  1. This thread has some cheaper human builds (which you can optimize depending on your budget), the one mentioned by nivho was started by some guy who was like 'I wanna see if you guys can come up with a build not muling Dwarf' and later he was 'now I wanna see builds without the fighting pool' (funnily that made people post a lot of stuff because the OP challenged the others instead of just asking), so the builds posted in that thread, besides expensive, may not be optimal.

While I'm enjoying my PB a lot, she's been leveling slow due to being on Champion (I usually play on Freem/Virtue) so I still use shields and stuff high end builds skip.

But now with Cobra Strike being identical (which is great imo) it does mean one can easily skip it on a tight build, more so if they can run the best single target attack chain. However if the build doesn't have the recharge for that, nothing wrong with continuing to use Crane Kick.
Yeah that's why I said it's not a big deal, just a minor 'conflict' with WP since you're only KB'ing one mob anyway.

I also love the animation (all of them on MA) but since my MA toon is a Tanker I skipped CK because I she's plenty durable and I want everyone near me because Tanker damage makes me cry but not so much on this toon because she's SD - MA meshes very well with SD on tankers because with storm kick you can get great defenses already on SOs and still do acceptable damage for a Tanker because of AAO.
  4. C'mon no one said Stone Melee?

    1) Tons of mitigation including a mag 4 hold, my frail SM/Elec Broot before the ELA changes (Energize etc) could tank at 22 because of Fault.

    2) End hog set that is awesome with an armor that has a +end power.

    3) Weakish AoE but you can get Fireball or whatever and Tremor is good mitigation with footstomp's radius and KD.

When someone posts saying, "hey here's my build, here's what i want to do, here's what I can spend," I am almost always one of the first people to give feedback.

When someone says "give me a build," I become annoyed. There are tons of builds posted in this section, many of which would fit the OP's needs. To me, it's bad enough to not be willing to make your own build, and much worse to not even be willing to browse the forums and decide which build you'd most like to steal on your own accord.
I know you help out with builds and other stuff too. I don't even think that you were rude in saying 'go make your own' since it's not uncommon, it's just the 'we don't give builds here' part like it was a general rule (as Aneko said, sound presumptuous). Nothing wrong with someone not wanting to give away builds or saying 'my build is secret' or stuff like that. But some people do like making up builds just for fun, so 'we never give builds' is not a rule in any AT forum. May be yours and you're certainly entitled to it.

Sorry for the name calling btw, that was unnecessary.

    Elm/EA advice

JC is like shadow maul, an attack with good damage and if it hits more than one mob it's great because it has a ST attack end/rech cost.

For pools I'd go hasten, CJ, leadership. You can cap s/l/e with those using some IOs, fighting is not a bad choice either if you have room. From ELM I'd only skip Havoc Punch.

I have this planned but you could get more recharge, HP and more defense even if you use kinetic combats which I didn't.

    Thanks Aneko… I will take a look.
Don't listen to some self-entitled tool who speak 'for the forums' or 'this game is srs bsness'. For some of us making builds is like a mini game, I actually like making builds for ATs I have experience with like lolStalkers.

My PB's planned build is sucky but I'm bad at making top end PBs, plus she's only 25ish and I don't think I'll level her soon or I'd try to help
  8. Heh 5 minutes ago someone was broadcasting in Freedom AP about some idiot who used Judgement on civvies
  9. Lightning Reflexes would help your offense (and end management because of power sink and energize recharging faster) much more than Assault and LR costs no end. Damage bonuses like Assault and even Musculature aren't that hot on a Brute because of low base damage and how fury works, I'd ditch assault and only consider Musc on high-base dmg ATs like Blasters, Scrappers, Stalkers and Doms.
  10. np, you'll see that the power you made auto will have a green circle around it so you'll always know if it's set to fire all the time or not.
  11. Control+click it. Only works for one power tho (I'd love to make both Hasten and the click mez protection auto on my EM/Nin Stalker).
  12. Oh didn't know it was updated already, thanks.

