Abandon isn't the same as Complete. Abandon makes it like you never talked to the contact and accepted the current mission.
It's been tested with the The Code Merlin arc from Tavish Bell. I proposed the idea that using the new Abandon Mission feature would allow you to retake the mission, and get a different set of Possessed Scientists for the 2nd mission of the arc. Results were that you get the same Possessed Scientists.
I would think that abandoning a mission taken at X, and retaking it at X+1 would give you the mission at X+1. -

To give an UnOfficially Official Answer to the OP's original question: Yes. It look exactly the same.
Crafted one earlier today, and popped it on and off to see. 30 min timer on it, so you're really better off dropping the 10k for the 2 hour version. -

I did make one change, though. I dropped Phalanx Fighting, took Boxing at 24, and took Grant Cover at 28. I decided that I liked GC's Recharge/Movement/Defense DeBuff Resistance better than the small Def from PF.

Considering I've been doing that on new characters, and supplimenting it with Ninja Run, since I got the Natural Booster Pack...
Though I do take Combat Jumping for the defense it gives, and Super Speed for max vertical movement in missions. -

I dunno, I usually find mezz resist skippable villain-side until the 20s. Most of the mezz-happy groups heroes have to face are easily avoided by villains, and anything else in that level range either throws them so uncommonly enough that just carrying a Break Free into missions against them usually proves to be enough.

Yes, I read the same posts here about vanishing items. Personally, I never lost anything. As a matter of fact, the first time they went down, I tried to claim an Awaken, not knowing they were down. 1) 20 is the maximum number of e-mails with attachments.
2) Influence is a "bonus" attachment. You can send an e-mail with Inf or with Inf and 1 other item. They each have their own space when composing an e-mail.
3) I doubt it will expire. I have an Awaken that was mailed to me on launch, and has been sitting there since. It even survived the various @Global Chat Server downtimes. -

At the least, you could run the arcs in the 45-50 bracket. Most (if not all) will "exemplar" you to 50, and those that drop you to 45-49 won't make a difference due to the new SSK system. You'll still have all powers as though you were 50. And any flashback that exemplars you to 44 won't make a difference either, since Level 50 is just 3 slots, and the game essentially ignores what level slots were placed at when exemplaring. -
