don't think Jay "hates" the Furry crowd... but I still love the mental image of him being taken to AnthroCon and running out of the Westin, eyes on fire, screaming, and plunging into what-ever river runs through Pittsburgh, surfacing on the other side of the river, still screaming.