Anyway what Hopeling said. For example, most attacks and toggles (except for some heavy ones like damage auras) on my toons have 40-60% endredux so Cardiac helps a ton in all of them. Stamina/Quick Recovery is usually at 80-99% so Agility won't help as much, even though a part of it ignores ED cap. I got Agility T4 on my Stalker and didn't notice a lot of difference (he's EM/Nin so no endmod powers except for the usual recovery ones) but I like the recharge and defense boost in her case since she doesn't have end issues anyway and has no significant resists to justify cardiac.

If your brute is elec melee or elec armor for example, you'll get more sapping power from your attacks, damage aura, power sink etc. But you're probably not elec armor if you're having end issues.
  13. Some Incarnate values are not showing in Mid's new version, known bug.

Cardiac will help much more with end woes, but another good option if you don't need the resists is going Ageless destiny - my SS/Fire farmer broot went spiritual, he's terribly slotted for end reduction and he doesn't even need consume or blues after I got Ageless.
  14. I think I'm weird, I don't play Tankers but I love protecting squishies on my Brutes and even go punch someone in the face with my Stalker to get attention when he's beating up a squishy. Hell last Positron I ran I faceplanted twice because some stupid scrapper thought he could solo mobs and since well, he couldn't, there I went with my /ice blaster to melee to cast Ice Patch so I could help him. Didn't work out very well for me because of IP's stupid cast time
  15. I agree with you - ppl just think they have to squeeze every second from Momentum (like it was so hard to obtain again) and some have the impression the set is slow but the most used attacks to gain Momentum only have a 2 sec-2.2 sec cast time.
  16. Meh I did an ice/psi build in another thread with 118% global rech (actually 188% because it's permahasten) and 25%s/l (just because of Ice armor and CJ) with only the purple confuse set as 'expensive' and didn't even put the +3 steadfast, would be easy to lose a bit of recharge to maintain permadom and get to 45% s/l.
  17. ITF is the worst example when talking about the mez effects, but anyway in the case of Terrify, since it has a good base duration and is up every mob after some IOing, I slot it with 5 posi blasts+1 recharge (because you can't slot Terrify with -tohit)

    Vote to Kick

You don't know who did that.
On Freedom we were doing a series of BF/Lams at december 24 so everyone was making jokes and not caring much, dying a lot but we were succeeding, but for the lulz we started to blame someone for the deaths and made lots of vote kicks for him. He wasn't kicked because we were just kidding and he found it funny, but I could never see who did each vote. We used it as a joke that day, but it seems very poorly implemented, I agree with the OP.
  19. Perma hasten, perma dom, well slotted powers except TK Thrust which is a set mule, no breaking the bank (used the confuse purple set but not really needed). Mine is all purpled but still an old build with stamina, but with Drain Psyche I never felt the need for Hibernate, but you could pick it as the last power and just slot a heal/rech IO there. Mabe ditch Shiver, but I like it.

Btw from the above build, slotting frozen armor for resist is a waste since it's only f/c resist. Seems to be missing on KB protection too (both builds) - not an issue when you're permadom but I'd keep at least 3 points you can get from slotting a KC set on TK Thrust. But with Domination (5)+KC set (3)+KB IO (4) you can get 12 points so basically nothing will kb you.

I find that slotting AA with procs is a thing for controllers desperate for damage, but ymmv.

  20. Serious answer now: leave flag red and don't answer tells, simple (unless it's from an ingame friend but he'll probably understand).

Lol good ones, I prefer the original non-modified 'highlights' tho, like Pinkie Pie's Foreverrrrr or the normal Fluttershy cheering compilation

But I liked the FF7 adaptation lol.

    DB/DA build help

Maybe you won't even need two endredux 'pools' (perhaps only Cardiac, or only Energy Mastery) - I don't have a /DA Stalker but I have several DA Brutes and a 50 DA Scrapper and a DA Stalker is easier on the blue bar because you won't be running Cloak of Darkness and Death Shroud (the two heaviest /DA toggles, CoD is 0.26 and DS is 0.52, like CoF you didn't pick for now so I ignored it). Sure you'll find out as you play and IO the toon but depending on how it goes you may free some slots later like Superior Cond. YMMV of course because I haven't played the Stalker version.
  23. Poison is the Stalker of the debuff powersets like TA (Ok maybe TA is better when you have good recharge).
