We put a MOTD in the URP channel stating a 7pm start time. Of course, nobody expects it to actually start at that time, given previous experience, but it does at least give it a chance of actually starting by 8pm.

Newport, Early Sunday morning

Claire sat at the desk in the office, going over the list of preparations once again. Venessa was still sleeping yet; normally, on those rare occasions she woke first, Claire would have been content to just lie there watching her sleep. Still half-amazed each time to have found somebody so perfect for her. But these weren't normal times, not even by the standards of the things they had already gone through. And she was determined to be ready when the time came, to be sure they didn't miss their chance. That she didn't let Venessa down, that this time she would keep her safe.

Not that there were many preparations to make. They wouldn't be able to take much, they would need to be ready to go at any time if the word came. A single case each, stored in the trunk of the limo, just the essentials. Including all her jewelery; her credit cards would be no good there and they would be arriving almost as paupers. The thought was enough to make her smile, briefly. She knew what the people who knew her would think about that. But Venessa was the most precious thing in her life. Leaving everything behind was a price she would happily pay. She had even, after the attack on the Compound, considered taking up the offer she had been given before all the trouble had started. Briefly. The price of that safety would have been far higher though.

It had been a considerable relief when Daddy had called, with his news. She had no idea how many favours he must have called in to get them this chance. She hadn't told Venessa everything. An emergency Government evacuation of people to other dimensions wasn't something that would be easy. There were only so many Portals and even fewer safe worlds that they had close relations with who would help. There weren't many places on the list of priority names. Daddy had managed to get them on, somehow, along with her eldest brother and his family. But Daddy, Mother, Randy...they wouldn't be going. And Claire herself would have to help the security forces protect the portals if word got out and people panicked. But Venessa would only fret if she knew, so she had kept quiet.

Claire took one more look at the list, then put it to one side. There really wasn't anything more that could be done. With a sigh she stood and made her way to the kitchen. Waking Venessa to a freshly cooked breakfast might take both their minds off things. For a while.

Other than Alpha (and then not always)...none.

The time and effort to get a T4 far outweighs the benefit for me.

I just want to say that I never enjoyed the iTrials. Not at all. I am extremely glad to have some non-Trial Incarnate content, and will never do another Trial again.

And I have absolutely no problem with the major EBs in DA being scalable to AVs. In fact, I can't understand why they don't already, unless it's a bug. I don't care if 8 people can do something in DA and one person can't solo a Trial. I'm having fun, and I have no objection to other people having their fun too.

I may bring somebody in to play for this. Depends on whether I feel ready to bring the group into proper play yet.

Add both my accounts together and I would be an E. I've never found the need to have more than 1 billion to kit out a 50.

On the multiple versions of a character thing, I too have a couple that started out purely because I wanted them to be able to run on both Blue and Red sides. Before GR and side-switching, obviously. I also run two accounts, and have versions of both Jake and Claire on each, so that I can bring them both to PD if the occasion demands.

This of course doesn't count alternate universe selves. Which several people have. Or future selves. Or clones. Or...

Yeah, I think I'm going to weigh in on the 'wait until he's removed' side. Especially as we still don't know how the rest of the SSA will play out yet.

Just to let people know that the plot is not dead and buried yet.

Indeed, the visitors from Carnie-Earth have established a foothold and schemes are being schemed and plots are being put into motion.

We also have to remember that Street Fighting and Staff Fighting have been two of the most popular sets called for in the Suggestions thread. It makes sense from their point of view to charge for the sets that people really want.

I don't think anybody has listed the 1978 Dr. Strange film. It was funkadelic!

I would say that, if you are going to RP this character, you need to remember that 'prejudiced' doesn't have to mean 'raving bigot'. Be subtle about it, don't just go around saying how badly you hate super-powered people, try to make it noticeable through actions instead. Be quick to praise the efforts of non-powered heroes. And quicker to lament the mistakes made by powered ones. Make it an undercurrent, rather than the characters main reason for being.
