  1. Seems pretty solid to me. I just don't understand why you slotted Conserve Power with 2 endred IOs and I also would put a knockback protection on Grounded (so you aren't knocked back while in the air) and I'd also remove the chance to disorient in Ball Lightning and go for a recharge IO in the power. But those are just minor changes I"d make.

  3. They are great in solo and team play with the fast activating blasts, the holds from ice blast and the cold debuffs and shields.

I'm not a regular PVP'er but everyone at the PVP forums say Ice Blast is garbage for PVP now since the attacks do damage according to their activation times now, and ice blast has very fast animating attacks.
  4. Slot Earth's Embrace for heal and rech, not resistance. I recommend 5 slotting Doctored Wounds.

Find a place to put the steadfast +3 def unique.

Slot Granite armor for resistance as well as defense. Sorta like this:

    Level 38: Granite Armor
    • (A) Defense Buff IO
    • (39) Luck of the Gambler - Recharge Speed
    • (40) Gift of the Ancients - Run Speed +7.5%
    • (42) Aegis - Resistance/Endurance
    • (46) Aegis - Resistance
    • (46) HamiO:Ribosome Exposure

    Thanks again.
I like Umbral's build, but I'd put a Decimation set in Blind for damage and frankenslot A.Boost with heal/rech and endmods/rech. Take group invisibility if you don't want to be constantly spending endurance. Most ill trollers prefer superior invis because they can stealth missions and never remember to click it, it's a costly toggle tho.
  9. Hell with two Mind controllers, regardless of secondary, you'll have so much crowd control you can get 3 fire blasters and you'll all be safe. IMO you'll quickly get tired of killing sleeping mobs one by one as you level up.

This would free up a slot to stick in Stamina to allow me to add another end mod in it.
Or you could replace the numinas in HF for 5 doctored wounds netting you 5% more global recharge. And doctored wounds aren't expensive
  11. Here's my planned build (although I must finish leveling and IO'ing my Spines/Dark first lol), it has:

    33.5% melee def
    52.8% s/l res
    52.5% rech
    3.37/sec recovery

Hmm that seems like the set will be quite difficult to play till level 20 - no decent attack chain till heavy mallet unless you take hurl boulder (which I suspect will be the most skipped power in the set).

They upped Spin's damage and lowered Focus' when they revamped Claws in i12 or i13, so I guess the descriptions havent been updated.

    Fire/Fire Advice

Put the Miracle unique in Health, not in RoTP. It needs to be in a passive power.
Same for the Numina Unique, don't put it in healing flames.
Ditch Acrobatics for one or two -KB IOs.
  15. It depends. Against a hard boss I use TF right after ET and then unload the rest. Against minions, Energy Punch+Bones masher+Dark Blast. If facing a hard target I use Placate+AS whenever it's ready.

Barrage can work too instead of E.Punch after you've got enough recharge to chain it decently.

The only other thing I see is Hot Feet and even with FS maxing it out the DoT would take forever to kill off an Lt or Boss.

Are the Imps doing the bulk of the killing for a soloing controller (I would think that bosses would murder the pets) or am I missing something?
You forgot Fissure (since you are talking about the Earth Epic). Fissure is great AoE damage.
  17. Great guide! I'm fairly knowledgeable on Dark Armor but I really enjoyed reading this, especially the strategies section. Great work!

  22. Chain induction is ok now, it 'keeps' your fury and doesn't steal your xp anymore.

But elec is pretty meh in the ST department. My elec melee brute is practically retired after hitting 50 because I was so disappointed with the lack of a heavy hitter outside of the tier 9 (remember L.Rod has a 90sec base recharge so it cannot be part of an attack chain like Footstomp).
  23. CAPS IS CRUISE CONTROL FOR COOL

Anyhow I'd look at Willpower, Invul or Fire as secondaries, Willpower being the easiest to build and most newbie friendly.
