  1. I think that different pets have different preferences to their attacks, Mercs and Robots prefer ranged attacks, whereas zombies and ninjas are better suited to being close range.

Thing is, different pet classes have different abilities too, my spec ops have AoE disorients. Makes for some fun gameplay!
  2. Playing my controller, dominators are the first to feel my wrath, as they're most similar to controllers, and very nasty creatures indeed.

Playing my warshade, if I can spot a stalker, it's them first, if I see a mastermind, I get stuck in the middle of their pets to buff myself up and lay the smackdown on them.

    PAs and PvP

AFAIK - if you confuse a controller, ALL his pets also get confused, regardless of their own confuseableness(?!?)

If anyone wants to test this out, send me a global tell.
  4. There are total trump cards against stalkers, TG for example, has whirlwind, which knocks all stalkers out of melee range. I've got increase density, which makes all my teammates immune to tp foe, for every strategy, there is a counter strategy, all of my characters use a tp foe/hold sort of strategy and it works ok.

Orbiting Death FTW! I need to slot more acc's in there to make it useful though in PvP.

    Kheldians in PvP

In a team, my kheldian did it's job of teleporting unsuspecting villains onto tip mines reasonably well. The hold I got is quite nice too.

    Decive

Decieve is also SWEET AS in PvP, did you know a controller's pets get confused if you confuse the owner? Much amusement! I need to experiment with this on a mastermind, but as the pets recieve orders, I'd imagine it'd be much harder to pull off.
  7. Thing with the 80% resistance cap is that you can reach 805 when a sonic defender plonks one of his forece fields on you, or something. You CAN hit 80%, with buffs.
  8. THROUGHLY reccommended to do the trial with as many players as you can, we did it with 10 and the whole thing just fell through.

    non PvP AT's

Only really if you're an ice blaster, soloing. Built in holds and lots of slow really kains them down.

But, to be honest, probably the most hated AT in the arena are stalkers for villains, and controllers for heroes, seriously, holds + rad debuffs = the win, plus controllers do containment in PvP - so if you're aggressively minded, then bloody heck, controllers for the win!

Controllers and Defenders can fare really well in the arena, perhaps even being able to outdo tanks and scrappers if you throw in enough toggle droppers and the such like - proper mental!

    Plot upgrades

From my experience on the test server, you can sell your plot, o to downsize your base you sell the plot you've got and replace it with a smaller one, to upscale the shebang, you sell your little plot, buy the big plot and only pay the difference.
  11. I'd reccommend Psi mastery, IW gives you a lovely mez resistance, resists against the whole works. Also Mind over Body grants you psionic resistance, VERY useful when you find those rare psi mobs and also excellent in PvP because psi is the uber-weapon against tanks.

With regards to the original OP:

    A) If you're thinking of PvPing, all your main attacks should be three slotted for accuracy, I only have a handful of powers that are only two slotted for accuracy.

    B) Yeah, especially in big teams, damage can be taken out and buffed up with fulcrum shift. Fulcrum shift is the uber power, and combined with psionic tornado, deals a reasonable DoT

    C) Siphon Speed IMHO is a must-have, I have it on auto fire all the time (which has caused some mob aggro problems, but I'm getting used it to) - you can get it triple-stacked without hasten, also it increases your movement speed and is unsuppressed (same as IR). Meaning that I am still able to joust and kite things if I fancied it. It's especially lethal with hover in PvP, as a lot of players tend to ignore the Z axis while fighting and I'm really nippy and fairly manoeveurable[sic]. It improves your recharge speed roughly by one recharge SO per application, so if you can have perma-2-siphon speed buffs on you, then you've pretty much got yourself hasten right there.

Of course, I have hasten too. :P It's not quite perma, but I've found I can drop the fitness pool, get some more amusing things in its place and use transference to top up my endurance as and when it's needed.

    Trade

I'm also up for unloading my arcane salvage in exchange for technology salvage.
  14. What about slotting? Would that mean I would need twice as many enhancements for me powers? eeeek! Think of the cost for my dominator!
  15. I'd say you need a good manoeveuring power to work with the force bubble, bubblers are VERY annoying in PvP - but watch out for the endurance. Also watch out for controllers with confuse.

    PvP Moments!!!

Take 5 heroes waiting outside a mission door in Warburg.

Cue me, who's not on their team.

Pop down a spectral terror, they're all frozen in place.

    Summon a phantasm,

Mix it up with a fulcrum shift.

Blind, Spectral Wounds for the easiest 1 point of reputation I've ever recieved!

Confuse the blaster who's standing on his own ice patch, watch him fall over.

2 of the crew I'm against bolt it through the door.

Push about the scrapper a bit.

2 more reputation points in the bank!
  17. ice/storm baby, ill/rad is also freakishly strong, so is ice/rad, as you can lay down the debuffs and ill has a strong primary attack. However, Ill doesn't fart about with any immobilises, so it's tricky to keep a guy at bay while you try and bolt it.

Spectral Terror is the illusion's trump card though. Ill/storm could be potent as melee ATs couldn't get close, and fear on the squishies helps loads too.

There really isn't a cookie cutter build for PvP, depends who you team with, Laustin's reasonably good with 1 on 1's with a defender, troller or blaster, but against scrappers and tanks he's rather weak.
  18. I'm just wondering, has anyone found any way they can increase the amount of salvage they earn? I've managed to collect TONS with Stompinatrix up to level 20, but with Choppendown up to level 18, I've only managed to collect half as much so far.

So, what I want to ask is, anyone found any half decent techniques for collecting lots of salvage?
  19. What really nerks me off in Warburg are the villains who bolt it straight to the mission and plop through the door before my TP Foe has finished firing off - that's just plain inconsiderate! :P
  20. Yeah, but it stops people from grabbing their 50's with OOOODLES of influence and making an instant-uber base right off the bat. I know Laustin has over 30million influence.
  21. IR also can't ve toggle-dropped, making it helpful to have applying to you when you run out of endurance in a fight.
