That's more likely than not a driver issue. Updating your driver might fix it.

Or Pocket D (both zones have suppression fields, which act as if you were in combat).

The Snipping Tool is included in Vista and 7 (if you're still on XP, shame on you! ). You can find it by just typing 'snipping tool' in the start menu, or going to start menu -> all programs -> accessories -> snipping tool. I love the Snipping Tool, since it includes built-in cropping that's a lot nicer than mspaint's (and faster to load than the gimp... and isn't the gimp).

I've spent a lot of time on 50s, doing lots of lvl 50 TFs, lots of farming... I think I've gotten ~3 purples. Mind you, other people have gotten a lot more than me, but I'm not sure if their drop rate is actually any better than me and they just spend a lot more time farming. Purples, while worth a lot, aren't really incredibly profitable. I'd really just try to focus on farming at +0/x8, as that level will give you the most salvage/minute, recipes/minute, and shards/minute- which'll easily outweigh the amount of increased inf you'd get from individual enemies at higher difficulties.

Praetoria has some hilarious missions (now go get me my tea, damnit! ).

It's probably the best way, and doesn't take a lot of time investment... And yet, I'm still too lazy to invest the time I do spend on the market in making really any money!

If you want maximum shards, +0/x8 is what you want (come i20, -1/x8), that should get you the highest shard rate- at the sacrifice of some amount of inf (at -1, your recipes will also sell for a fair amount less on average).

Depending on your kill speed, you may or may not increase your rate with bosses enabled... we don't know their exact drop rate, unfortunately.

Just an FYI for anyone reading this, but this is considered an exploit, and totally not working as intended (not that I expect anyone to get in trouble for using it, just that everyone shouldn't be surprised if that loophole is removed).

If you sit in the same spot with WoC off without being aggroed, then turn it on and they start aggroing you after a bit, definitely should report that, because that wouldn't be WAI.

This'd be great. I'm trying to get a friend to try out CoH again, and Praetoria is exactly what I wanna show off (low level Paragon is rather lame, while low level Rogue Isles I've done to death).

You don't need to write it down, you can just alt-tab between CoX and Mids', even if you're in Full Screen mode (some people apparently have problems when trying to alt tab... but that's not the game's fault, but most likely crappy drivers + slightly non standard video card... but even then, windowed mode will still work).

"Offer" can be used either way in English, and is frequently used both ways. In CoX's double blind market's context, 'offer' makes more sense the way it does due to the connotations behind the word.

That's because people make false assumptions about the origin of 'inflammable' (not that the common pronunciation helps that). Inflammable means something is able to be inflamed... Inflame + able = inflammable. Far from the only time that English's rules would lead you to the totally wrong conclusion.

And how much profit have you made? How much profit do you expect to make? With the amount of time you're going to have to spend to turn a profit, how many times more inf could you have made doing countless other things?


I'm also not seeing the 'problem'. You're buying everything up that's listed for under vendor price: Sellers are happy their stuff is moving faster. Buyers don't really care, because even vendor price is laughably low (mind you, I'm not like a lot of people here that have regularly hit the inf cap- I'd be surprised if my total net worth was more than a billion inf... that's all my inf, combined with all my enhancements/salvage/recipes! over several dozen characters).

To some extent, yes- but, it's unlikely there'd be enough people wanting to pay extra nao to warrant such a change (since you can already pay in multiple increments, up to a year in advance).
