Reaffirming Alignment

I completed it and got an icon saying something like... when this timer expires you will be rewarded with a power" Paraphrased of course.

How long is this timer? And which power is it going to be? I reaffirmed hero status.

Thanks

The timer is 7 days, and the power is whatever it says the countdown is to.
See the wiki page for more info.

thanks for the link.

I didnt see a place where it has a limited amount of uses other than losing it if I switch alignments. I know it says temp power but is it permanent as long as I dont switch powers?

Yes.

It may sound like a sily question, but if I re-affirm my alignment yet again (gotta love those morality merits) does the countdown start once more or do I keep my temp power active?

As long as you don't change alignments, once you've gotten your Alignment power you'll keep it.

The first time you affirm your alignment, you get 50 Reward Merits and the "Countdown to X" timer power. When the timer power runs out (7 days real time), then you get the actual Alignment Power - you then keep that power forever, unless you change alignments.

On 2nd and subsequent affirmations of your alignment, you get an Alignment Merit.

So if I understand correctly, (and I'm not sure that I do):

For 100 merits, I can buy 5 random rare recipe drops
For 50 merits, 20 mil. inf., I can buy an A-Merit and get 5 random recipe drops
For 1 or 2 A-Merits, I can obtain just about any specific recipe I want

Is there a list of of what each recipe costs in terms of A-Merits?

Last first - see the wiki (at least the Crucible entry has it.) The purple and PVP recipes cost more than 1-2 A-merits (from 25-35, IIRC.)

All I see is that "IO recipes can be had for 1-2 Villain Merits each", but not a listing of which cost what?

It also confirms what you said about PvP recipes and that Purples can be bought with 'villain merits', but I don't see a listing of how much for each?

I can always check tonight (providing Hurricane Earl will let me), when I get home, but was just curious if there was information on the wiki sight.

Most of the stuff is 1 Merit. For example, I bought a Basilisk Gaze Recharge/something at level 25 for a friend at 1 Merit.

Lotg 7.5, high end procs etc are 2 Merits.
