Just like my tank I posted this was my scrapper build from 2-3 years ago.
He was one of the best SR scrappers I believe. I think he suffers like other SR scrappers that he sometimes can still be squishy with the SR powerset against higher bosses.
But he was really fun to play majority of the time.
How's he look now?
Can he handle AV's still? or elite bosses? or is he weak?
With him I was able to use the attack chain that people posted for DM. I just forget exactly what it is right now.

How does he look nowadays?
My focus was to soft-cap s/l defense and pump up my recharge times.
Not sure if those good focuses and how I did?
This build was before fitness was inherent so I could make some new power choices with that.

And this probably a silly question, but is there any enemies that an ice/kin would be possibly alright for solo farming?
I've never had a fire farm build so I'm not comparing ice/kin to that build. I just sorta desperate and trying to see if my currents 50s could provide me any influence gains.

How's this build look?
I'm a veteran returning and am curious whats up with ice blasters nowadays.
I wasn't really sure on what to focus with for this toon. I went for a soft-capped range defense. Other then that I believe I tried for a mix of most regen & damage I could get but don't think it was too much. What do you guys think?

So like some of the other postings I'm coming back with my lvl 50 DA/SR scrapper. He's full of IO's already from like 2 years ago and I'm wondering how he looks now.
Back then he was awesome for me. Could tank most enemies. Wouldn't be invincible but would outlast them and survive. Does he still seem awesome? Maybe just needs some incarnate powers to buff him up even more? Or is he now more of an average looking IO'd build? Thanks,

So I hear you have to be tier 7 to be able to use the Invention system again. I have all of my tier 6 stuff as I used to be a veteran of the game. Now I'm wanting to come back and use my IO's on a premium account. So my questions are,
do i gain the ability to use IO's once I earn a point and use it on a tier 7 slot? Or do I have to unlock all of the tier 7 slots to use IO's?
Also, no matter if IO's are unlocked after the first tier 7 slot or after all of the tier 7 slots are unlocked, I'm thinking I will re-subscribe to earn those points instead of buying them. What would be the minimum amount of months it would take for me to get the IO feature?

Here is my build. is not the "best" build but it's also not quite as expensive since no hami's or purple sets in it.
I find him to be really solid for most situations other then recently noticing he not very good on the ae fire farm ambush missions.
Realize that with super reflex your health will zig zag up and down. Unless you use purple inspirations lol. With this build I usually don't use inspirations (for some reason i feel it's sorta cheating on a Io build haha ) as siphon life is part of my attack chain.
So i play more just with his health going up and down.

Last night while playing in AE I teamed with a fellow scrapper who told me that his defense was at 70%.
I asked isn't that total overkill?
He replied not for AE ambush enemies.
Is this true?
Does a scrapper need to go that high above the soft-cap to be ambush dominant? -
So i have an ice/ice/cold blaster for the last 3 years. he's soft capped at range and i mainly fight while hovering around. I had an idea that with so many fire farms forming on AE that perhaps maybe i would make him suited a little more with the ice theme of like marvel comics where he is resistant to fire.
So i was going to try to take my build and adjust it more to where i'm soft-capped at ice and fire. If that takes my range away and makes me more of a ground fighter so be it.
Sound like fun or more miserable? -
oops. at 50, resist elements i just sorta threw in there so that power could be something else as well.

So I haven't played this game in bout 7months but am now coming back and would like to respec my tank now with I19 and inherent fitness.
I just kinda threw this build together but think he looks really solid with his high resistance and defenses as well as his recovery.
But I could be wrong.
Any thoughts?

So it's best to go for positional defense instead of type on controllers?
I thought the farm king fire/kin always have stone app for s/l defense.
Not that my guy is a fire/kin or really plays as one.
But I thought with arctic air that I would go for either s/l or ya melee defense instead of range.
Because I can immobilize them so they stay in melee range right?
Or when does an attack change from melee to range? -
So I decided to make an elec/fire for my farmer.
So far he's been PL'd up to 39.
I haven't filled any slots yet so i can completely change if needed.
What you all think?
I'm new to /fire. My only experience with scrappers is /SR so I don't know want I need to focus on with a /fire scrapper.
I'm thinking he'll mainly farm the fire enemy farms in AE. Probably farm those like 75% of the time and 25% some other ae farm. Thats why I tried to go fire and also S/L.

So I built my ice kin for s/l defense or resistance cap., havent really notice it being worthy of keeping. So I was thinking of respec and get rid of the stone epic pool and focus in another direction other then s/l defense or resistance. Any thoughts? He mainly for team support

Also, about capping ranged defense to s/l.
Why cap range defense when we have our melee arctic air power?
At least that is why I chose s/l over ranged. But feel free to tell him if I'm wrong.
Or do you both not really use that power. Just take it for the IO's? -
Are you guys just making general comments with my build or do you both run IO'd ice/kins that your completely satisfied with and that's what your comments are coming from?

Also. Just curious why you picked conserve power?
Would this build require some endurance help?
Again currently with my build I don't have any endurance issues at all.
Also, how you say in my build my attack chain has gaps and your build doesn't.
Is that more due to your overal recharge rate or specifically the way you have those attack powers slotted? Just wanting some knowledge about how to build attack chains. -
Have you played that build before?
Would I notice a difference from losing 6 hitpoints/sec regen as well as about 200 total hitpoints if I were to go from my build to yours? -
My plan for this build is strictly pve. I want my toon to be able to solo the hard ae missions as well as take out AV's so that I can do AV farm missions.

How does this build look?
I'm sorta lost on how to slot controllers as well as just Kinetic powerset.
I followed a fire/kin build for the smashing/lethal defense bonus.
I would say this toon is 95% for teams if that helps any.
Right now i have the toon slotted with everything except the powers in the stone epic pool aside from the red fortunata's in rock armor.
Let me know of what you think of my build as well as what I should maybe focus on if my build is not right for an ice/kin.
