It's impossible, because you'd need to have more than 2 billion to place that bid. Just email some to an alt.

Quote:The Snipping Tool is included in Vista and 7 (if you're still on XP, shame on you!I use the Snipping Tool that comes with windows. Lotta people do it a lotta different ways.
). You can find it by just typing 'snipping tool' in the start menu, or going to start menu -> all programs -> accessories -> snipping tool. I love the Snipping Tool, since it includes built-in cropping that's a lot nicer than mspaint's (and faster to load than the gimp... and isn't the gimp).

I always have a good time planting fake misstells on random channels
Generally of the variety Call Me Awesome posted...

You can also miss the Mayhem/Safeguard exploration badges... but you could join a lowbies team to pick them up later.

Quote:I've spent a lot of time on 50s, doing lots of lvl 50 TFs, lots of farming... I think I've gotten ~3 purples. Mind you, other people have gotten a lot more than me, but I'm not sure if their drop rate is actually any better than me and they just spend a lot more time farming. Purples, while worth a lot, aren't really incredibly profitable. I'd really just try to focus on farming at +0/x8, as that level will give you the most salvage/minute, recipes/minute, and shards/minute- which'll easily outweigh the amount of increased inf you'd get from individual enemies at higher difficulties. Thanks for the information about the farming. I've been slaughtering monsters for 3 days in a row now and still haven't gotten a single purple (I've done the ITF 8 times in the past two days and also got none from the Random Recipie Merit Reward Scrolls).
Quote:As for Going Rogue, I'm planning on getting that soon. Hopefully in a week or so, then I will start doing tip missions for influence. ).
Quote:Last but not least...I've played the market before but I found that I'm quite impatient. I have to get back into the market though because I hear that it's one of the best ways to get influence.
-
The best for purples? -1/x8. Anything that can drop a level 50 enhancement can drop a purple, so really, lvl 47 enemies would be best for that. If you're after money, I'd recommend +0/x8 or higher long as you can absolutely steamroll them.
No enemy has higher odds of dropping a purple than any other, so just slaughter all that come before you. Also, you might look into running tip missions (if you have GR) for the A-Merits... 2 A-Merits will net you a LotG+Recharge which'll sell for ~150 million inf. There's lots of other ways to make inf as well, such as playing the market. -
First off, this is player questions
IIRC, it was the start of last year where we had about ~4 months of free server transfers (though there was a weekly limit), allowing people to frequently move around, resulting in a setup similar to what you're asking for... -
Quote:If you want maximum shards, +0/x8 is what you want (come i20, -1/x8), that should get you the highest shard rate- at the sacrifice of some amount of inf (at -1, your recipes will also sell for a fair amount less on average).I just use the old battle maiden map set to X8 +2 and go to town. Though now that I have my very rare alpha slotted, I need to put it up to almost +4 just so it feels like a challenge.
Depending on your kill speed, you may or may not increase your rate with bosses enabled... we don't know their exact drop rate, unfortunately. -
Quote:Just an FYI for anyone reading this, but this is considered an exploit, and totally not working as intended (not that I expect anyone to get in trouble for using it, just that everyone shouldn't be surprised if that loophole is removed).you can stack standard veng in the same way, the easiest way to stack veng is to queue up veng on dead body and have someone tp the dead body in range of the poeple with veng queued (ive seen quad veng a few times with this method, having +120% def and capped tohit is really nice as well as the sizeable dmg bonus)

If you sit in the same spot with WoC off without being aggroed, then turn it on and they start aggroing you after a bit, definitely should report that, because that wouldn't be WAI.
-
What's going wrong? Is the problem that it isn't full screen? Just change that in menu -> options tab -> resolution from in-game.
-
This'd be great. I'm trying to get a friend to try out CoH again, and Praetoria is exactly what I wanna show off (low level Paragon is rather lame, while low level Rogue Isles I've done to death).
-
Can people on trial accounts start characters in Praetoria, or are they limited to Paragon & the Rogue Isles?
-
Is it just me, or are there not supposed to be any enhancements in the build you posted?
-
Quote:You don't need to write it down, you can just alt-tab between CoX and Mids', even if you're in Full Screen mode (some people apparently have problems when trying to alt tab... but that's not the game's fault, but most likely crappy drivers + slightly non standard video card... but even then, windowed mode will still work).Even if I just have the exact same build with three new LotG mules, it still requires me to 1) write down the order of my power choices and the slotting (do not tell me you're able to remember your entire build and recreate it in the respec screen without consulting any external sources, because you are a liar).
Not that that comes anywhere close to removing all the tedium, but you hardly need to whip out a piece of paper or anything! Your other points also still stand. -
Quote:"Offer" can be used either way in English, and is frequently used both ways. In CoX's double blind market's context, 'offer' makes more sense the way it does due to the connotations behind the word.Uber, just about every exchange in the world with the exception of the US real estate market uses the term "offer" as an order to sell and the term "bid' as an order to buy. It's a crying shame that CoX put that word "Offer" on the button when you want to buy something.
That's because people make false assumptions about the origin of 'inflammable' (not that the common pronunciation helps that). Inflammable means something is able to be inflamed... Inflame + able = inflammable. Far from the only time that English's rules would lead you to the totally wrong conclusion. -
Most procs will cause aggro, even in non-aggroing powers. It's WAI.
The only one off the top of my head I can think of that won't cause aggro is the contagious confusion proc (but not even 100% sure of that one). -
If you're willing to run at under-ultramode settings, you should be able to find a LOT of systems that'll have no problem running CoX for under $700 (although, the major OEMs like to put total **** video cards in their systems by default, so customization would be necessary with them). I'd be surprised if you couldn't find a system for ~700 that can do ultra mode as well.
(if you're looking for laptops, you'll have to be much carefuller with them... OEMs like to use integrated graphics solutions that are barely capable of running Aero...) -
Assuming your math is correct (and it looks like you used the ArcanaTime values, so +points for you!), it should apply, since the values are determined at the start of an attack.

Quote:And how much profit have you made? How much profit do you expect to make? With the amount of time you're going to have to spend to turn a profit, how many times more inf could you have made doing countless other things?Right now I just have to sit back and wait for genuine bidders to clear out those last 1200 offers I don't want to waste my own money on. I'm snapping up all the offers that list below vendor price.
I'm also not seeing the 'problem'. You're buying everything up that's listed for under vendor price: Sellers are happy their stuff is moving faster. Buyers don't really care, because even vendor price is laughably low (mind you, I'm not like a lot of people here that have regularly hit the inf cap- I'd be surprised if my total net worth was more than a billion inf... that's all my inf, combined with all my enhancements/salvage/recipes! over several dozen characters). -

To some extent, yes- but, it's unlikely there'd be enough people wanting to pay extra nao to warrant such a change (since you can already pay in multiple increments, up to a year in advance).
