I hate being on a budget. I had to turn off my cable.
Could someone fill me in on what is this weeks Smallville? And the after if you be so kind please. -
Quote:Thank you. People tend to forget that this is a comic book game and the rules do not apply to the CoX universe. Here's the thing, its a game with your character being the center of the storyline. The game is based on comics, so the number one rule is that anything is up for grabs.
Quote:I say that powers existed before Pandora's box was open, and that's why my character works. I rectify this contradiction to game cannon by saying that as far as people knew there weren't powers before then, but they were wrong and simply speaking based off of their experience up and until the point they met my character. Sister Psyche does the same thing in the origin of powers mission. "Well they think this, but really that's just a guess and I disagree with them. I think this." to paraphrase. You could do the same thing for any mutant origin character.
Quote:Mutation: Your genetic structure undergoes a secondary mutation due to proximity to the well. Again the well is a catalyst, similar to the splitting of the atom which is science itself, yet was catalyst to many mutations. The mutation is what allows you to actually do anything. Again, the well would exist, but if it weren't for the mutation the well would do you no benefit, additionally such a mutation could have been triggered by another source. In this case, however, it just happened to be the well.
.
Quote:Oh and just something I want to ask, where is it said that the well of furies is magic and not a fundamental part of the natural order, and the functioning of the primal earth's universe? Where has any origin been given to the well, or incarnate powers for that matter?
Really. You and I need to exchange ideas man, I like the way you think. -
Quick question: For mutants, won't the Well just accelerate their mutation and make them Omega Level and not gods?
Form Wiki:
Omega-level mutants
"An Omega-level mutant is one with the most powerful genetic potential of their mutant abilities. The term was first seen in the 1986 issue Uncanny X-Men #208, but was completely unexplained (beyond the obvious implication of it referring to an exceptional level of power). The term was not seen again until the 2001 limited series X-Men Forever. Some abilities depicted by mutants described as Omega-level include immortality, extreme manipulation of matter and energy, high psionic ability, strong telekinesis, and the potential to exist beyond the boundaries of the known physical universe. No firm definition has been offered in comics. Mutants that have been confirmed as Omega-level include Jean Grey, Vulcan,Rachel Summers, Iceman,Legion, Elixir, and Franklin Richards."
Not magic, but a science that just unlocked mutant potential to unknown levels maybe? -
Massively: Will there be any live events to herald the incoming invasion of Praetorian forces?
Melissa Bianco: We will not be hosting any Live Events, as the content in issue 19 itself represent the invasion.

I call foul. If you gonna have a war you should have an live event, or it is just a shadow war and noone knows about it. -

Has Marvel never learned anything? Noone dies in comics for very long anymore since Superman left the door open in the afterlife and nobody has bothered to close it.
-
I always thought of Imperious as a demigod, like Hercules. Like a god, but without the pesky arrogance and "I can kill you with my thunderbolt" mentality.
-
I was rereading the Lore page and this kept cropping up.
"As the tempest dies, so the lightning shatters the mirror, and as the storm skies clear, the reflective shards cut and bleed those who handle them," intoned Silos.
"Yes, I know the prophecy. You made us memorize it, remember?" gritted Ramiel.
"Yet here we are. Alternate dimensions will begin wreaking havoc on this one, spoiling any victory we could ask for over the Coming Storm."
"I hope you have a plan, Silos," said Ramiel.
"Always. We can recruit allies within these parallel worlds, and perhaps bolster our own numbers with alternate versions of super-powered beings, or even alternate Ouroboroses."
"Do not fool yourself into thinking that alternate Ouroboroses
(( Sorry, the quoting thing is not working right for me.))
Is it me or did they move from Time Jumpers to Monitors( DC universe)? Parallel Worlds? dimentions wreaking havok? Super powered alts of ourselves(I guess)? This sounds all too like a page out of Crisis of Infinite Earths. Too the one who made that guess, I tip my glass to you.
Or this may be a large leap and me getting excited over nothing. -
I am hoping each issue with have some new Incarnate threat. Sooner or later as stated you will be able to solo LG.T.F. So with each new power there has got to be someone who can go toe to toe with you along the way.

I am assuming all this was suppose to be in issue 20? If they are not going to put this stuff in the issue, then what is the big secret? I think we were told issue 20 was a major graphics overhaul, and we get animated fingers finally and thus the end of mitten hands. Guess the meet and greet will answer some questions.

All worked according to Luthor and Doom's plan. Use Ivy's pollen to cause them to fight each other allowing Luthor to launch Doom's ultimate weapon against the JLA.
That or it was a slow weekend. -
Quote:Baby steps towards the Technological Singularity my friend.
Every baby step gets them that much closer.
The machines really are going to have an easy time controlling us as long as we keep thinking these little "pointless" advances are meaningless or silly...
Could not have said it better. You'd da one (Would say man, but I learned the hard way on that one).

The way (no offense to the Japanese) are developing robotics I would not be surprised when we see those or skin-jobs. Like I said my friend keeps me up to date on this stuff, I hear Korea is getting into the robotic race as well.
-
Obviously you all can tell I love me some robots news and since my friend likes to send me links to them, I share with you..
I present to you the newest: The robotic nurse. So close to making a Cylon skinjob I can taste it.
From what I was told she is a prototype for the new line of robotic nurses for the elderly and the handicapped on a personal level to alleviate loneliness and the depression.

I am torn on this one. On one end I am sick of zombies(even in real life), Halloween events, random presents during X-Mas and banners but love the Ritki attacks. I guess what I am saying is, if they have a good premise and story behind it like the Praetorians and Ritki then I really do not see a problem with an invasions because we know why and there are story arcs do go along with them. All the other "events feel as tho they are thrown at us with no reason or story behind it thus feel blah and really should go the way of the Dodo.
But on a side note: Zone created areas that was suggested would cut down on lag and separate those who want to participate and those who want to avoid "events" like the plaque. -
I was so hoping she was going to finish it with "Those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the lord". *Points to Clark* "When I lay my vengeance upon thee". Clark fries the guy right there and she picks up the gun and fires at the cop.
