    If you don't have a mission marked as active (i.e. in red, not yellow), it will go to the first in your list.

    IIRC, after you've bought the code, you're asked which account you would like to apply it to. At no point do you actually get to see the full code, as it's completely non-transferable (i.e. can't gift it :sad.

    And DEFINITELY make sure your plaync account's email is current, otherwise Bad ThingsĀ™ could happen.

    Decreasing your resolution would make it appear bigger... but you'd lose a massive amount of detail in-game (I'd say it's not worth it).

    Looks like something is rather messed up with your video card's drivers. My guess is you're not even using ATI drivers, but a generic VESA or VGA driver emergency fall-back drivers instead. If you right click on your desktop, go to Properties, and then over to the last tab, what does it say your video card/monitor is (likely 'something-another on Generic PNP Monitor'... don't recall exactly how it looks on XP)?

    Also, what problems did you have when you tried to update your drivers? Likely, updating is your only option (unless your video card is damaged, which'd also explain why you appear to be using generic drivers).

    Which server are you on? It's most likely that the Atlas Park on that server is in the middle of a giant map-server-puke moment.

    Edit: Oops, I totally missed that the title said 'Freedom' in it... my bad

    Edit2: I just logged into AP on one of my characters. If you're still having the problem, try sending a /petition on another character with the info about the character(s) that are stuck.

    Am I the only one that enjoyed the ride up to 24, and thought it was a rather good AT to solo (teaming, of course, goes without say of being excellent)? I'd generally keep my distance (ranged defense ftw), and joust the enemies with Pummel whenever it was recharged (jousting being an important part, as you don't want to let THEM pummel you where your ranged defense would be useless).

    Personally, I've had bugged missions introduce the Storm Elementals, Ghosts (not the Cimerora version), and at least one other group. I also remember hearing of Vanguard appearing in a bugged mission once before (before they were added officially). I'd be curious to see if it might be possible to fanangle some new factions to appear in the Mission Architect early...

    I was on my 50 Fire/Kin Controller the other day and decided to randomly join a PUG in PI (I believe I was the only 50 on the team, but most were around 45). There was another Fire/Kin on the team also. I kept everyone on the team Speed Boosted pretty much constantly (even when there was a multi-way split)... the other Fire/Kin, on the other hand, wouldn't give me Speed Boost... so I had to rely on transference to keep my blue bar up (it gets hard to reliably hit with transference when the enemies are dying so fast).

    I've found that whenever I play my Fire/Kin, I will never, ever get SBed when there's another kin on the team, unless the other kin is (1) someone I know, (2) one of the non-lurkers in one of the main global channels on my server. IMO, most Fire/Kins make the set look like it's actually a really poor set- because they're so damn lazy with their powers (why am I the only one using Flash Fire, Cinders, Fulcrum Shift, Transference, and the AoE Immob?). I'm lucky if the other Fire/Kin just summons their imps and turns on hot feet and stays in the back.




    (I'm sure there are just as many good Fire/Kins as most any other combo... it's just that the lazy bums completely drown them out)

    It means the duration can't be modified (protection/defense = works/doesn't, resistance = amount modification).

    You mean, it's crashing once you click 'I Agree' on the updater, and BEFORE it shows the little CoH splash screen before the normal game window (or full screen) comes up? Do you get some sort of error dialog, and does it list an executable name (i.e. such as 'cohupdater.exe' or 'cityofheroes.exe'?), if so which one?

    Also, what exactly did you do? Did you update your drivers? If so, what version? Also, did you do a clean install of the drivers using Driver Sweeper to remove the old ones?

    Probably should have posted this in the prior thread, since all the info and other is already in there.

    You have an interesting definition of 'rely'

    Every powerset in the game is quite playable with just SOs, and mostly they all perform similiarly (for their intended purpose, it's hard to compare two different ATs and say which is performing 'better').

    The type of ram and how much would depend on your processor & motherboard... also, RAM doesn't go in either PCI or PCIE slots (or did you jump topics? )

    That's ("they are not universal benefits") isn't really true... at all, for Set Invention Enhancements. If you slot multiple of the same set in a power, you will get the 'set bonus' which applies across your entire character, and some of the special invention enhancements apply a universal bonus of some sort themselves (Luck of the Gambler: +Recharge is a much-loved example).

    CoH is definitely a different and multi-leveled (and I don't mean character levels!) game, where you can play and enjoy it if you're a pure casual player (something most other non-Hello Kitty Online MMOs are designed to keep out), or some definition of 'hard core'.
