    New to Doms

I *LOVE* my plant/fire. You get Seeds of Confusion at 8, and TONS of damage in fire.

I tried a lot of different combos, but this is the only DOM I have been able to stick with, 5 bubs shy of 50 now.
  2. This was the 'Save McHackersmith!" tip mission.
  3. I got stuck in a *tip* mission today. Everything was dead, but the mission would not complete. I bugged it, and within 5 minutes I had a GM come to me, diagnose the problem, and complete the mission.

I don't know why I should be surprised, in 6 years of playing this game I have never had a bad experience with GMs or customer support. Thanks Y'all, and give GM_Kenie a bid 'howdy' from Kinrad.

I don't think anyone has ever thought I had a superior build. I must have screwed up and posted someone else's!

I can't wait for i19, with inherent stamina I will be able to take some flavor powers!

I keep hearing this, but don't know what they have changed? Can you provide any insight?
  6. This is my current build, not necessarily the best, but cheap and effective.

Defense is capped for Smashing, Lethal, Range, and AoE.

Bring 2 or 3 Electric Doms and you have an area on complete lockdown.

They wake up when they get hit? Sure, but they go right back to sleep, or you just knock them down, and they go back to sleep.
That's 'drop the AoE sleep' as in drop it in place, not don't pick it up.
    Poor choice of wording, sorry.
    That sleep is the *******... whatever that is. (wow, they censor s h i z n i t?)
  9. My Elec/Elec has been a beast so far.

Drop the AoE sleep (which pulses and keeps them sleeping), and then hit them with melee goodness, which also sleeps...

I may as well have rolled up a brute

    Breathe of Fire

I think it depends on your play style. I have a tank (WP/Fire), that I took it on. I have to jump out of a group and fire it off and then jump back in for my other 2 AoEs, but I don't mind for two reasons:

    1) He's a solo farmer
    2) He's a monkey... jumping around like an idiot just seems to fit!
  11. I'm going to guess Crane Kick can currently hit a target across an outdoor map... I APPROVE!

    That is pure win.
I used to have a stone/fire brute with a fully slotted RoTP. I deleted him at level 47 to make room for new characters, long before they added server slots.
  13. I mean no disrespect, just offering my opinion.

Weird, I must be seeing different numbers on yours when I imported it.
I know my ranged defense if off by 1/2 %, but I'm not too worried about it, he'll still be pretty much indestructible in PVE (which is all I care about).

How do you know what you def resistance is? I can't seem to find that in Mids. Do you know how much worse that is than Super Reflexes? I have a BS/SR I take out from time to time to farm with, and I don't think he's ever had his defense lowered.

EDIT: Oh yeah, I don't know what the numbers are exactly, but I know that stealth's defense suppresses when you attack or are attacked, I think half of it?
  14. It seems unnecisarily expensive for a non-softcap build.
I believe my build below is cheaper and is softcapped to all positions as a reference.

  15. I *love* my racecar melee brute! It really is subjective.
  16. Depends on your attack set. OG works really well if you have stuns in your set, since you will stun a boss in one shot with the stacking. Plus OG costs next to nothing to run, and CoF costs a metric ton in comparison.
  17. I took "players should be happy to learn they have three new power selections to play with when 19 launches." to mean that because fitness is inherent there will be three powers that majority of the player base currently chooses (swift/hurdle, health, stamina) that the player's will be able to choose different pools or powers from their primaries/secondaries that they had skipped.
  18. As a husband and father of two small girls I would like to think that I could be capable of such heroism. I hope that I shall never need to know.
  19. Good to know, thanks for the advice and information!
  20. How do you get to Paragon from the Rogue Islands? I just switched to Rogue last night.
  21. Ah, OK. That's why I'm not seeing it then. Thanks for the information.
  22. I just picked up "Concentrated Strike", and am confused.
I thought that after I used it, "Power Siphon" was supposed to automatically recharge, but that is not occurring?
I ran a couple of quick tests, thinking maybe it just grants the power without recharging the existing power, but I do not get any indication of that either?
    What am I missing?

I can always check tonight (providing Hurricane Earl will let me), when I get home, but was just curious if there was information on the wiki sight.
  24. So if I understand correctly, (and I'm not sure that I do):

For 100 merits, I can buy 5 random rare recipe drops
For 50 merits, 20 mil. inf., I can buy an A-Merit and get 5 random recipe drops
For 1 or 2 A-Merits, I can obtain just about any specific recipe I want

Is there a list of of what each recipe costs in terms of A-Merits?
