  1. Pretty excited about this. Always enjoy seeing new Blaster secondaries.
  2. You've done a great job with this, Sam. I'd love to see a lot of this stuff incorporated.

    I think my favorite thing is that several underutilized characters are pushed to the forefront, like Kirk Cage and King Midas. And by shaking up the power structure in the Isles, it opens up huge new possibilities for story arcs and strike forces.
  3. Longblade Chainsaw? Oh, man. I am going to arrest the hell out of some people with that.
  4. Which colors do you use for silver? I seem to have a tough time with that one, and just pick a couple different light gray shades.
  5. I want to know more about King Midas. He's one of the few "heads" of an enemy group that we never see.
  6. I've got Washout (kinetic/water def) and Soda Jerk (water/ice blaster.)
  7. Please tell me that by July/August, you mean *next* year. My wallet is still crying.
  8. One that always amuses me is any mission where you've got body bags as glowies. If you click the one that's not the "right" one, you get the message, "You find nothing of interest."

    I find this a rather worrisome reaction to finding a corpse. "Aww...this dead guy is *boring.*"
  9. Most of my best pickups were when City of Villains went live. Among the best were Downfall (Champion), Swindle (Freedom), Witch Doctor (Pinnacle) and Penance (Pinnacle.) Had a few good ones since Freedom went live, though...Electrickster (Protector), Packrat and Jackboot (Exalted) being the best. Also have a few good ones thanks to punctuation tricks, like Rumble-Bee (Protector), Boogie-Man (Champion), and Black.Out (Liberty.)

    I've got a great idea for a Water blaster; I'm hoping I can reserve the name somewhere. I'll keep you posted.

    Edit: Score! Coming soon to Guardian is the water/ice blaster, Soda Jerk!
  10. I've reloaded a few times, and still no sound. HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO HEAR LORD NEMESIS' COMMANDS?!
  11. A lot of great ideas in here. I especially like the Clockwork Palace in Boomtown, and the idea of redesigning certain parts of villain zones to make them less scummy.

    As much as I'd like to see more villain content, I think it's true that the blueside needs it more. The zones are old, and the content, for the most part, is boring. Too much redundancy among contacts, and too many hunt missions. (Found one in Steel not long ago who ONLY gave out hunt missions. That was an unpleasant surprise.)

    I think Steel is the best choice for a redesign--add some shiny buildings, add some new 10-15 contacts, streamline and update the old ones.

    As for which zone I WANT to update...Brickstown. MOAR ZIG PLZ.
  12. Trying to watch it--I'm asleep when they air, so I have to catch them after the fact--and I'm getting no sound.
  13. I actually turned flight off so that I could run up the battleships. So cool.

    Your DXP Plans

    Quacksalver (ill/emp controller) 35->50. (My 8th 50 in as many years!)
    Zillionaire (sr/kin tank) 15->20.
    ButterscotchDispensr (Dark/Dark dom) 20->25.
    Time Bandit 3025 (beam/time corr) 20->25.
    Johnny Impossible (SJ/energy scrapper) 15->20.

    Not bad, considering weird sleep patterns knocked me out of the prime hours.
  15. I've done two of the DA solo story arcs, and I find that I really enjoy the optional non-combat missions at the end. They flesh things out a little, which I like. I'm interested to see where they lead.

    Also, the incarnate shifts applying in DA. I *love* that.

    Especially since you can get most of the repeatables IN the superpacks. Everything but the signature summons.

  18. While I was disappointed that I didn't make the semifinals--I thought ButterscotchDispensr was a strong contender--I still had a great time. There were some great costumes in my instance (including Captain Dysentery--congrats on making it as far as you did!) And I can at least take pride in the compliments I got from other players.

    Great event
  19. One of my main characters is TeddyRoosevelt, a war mace/invuln tanker. I like to think of him as being historically accurate, right down to the laser beam eyes.
  20. Blasters started in issue 0 with 5 secondary sets. They now have seven. It's time for some new ones. (And if they can be modified to serve dominators as well, hey, all the better.)

    Would love to see some new defensive sets for the melee types too.
  21. There's no way they would hold it for another month and a half. Beta testing for an issue has rarely taken more than two months; testing for I22 started on January 11. That puts us at almost a month and a half now, so I'd expect to see it...probably by March 6th.

    Which, I would say, qualifies as "soon (tm)."
  22. I may have to give it another try now that there's easier access to travel powers...but back when it was introduced, I HATED the Hollows. It got to the point where I'd join teams, then immediately quit when I found out they were running that zone. I hated having to run all the way there just to clear the "talk to Wincott" from my missions so that I could get back to the action. When I did run the zone...it was a pain in the butt to get around, and I got bored with the missions quickly. I'm still not sure I need to take on Frostfire again.

    On the plus side, it was one of the most popular zones for Taxibots. I miss them.
  23. I've got some 35s I'd like to build up. Most likely the Peacebringer (which I don't enjoy playing that much) and contoller (because I'm likely to find teammates; Force Fields is kinda worthless when you're solo.)
  24. Plaid as a pattern for shirts/pants. And suspenders.
